Sia’s bright demeanor turned into a faint glimmer that morning. She didn’t look like she was after Denver anymore, but there was no obvious sign of defeat in her eyes, either.

Sia didn’t talk much with Catherine, which made Catherine think that Sia was feeling the sting of defeat.

Sia left the flat with a half-hearted smile.

As she trudged out the door, her presence feeling lighter and less invasive, Catherine’s heart also felt lighter.

She turned toward Denver and said, “We should get ourselves a new house.”

“Do you want me to buy one?” Denver said.

“No, not with that bank card,” Catherine quickly said. “I want us to buy a house together with our own income.”

Denver sighed. “It’s going to take at least two years, and even then, we’ll need to take a loan if we want to buy a decent house.”

“I know, but we have to buy a new house,” Catherine resolutely said, her eyes sparkling with resolve. “We can’t stay in an apartment like this forever.”

“Sure, but I should tell you about one thing.”

Philip and Green Tortoise’s fight moved from the castle and further down south.Their fight was like watching fast poetry in motion, with both of them using textbook aural techniques that required perfect breathing and emotional control over oneself. They did not condense their aura around their limbs. Rather, they relied on the flow and how smoothly they were able to pulse the aura through their attacks.Pulsing the aura was a master-level technique, where one punch could have the same effect of ten or a thousand punches, with each pulsing adding more damage to the target. However, if one didn’t have enough aura reserves in their body, using pulsing attacks could have a devastating effect on their own body. Not only would they be drained of energy, their energy pathways would also be affected negatively. So, generally, when using pulsing attacks, two to three pulses were stacked together. For instance, Rocky could use this technique, but he never really used it in the middle of the b

  • CHAPTER 619

Sheryl was on her way back to the castle, but she found through one of the trees where Sakura and others were.So she stopped midway.“They are all at one place, huh. That’s good,” Sheryl was changing direction, but then she noticed Philip and Green Tortoise fighting.Philip was the one pushing Green Tortoise, and it didn’t even look like Philip was giving it his all.“So he’s the one who kept Green Tortoise busy,” Sheryl slightly frowned. “If it wasn’t for him, I might have been in trouble. Did he intervene for my sake, or… was it just a coincidence?”She didn’t want to feel like she owed someone, especially without her knowing.“It seems he doesn’t need any help,” Sheryl continued walking, and she arrived at the spot where Sakura and others were.Other than Sakura, everybody else looked bad. Alex was in the worst situation out of all of them.It hadn’t been long since she healed them, but now, they seemed like they needed healing once more.Since Sheryl did not require using her own

  • CHAPTER 618

“I didn’t expect you to lose,” Leo told Serena.“Cut me some slack. I got this far with just tech,” Serena retorted. “If I had a special forest ability like her, I would have long won the battle.”“Not accepting the result is also one way of fighting,” Leo faintly smirked and shifted his gaze to Sheryl. “Why don’t you let her go? I’m sure you don’t want to fight me now.”The vein in Sheryl’s neck thickened. If the Eagle Rise Group started supporting Lily, this would change everything. While it was forbidden to do any dealings with Eagle Rise Group because they were a rival organization, it was a whole different matter if the Eagle Rise Group was willing to become a subordinate group under a certain someone. How did Lily even manage to convince Leo Adler who was known to be highly ambitious?“Did Lily tell you she’d marry you or something?” Sheryl asked.“I’m not interested in marrying someone who fucks different men every weekened,” Leo said. “I could still do it if it truly benefits

  • CHAPTER 617

From afar, it looked like the eastern side of the castle was swallowed by nature, for vines snaked up the pillars and covered the balcony. The clashes between the two ladies rumbled like thunderous drums of war.Vines coiled and struck at once like a hundred serpents attacking in unison.BOOM~!Serena’s sonic pulse didn’t just shatter the vines but atomized them. Each wave of sound carved the air like transparent blades. Bark exploded like sawdust. The debris flew about like shrapnel and pierced through walls and stones alike.Their fight proved too dangerous to be nearby.Beastie and Cindy saw the fight in mid-air and stopped fighting Ronny. They ignored him and followed where the fight took them.Ronny didn’t go after them because he had to focus on recovering from the nasty injury he had suffered.“This kind of injury would have been nothing if I was young,” Ronny thought. “But it’s taking a toll on me now. I’ve truly gotten old.”“Verdant Maw!”Roots rose from the ground and bound

  • CHAPTER 616

Brother Linen could not see anything because it was completely dark.He took every step carefully. He relied on his aura to figure out the path, though it wasn’t easy because there was no free air flow there. But a fork appeared ahead. He stopped there.“This isn’t good…“Should I take left or right?”He took a risk and burned his aura, creating a light, hoping the heat wouldn’t unlock any traps. He saw a board in the middle of the fork. The words ‘Left is Right. Right is Left’ were written on it.“The heck does this mean? Is it saying the left direction is the right one, or the right direction is the left one?”No matter how much he thought about it, he couldn’t come to a decision. He looked to the left side. He saw a stirrup on the wall nearby. He looked to the right side, and at a similar distance, there was another stirrup.Brother Linen scratched his head.“Now that I look at these paths, both seem identical, like they’re mirror reflection of each other.“That means… what if…”He

  • CHAPTER 615

In the royal castle.Brother Linen was roaming through the castle. There were no maids, butlers or any workers that he could see.The silence was unnerving him.It felt too creepy, as if he was being watched by someone. It was too quiet. Not the peaceful kind of quiet—the ‘a knight might sneeze behind you and stab you before apologizing’ kind.He crouched behind pillars and marble statues of animals which were staring down at him.Just then, he found Wilson’s dead body.He recognized him.“I-Isn’t this Wilson?” Linen’s heart started pounding even more. “I heard he became a cook after coming here, but he was strong enough to be a top ranker before he fully grew a mustache. W-Who could have killed him? Judging by the shock in his eyes, it seems he was taken by surprise. That explains it. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense for him to lose. Still, for him to die like this…”Brother Linen squatted down and closed Wilson’s eyes.Brother Linen personally did not know Wilson, but the least he c
