"Lord George, are you drunk or something?"
"What do you mean you came to apologize to Melissa?!"
"You should be more concerned about your ball-less son!"
"You should be taking revenge on her and her stupid husband, Max!"
Her voice was laced with venom and hatred as she spoke.
Lord George Lucas stared at her and shook his head in disappointment.
'Clearly, she doesn't know who her son-in-law is yet.'
"Lady Megan, you are yet to drink from the wrath of the great one, I get why you wouldn't understand why I'm doing this."
Lord George Lucas whispered into the ears of Lady Megan, his heart thumping loudly as his gaze fixated on Max Xanderson.
"Melissa I'm kneeling here today and publicly asking that you forgive my family, especially my son Arnold for everything he has done to you."
As Lord George Lucas pleaded, Martins Lucas, his second son ran in and joined his dad to plead for mercy on their family.
"Melissa, please forgive my brother and don't order total obliteration of our family, please."
Martin Lucas' voice was laced with sorrows, he too was bandaged all over his head.
Melissa Stevens stared at Lord George Lucas and his son, her jaw dropped in surprise.
"Lord George…what are you talking about?"
"I can't order the obliteration of the influential Lucas family…how can I even do that?"
Melissa asked as she stared at him and his son in bewilderment.
Sophia Stevens, Chloe Maxwell, Lady Megan Stevens, Eunice Stevens and the others were beyond perplexed.

Eunice Stevens' voice was barely above whispers as he gazed upon Melissa with jealousy.

Lord George Lucas said as he signalled one of his henchmen dressed in a black suit and black shades, he came immediately and presented the suitcase to Melissa.
"That's not all, we have also decided to sign an investment contract with you worth $1,000,000,000 and this would be increased to any amount you request for in the future."
"What is going on here?!"
"I ask again, Lord George, is this a joke?!"
"How can you be giving gifts worth billions of dollars to someone whose husband crushed the balls of your second son?!"
Lady Megan Stevens vented in anger, her teeth gritting.
She was only concerned that Melissa Stevens was getting all these gifts and attention.
Lord George Lucas ignored her ranting and clapped twice and the door was opened immediately as his messenger brought in gifts of different caliber and laid it on Melissa's feet who was now beginning to feel embarrassed from the whole thing.
"This is a Neom diamond, it's worth over $900,000,000."
"This is a Tunisian artefact from the national museum, I bought it for $1,000,000, you can have it."
The situation was intense as Lord George Lucas and his son continued listing and presenting Melissa Stevens with gifts beyond everyone's imagination.

Melissa Stevens was stunned to her bone marrow, she didn't have a word for Lord George Lucas.

Melissa Stevens managed to blurt, her voice and facial expressions showing that she was even more confused than the rest of the people in the room.

With that said, Lord George Lucas signalled his people and he was wheeled out and in a matter of minutes everyone was gathered around Melissa asking her questions.

"Why is he saying you shouldn't order the obliteration of his family?"
"Why is he so afraid of…"

The voice of Lady Megan Stevens roared through the voyeur as she demanded an audience.
Walking slowly she stared at the gifts and immediately took the Neom diamond and put it in her purse.
"As your grandmother, I think it's best for you that I hold onto this diamond…you know for safekeeping."
Her voice was laced with determination as she stared lecherously at Max Xanderson.
"What!"
"Wait! Grandma, these gifts were clearly given to my daughter, you can't seize them!"
Mrs Sophia Stevens immediately lashed out, she had been holding it up, but this time she wanted to let Lady Megan Stevens get what she deserved.
