Chapter two

In a cold tiny room was the weeping and the wincing of Melissa Stevens heard slowly.

Arnold Lucas had just ended the video call with Max Xanderson.

Walking closer to Melissa he stared at her in disgust.

"Look at you, how possible do you think it was for Lord Dylan Stevens to send you to me to get an invitation to the grand general's wedding?"

 Arnold Lucas said vehemently as he couldn't take his eyes off Melissa Stevens.

Her beauty was beyond anything anyone had seen.

Lord Dylan Stevens had wanted her to marry into one of the top elite families but her actions led her to marry Max Xanderson.

Melissa Stevens only hung her head down as tears wells down her cheeks.

"You should have considered my proposal before jumping into that river to save that non-entity."

"Now look at what you have brought upon yourself."

Arnold Lucas' voice was laced with disdain and venom, he had always hated Max Xanderson from the day he saw him.

Melissa Stevens couldn't help but weep even more as she lay there on the bare floor holding her stomach and wincing in pain.

"How could I not have seen this coming?"

"I mean Alice, never really loved me, how didn't I see that she had me set up?"

Melissa's thoughts went on a rampage as she sobbed slowly.

Before she could realize what was happening, Arnold Lucas grabbed her legs and tried to force himself on her.

Melissa immediately struggled and was able to deliver a low blow to Arnold Lucas and made her way to the door.

To her greatest disappointment, the door was locked, as she turned, she was faced with a heavy slap that almost blinded her.

Taa!!!

Melissa Stevens fell to the ground, her face was red hot as tears wells down her eyes.

Arnold Lucas walked up to her and dragged her back away from the door.

"I was planning on going easy on you but you are just too stubborn."

Arnold Lucas said as he threw Melissa Stevens back on the concrete floor.

He winced in a little pain as the low blow Melissa Stevens had delivered hadn't really connected to the right spot.

"I will teach you a lesson for this!"

Arnold Lucas yelled as he ran towards Melissa with his dagger.

As he ran towards her, Melissa maneuvered her long legs and Arnold Lucas slipped to the ground.

Immediately she picked up the dagger and held it up to her throat.

"I have had enough of all this!"

"Arnold! if you take one more step I will slit my throat!"

"I will end this misery here and now!"

Melissa Stevens threatened, her tears hitting the concrete hard floor profusely.

Arnold Lucas slowly stood up from the floor laughing mindlessly.

Melissa Stevens stared at him in surprise, her eyebrows furrowed in bewilderment.

"You think this is funny?"

"Or you think I can't do it?"

"I will slit my throat right now and have the police arrest you for murder."

Melissa Stevens said, her voice was laced with sorrows as tears welled down her cheeks.

"Well Melissa, are you so desperate to die already?"

"Your family aren't done with you yet and you are considering suicide."

"Well, I believe you would reconsider when you see this video."

Arnold Lucas said as he immediately turned on a video hologram player.

And to Melissa's surprise, it was her little daughter Chloe Maxwell, she was tied to a wheelchair and was being humiliated and tortured by Alice Stevens, Melissa's cousin.

Melissa Stevens was taken aback as she stared at the venomous face of her once lovely cousin as she tortured and humiliated her 3-year-old daughter.

Chloe Maxwell screamed, "Help me mom!!!"

Melissa Stevens immediately broke down in tears as the dagger fell off her hand and made a clattering sound on the concrete floor.

Melissa Stevens could take anything but not the tears and torture of her little and only daughter.

Alice Stevens was torturing her little daughter all because of her.

The whole Stevens blames Melissa for being the reason why they are still stuck in the second-class family in Westerville.

Enraged by the whole thing, Melissa immediately picked up the dagger and raced towards Arnold Lucas.

She swiped the blade at Arnold Lucas who was caught off guard but managed to dodge to the left.

Before Melissa could readjust, Arnold Lucas was able to disarm her with a heavy resounding slap.

Taa!!!

"Do you want to kill me?!"

Arnold Lucas immediately bounced on Melissa and held her on her throat as she choked violently.

Violently he shuffled Melissa over to the table as she crashed across the wooden table.

"It's a sad thing that you have been betrayed by your whole family."

"For your information, our family and the Xanderson's are the only family that were invited to this grand wedding."

"Your family planned all this as well to make you pay for humiliating them, plus you are a beautiful lady and almost every man would want you warming their bed."

"Part of all this was my idea."

His voice was laced with venom as he started to remove his trousers slowly.

Melissa Stevens could only but sob as she lay helplessly by the side of the broken table.

Melissa was desperate for her little daughter Chloe Maxwell as she stared at Arnold Lucas walking closer to her with his pants down, she could only but close her eyes.

"This will be over quickly."

Arnold Lucas' voice was laced with venom as he approached her smiling gleefully.

As Arnold Lucas was about to lay his hand on Melissa to grab her, a heavy thud hit the metal door.
