"What are you waiting for anyway?" Maggie asked from the other end of the line.

"I want to come home once I have succeeded in winning a woman's heart, Mom," Ken answered.

"Fine then. Just give her one apartment and one car. You'll definitely be able to get her."

"I don't want to do that, Mom. I want her to accept me in my current situation."

"As an office janitor?" Maggie asked.

"Yes, Mom."

"But that will take a long time, Ken! Ugh... Diamond Group could fall into your uncle's hands."

"Alright. Suit yourself then. But remember, whenever you want, I'll provide a luxury car from various famous brands for you to use," Tony concluded.

"Okay. I'm going now." Ken immediately walked away, leaving Tony, and headed back to his office.

After that, Ken returned to his old routine, mopping floors and being ordered around by other office employees. Sometimes he was asked to photocopy documents, sometimes asked to buy snacks and other things, until the moment Ken had been waiting for arrived, which was office closing time.

Ken had finished his work and chose to wait for Lidya near the main elevator on the ground floor of his office building.

"Lukman," Ken greeted as soon as he saw who was speaking to him.

"Which ones? The time I said Aunt Della is beautiful and I once dreamed about Aunt Della, was that it?"

"No. That was you pouring your heart out yesterday. I meant your words from this morning," Ken answered while still keeping an eye on the elevator door so he wouldn't miss Lidya coming out of that elevator.

"You mean, you're going to confess your feelings to Lidya?"

"Yes. But I mean, not quite confessing my feelings yet. I just want to ask her out on a date first," Ken said with a smile.

"Great. I support you. If you need money, tell me, so we can pray together, because that means we both need money, hahahahah."

Ken could only shake his head hearing Lukman's mostly unserious words. Suddenly, Ken's head shaking stopped when he saw Lidya come out of the elevator.

At that moment, Ken's eyes could not blink at the sight of Lidya's beauty. Lidya's beauty was like a heavenly angel, so much so that Ken forgot to breathe, so mesmerized was he by Lidya.

Ken was so stunned by Lidya that he did not realize when Lidya and her friends had already passed him.

"Hey! Wake up, hey! She's about to leave!" Lukman whispered frantically into Ken's ear.

Hearing Lukman's whisper, Ken immediately snapped out of it and immediately walked quickly to approach Lidya, who as usual was walking with her two friends and staff members, Clara and Yuni.

"Lid... Lidya," Ken greeted from behind.

Lidya turned her body around and immediately smiled when she saw Ken. "What is it, Ken?"

"Um... ahem... may I talk to you?" Ken asked while hoping Clara and Yuni would understand and immediately move away from there. But those two women did not seem understanding at all. They completely did not understand Ken's words and still stood in their places.

Ken looked at Clara and Yuni alternately, but they were still relaxed in their respective spots.

"What do you want to say anyway?" Lidya asked curiously. Her beautiful eyes looked at Ken intently.

"If I may, tonight, I'd like to take you out to dinner," Ken said full of hope while looking into Lidya's beautiful eyes.

Clara and Yuni immediately laughed softly after hearing Ken's words. Both of them felt that Lidya, their friend and superior, would surely reject Ken's request.

"Forgive me, Ken. But I can't," Lidya finally said with a smile toward Ken.

"Hahahaha. Rejected. Hahaha," Yuni immediately burst out laughing very loudly while holding her stomach after hearing Lidya's words.

"Serves you right, doesn't it? Hahaha," Clara chimed in with mocking laughter directed at Ken.

Ken's face immediately fell seeing the two of them laugh. The deliberately loud laughter of Clara and Yuni made a friend of theirs named Billy become interested in joining the crowd. Billy immediately joined in the laughter when he heard what had happened from Clara and Yuni.

"Poor you!!!" Billy said toward Ken, accompanied by mocking laughter from Clara and Yuni directed at Ken.

Seeing that, Ken just smiled thinly and nodded toward Lidya. He hid his disappointment and immediately turned his body to leave Lidya.

"Wait. I meant, tonight I have to go with my mom. But I can go with you tomorrow night," Lidya said from behind.
