Chapter 4: The New Heir

As Robert had said earlier today, Kenneth was brought to Anderson Global Enterprise. Kenneth, who did not expect to be brought to the company so soon, was quite nervous. 

Not only did Kenneth Robert also bring his other grandchildren, but they were not in the same car as Kenneth and Robert. 

Kenneth was still not used to the way people treated him at this time. Even now that someone else opened the car door for Kenneth, he just had to step out without doing anything. 

With confident steps, Kenneth walked, following Robert from behind. As Kenneth stepped inside the company, he could see that there were already some important people waiting for them. 

"Welcome, chairman. We were surprised to hear that you wanted to have a board meeting today."

"Have you decided who will be your heir?" 

"You will find out later," Robert said with a chuckle. He still did not want to tell the purpose of holding an emergency meeting with the company's board and shareholders. 

While Kenneth, who walked behind, could only listen to Robert's words with the other grandchildren, he also turned to Ivonne, who walked beside him. 

"Our visit this time is not an ordinary visit?" Kenneth whispered softly to Ivonne. 

"I also just found out that Grandpa wants to hold an emergency meeting. No wonder he invited us since we are also one of the shareholders," Ivonne explained while rubbing her chin in thought. 

Then, Kenneth was startled when he felt someone embrace him from behind; when he turned his head, he could see that it was Tyler. 

"It's great that you've come to riot in the company," Tyler said with a smirk on his face. 

"Is this a bad thing?" Actually, Kenneth already knew that Robert intended to declare that he would be the heir; it was just that Kenneth needed to play dumb for now because it was still a secret. 

"Don't listen to him,. Sooner or later this meeting will indeed be held." This time, Stuart spoke in a cold voice. 

"Thank goodness then," Kenneth replied as he let out a sigh of relief when he heard that. 

Jack was the only one who remained silent and had no intention of mingling with Kenneth and the others. From the beginning, Kenneth felt that Jack did not like him and that his relationship with the others was not very good either. 

It seemed that because he stared at Jack for too long, the others began to realize it. 

"Don't mind him. Jack is difficult to approach," Tyler said in a low voice, not wanting Jack to hear his voice. 

Kenneth just nodded his head vaguely, not intending to ask further about Jack, who had given off that unfriendly aura. 

During the trip, Kenneth could see people passing around the lobby and staring at their group; he hoped he wouldn't see Ramona or Ethan there. 

One thing Kenneth was afraid of when he set foot into this company he was that he would meet Ramona or Ethan there; he didn't want to remember those dark times in his life again. 

Finally, their group boarded a V.V.I.P. elevator that was prepared for company officials. Kenneth did not know what floor he was taken to, but he could guess that they were heading to the top floor of the company. 

Before entering the conference room that would be used as the meeting place that day, Robert held Kenneth and said that he had something to tell him. 

"I'm going to make an announcement about it today, I hope you're ready," Robert said with a serious look on his face. 

"Isn't it too soon? I'm sure the board and shareholders won't agree with your decision," Kenneth replied, feeling quite worried. 

"That's why I did it,. Iwanted to see what they would do this time." Slowly, Robert's face turned colder. 

Even Kenneth could feel the aura around his grandfather beginning to change. It seemed he intended to find clues about the traitor today. 

"Well, if that's what you plan to do," Kenneth replied while nodding his head in understanding of Robert's intentions. 

Robert patted Kenneth's shoulder lightly before stepping away from Kenneth and walking into the conference room. 

Before following Robert's steps, Kenneth took a breath to calm himself down. 

Then, when Kenneth decided to turn around, unfortunately, his steps were too hasty, and he bumped into someone while going out of the hallway where he was. 

"Oh my! I'm sorry," Kenneth said as he extended his hand to help the beautiful woman who had fallen because of him. 

"No problem, it's my fault for walking in a hurry," replied Selena, the woman Kenneth had hit. 

"I hope you're okay, I have to go soon, once again I'm sorry." Before leaving Kenneth apologized again, then quickly left there because he had to get into the conference room immediately. 

After Kenneth left, Selena saw him go, and a smile appeared on her face, "Isn't he the person Grandpa meant?" 

Kenneth immediately looked for the person he knew. Fortunately, Ivonne was kind enough to call him and tell him to sit beside her. 

"Luckily I saw you, otherwise I wouldn't have known where to sit," Kenneth said gratefully when he saw Ivonne. 

"Where have you been? The meeting is about to start," Ivonne replied as she looked at Kenneth with a curious gaze. 

"There was a little trouble outside." Kenneth grinned and tried to divert their conversation. 

Ivonne and Kenneth talked for a while, they only stopped when the meeting started. Kenneth's heart started beating fast when it was time for Robert to speak. 

"I gathered you all here because I want to announce who will be my heir." Robert finally opened his voice. 

Everyone in the room began to whisper when they heard Robert's words. 

"I recently found the son of my eldest son Keith, he is my grandson, Kenneth. Since I have found him, then I will make him my heir," Robert continued, which immediately surprised everyone with his decision. 

Immediately, there were many people who did not accept Robert's decision. The pressure that fell on Kenneth became very heavy, he could feel everyone staring at him with scornful gazes, his breathing began to get heavy because of that. 

Many people doubted Kenneth and asked to see his feasibility before appointing him as the heir. 

Finally, Kenneth could not stand the pressure directed at him, so he got up from his position, "I want to go to the toilet first," said Kenneth, immediately rushing out of the room. 

Kenneth's mind was quite chaotic at this time because he did not expect the pressure directed at him to be this severe. He could feel nausea in his stomach at this time. 

As Kenneth was running towards the toilet once again he bumped into someone, but this time he recognized who the person was.

"Damn it! Why is an asshole like you here? Are you stalking me?!" Ramona immediately exploded in anger when she realized that the person who bumped into her was Kenneth. 

"Ramona!" Even Kenneth did not expect to meet Ramona here.

Ramona angrily walked towards Kenneth and pushed him while hitting the wall behind him, "I told you that I don't want to see you again. How dare a lowlife like you stalk me here!" 

Ramona started to throw her hands at Kenneth, intending to teach him a lesson for daring to stalk her like this.
