Liam bursted into a boisterous laughter, it was so loud that they were wondering if he had gone insane.

"Why is he laughing like that"

"Does this look like a joke to him?"

"I have always known this guy is not mentally stable"

The crowd passed comments among themselves.

"I asked you to sign these divorce papers and not to laugh," Riley reminded with gritted teeth. "He knows how to make a mockery of things" she thought while rolling her eyes.

"What if I refuse to sign it, what will you do?" He asked with a serious expression, and a firm tone.

She chuckled. "I was thinking I will give you some money since you are jobless, lazy and poor, but if you refuse, I will stop giving you money, send you out of my house and stop giving you food. Don't you think being stubborn about signing this will cost you a lot?." She stated confidently, walked down the podium and gave him the papers.

"Don't make things worse for yourself by refusing it." She concluded, smiling at him.

"She is just like all the girls I have met, no difference at all. I won't let the three years slide off easily, never." He thought and sighed out.

"I'm not signing this paper because of your threats, I'm signing it in front of everybody as witnesses that you sent off your goodness." He spoke loudly, the hall was silent for a few seconds. He took the pen and signed on the divorce papers.

"Mark my words Riley Williams, you will regret your decision, but you won't be able to retrace your steps by then." He gave out his final words and walked out heartbroken.

"Why is he suddenly so arrogant? He spoke with sincerity and confidence. Have I done wrong by doing this?."

"I am so proud of you, my daughter." Evelyn pulled her into a hug as soon as she saw her watching him leave.

"She finally did as planned, the stupid son in law is out of our lives forever, I am super excited. Now, suitors with wealthy backgrounds will start seeking her for marriage."

"This cause for celebration, let's cheer for a new age, wealth, promotion and sound health." Nick shouted, everybody raised their glasses in unison and cheered.

Liam punched the vase on the table, it fell to the ground, it shattered and the glasses scattered all over the place.

"Arrrrrrgggghhh." He screamed, punching his fist against the TV set which broke immediately.

"Hey, what's happening?" A deep masculine voice questioned on seeing him displaying his anger. "Who got you this angry?." He asked, on approaching the scene by now Liam's eyes were reddened, his veins were visible and his face was pale.

"Dad...After three years of being in that marriage Riley has never seen reasons to be with me. Do you know what she did tonight? She requested for a divorce in front of everybody, and yes I signed it because I have had enough, I just need to sink in within me that Riley is a person I should hate and not love, then I will be fine." He explained, it felt as if a burden was lifted off his shoulder after letting out his feelings.

"I'm sorry all that happened to you, I think it's time you reveal your identity as the top one business man who controls his family business which is also in the top one. You will withdraw all your support from them and see whether they won't ask for mercy." Bowen spoke with so much authority and boldness, he felt for his son and pulled him into a hug.

He felt even better, after a few minutes they disengaged. "I truly miss your heartfelt hug, it always has a way of calming me down. Thank you Dad."

Bowen nodded his head. "I know my first son is stubborn, heartless for leaving everything behind to run after a lady, and I can't push him away when he is not alright" he spoke jokingly, they gave out a soft laughter.

"I'm sorry about that, but I truly miss you, trust me I always have you in mind because you are the best father in the whole wide world" he praised, and hugged him briefly.

"Trying to bribe me with sweet talks? Well, it won't work now, tidy up this place and make sure they are replaced before noon tomorrow." He instructed firmly and left the room.

One of the rules that has been in existence for a very long time is that whenever you make a mess, you clean it up yourself no matter your status in the family. This has helped them a lot, especially Liam.

He was on his way to get the cleaning materials when a sound came out from his phone, he brought it out and checked it.

"An annual business conference needs to take place this friday, we are the one hosting it this year again, since you are back now I would want us to meet and plan for the occasion." He read out. Okay, meet me in the mansion tomorrow by 2 : 00pm. He typed it out and sent it.

Some messages popped up again. They were pictures sent by Riley.

"Enjoying my night as a divorcee, it feels so good to be a free bird. Enjoy your miserable life" he read out and chuckled, he was about shoving his phone back into his pocket, he checked the pictures again.

"How come she is dating Matt when he is not even in the city, I would be the first person he would inform if he is truly back . Is she dating an imposter?. I really need to warn her before he tries to harm her." He spoke to himself and hurried to get the cleaning materials.
