He adjusted a bit, to get a glance of the person standing before him and before he could see anything, a man bowed his head downward before him. The man was as young as him.

“Young master, we have been looking for you.” The man said.

Alex was surprised by the man's attitude and he abruptly stepped back, while looking at the man.

“Who are you?” He asked curiously.

Alex was trying to know who he wasn't and to be sure the man had not mistaken him for someone else.

“Young master, my name is Andrew Cooper, I'm your Grandfather's senior butler.”

“ My Grandfather,” Alex asked as he laughed out loud.

He was engrossed with several conflicting thoughts, he was still wondering if the man standing in front of him knew what he was saying. He didn't have parents and even the people who adopted him at the orphanage returned him after a few weeks because of his quietness and his unwillingness to cooperate at their homes.

He thought maybe one of his adopted family had remembered him. He was trying to say something when Andrew caught him off guard with his words.

“You are Alex Davis, The Grandson of Mr. John Davis.” Andrew blurted.

Alex's eyes widened in shock, he was surprised at how Andrew knew his name but was not sure, so he said calmly “My name is Alex Davis yes but I guess you mistaken me for someone else.”

“Young master, your Grandfather would like to see you, he will explain better when you see him,” Andrew said as he winked at the other guards to open the back door for him.

Alex refused to go with them, what if they had been sent by the Williams family to kidnap me, what if they wanted to kill me? What if they are Henry Walker's men and he ordered them to bring him to a designated location for him to be tortured? His mind was wallowing in thought. Andrew understood the expression on Alex's face.

He called his name “ Young Master, Alex.” Alex was brought out of his thinking process. “You have nothing to be scared of, Your grandfather is a well-known man in Rochester and we are not here to harm you but to help you.”

After hesitation for a few moments, Alex hummed and entered the Rolls-Royce. He watched as the men in black suits bowed at him as he walked toward the entrance of the car, they parted the door wide for him to enter.

The chauffeur started the car engine and it immediately drove off to the biggest estate in the city of Rochester, Alex's mind still playing tricks with him. His mind was engulfed with different thoughts, he leaned back in the car chair and his chauffeur stared at him from the rearview mirror.

They Finally arrived at the expected destination, the car stopped in front of the house entrance. Alex watched from the car-tinted glass and stared at the well-tiled house and it was designed like heaven made on earth. He had never seen anything like this in his life. It was just like those houses he used to see on television while at the orphanage or anytime he was allowed to watch the television at the Williams mansion.

He didn't notice when the door opened, he stared at Andrew who smirked at him. And he came down from the car. His mouth dropped in awe, he noticed how the guards and servants were all staring at him; he then composed himself to avoid being disgraced.

Andrew took him inside and as they were walking, all the servants bowed and greeted him with their heads bowed downward.

Just then a man in his 70s came close to them, and Andrew bowed his head and greeted him. Alex also bowed his head, Mr. John Davis, being his grandfather, came closer, took his head up and engulfed him with an emotional hug.

Alex looked surprised at the old man and how he hugged him. The last time he was hugged so passionately like this was when he was at the orphanage and when he started his love affair with Claire.

Mr. John pulled him out a bit and hugged him again as tears began to roll down his cheeks, he never believed he would see his grandson Alex again. He had been looking for Alex since the death of his parents and he had searched every city and every hole but to no avail. He had spent a lot of money but had no idea his grandson was close to him in Rochester.

He finally let go as he walked Alex to a couch close to them, Alex noticed the tears on the old man's face. Mr. John took a handkerchief from Andrew and wept the tears from his wet eyes.

Alex's mind was still questioned, he had wanted to know what happened to his parents and why he grew up in the orphanage if truly the old man standing next to him was his grandfather.

“Alex, My son, I have searched the entire city and beyond for you after the death of your parents. I was surprised when the doctor sent us a report saying he had found my grandson.”

“Which doctor?” Alex asked.

“Dr, Michael from the central care Hospital, called me to inform me that the Blood DNA matches that of my late son,” Mr. John took the hospital report and handed it over to Alex who was still curious “so I ordered my men to go check it out and it was confirmed to be true but when they got there they were told you left the hospital,” he said in between sobbing.

Alex's eyes were still fixed on the report and his eyes welled up in tears but he held it, “what happened to my parents, he asked.”

“Your parents died in a car accident on the day of your birthday, when you were all returning after the birthday celebrations” Mr. John said.

Son, you need to freshen up and have a meal. I can see you are tired and hungry. He ordered his servant to show Alex his room.

“When you are through, I will be waiting for you at the dining table,” Mr John said calmly.

Alex was taken to his room to freshen up, whilst Mr. John ordered his butler to bring the document for his grandson to sign.

After a few minutes, Alex came down and sat at the big polished mahogany dining table. It was filled with varieties of food. He noticed how his servants were all standing waiting for their orders. He pleaded with his grandfather to allow his maid to have a meal with them.

Mr. John was short of words and he couldn't decline his grandson's decision so he ordered the servants to come and join them. It was also part of a way of welcoming him back home. The servants were all happy and thanked their young master for his generosity towards them.

After the meal, Mr. John and Alex walked to the garden and they both sat opposite each other, Andrew stood behind Mr John holding what seemed like a document.

Mr. John winked at him and he came close placing the documents on the table in between them. Alex's gaze was on the document as he wondered what it was.

“Alex, This document is some secret documents that only the heir of the Davis family should see. It was handed to me by my late father, and I handed it over to your father Jonathan, but since he is not here I will be handing it over to you myself. It contains the list of companies we own and the amount each company generates.”

Alex opened the file as he skimmed through the pages, his heart raced faster when he saw the figures and the names of some of the top companies he had heard about.

“You will have to sign here, as the company will be handed over to you now, I'm too old and I can't manage all this and as the heir you will be in charge of the companies.”

Alex was confused, he drummed his finger on the table trying to wake himself up from his dream but it was not a dream but reality. His hands were sweating copiously and he managed to sign the documents before him.

“But Grandpa I didn't know anything about the company and how they operate,” Alex said.

‘You have nothing to worry about, I am here to guide you. I will take you to one of our companies tomorrow and introduce you to our staff. You need to rest, you have a long day tomorrow son. Mr. John said, standing up and heading into the living room.

Alex was still sitting there as he gazed at Andrew who smiled at him.

He took a deep breath and said, “I would like you to visit the central care hospital and check after a girl called Naomi Williams. I want to know if she is fine and I would also like to visit her.”

“Okay, young master,” Andrew responded as he walked out of Alex's sight.
