Crash!"

A loud sound resounded throughout the place and everyone turned their head toward the sounds.

"Oops, my bad." A young man dressed rather shabbily said as he hurriedly looked and went to get some cleaning equipment to clean up the mess.

The Young man was Alex, and he was a waiter here at the bar. Just now, an arrogant customer suddenly withdrew her outstretched hands just as he was about to give her the bottle of wine because she changed her mind.

Alex, who had thought that the woman had collected the wine from him, left the bottle and the next thing he heard was the loud crashing sound as the wine fell to the ground splashing everywhere.

He could only keep his head bowed as he hurriedly went to get the cleaning materials. There was a high-end bar and the customers were all very rich. If he mistakenly offended one of them just because of what happened, he wouldn't know how he died.

Besides, this was not the first time he had experienced this. Everyone seemed to look down on him, but then he couldn't care less and had been enduring the humiliation for the past three years.

"Alex, do you know how much the wine you just broke right now is worth?" An angry yell came just as he was cleaning the floor

Alex raised his head slightly to look at the approaching figure. It was the Head waiter, a fat chubby man who always loved to pick on him.

"I'll be holding back two months of your salary, as that's the cost of the wine bottle you just broke." The man puffed angrily.

Alex shook his head as he looked at the man, there was no need to say anything, this was not the first time he had done this, so he was not too surprised. There was a time when he had even withheld his salary for six months claiming he had broken a very expensive wine bottle..

"I see, you have the guts to ignore me," The man fumed seeing the way Alex was staring at him.

"I'll make sure to report you to the manager, and this time I'll make sure you lose your job." He snorted as he walked away in fury.

He didn't know what the manager saw in Alex and no matter how much he tried, the manager refused to fire Alex. Though the manager didn't interfere in the other things he did to Alex, he didn't agree to fire him which left him angry.

Alex shook his head as he looked at the man walking away. He had been facing this ridicule for the past three years so this was not new to him. Besides, many people had ridiculed and disrespected him because of his appearance.

Shaking his head, Alex concentrated on the cleaning, and in no time he was done. Right after he was done, he pulled a chair and sat as he relaxed rather lazily.

It was already late into the night, and he was going to have to work till the next morning. Besides, it was time for his shift so he was doing nothing at the moment.

"Alex, come over here!" An angry roar came just as Alex was about to close his eyes.

Soon, the head waiter appeared in front once again as he looked at him.

"The guests in room 15 need some drinks, you go deliver it to them." The head waiter grinned as he pointed at a service cart right behind him.

"But this period is for my shift, I'm not supposed to work. Others can deliver it." Alex said with displeasure

"You dare go against my order!" The head waiter flew into a rage almost immediately as he glared at Alex, his eyes spitting fire.

"You deliver this service cart to room 15 or you lose another six months of your salary." The head waiter raged.

"Fine," Alex muttered under his breath as he walked towards the service cart unwillingly.

He didn't want to lose six months of his salary. He had already lost two months, it would be heart-wrenching if he lost another six months. Besides, he knew that the head waiter was going to carry out his threat which was why he agreed.

Alex sighed, pushed the service cart, and walked toward room 15. In a flash, he was already in room 15. At the moment, Alex's expression was rather strange as he could hear moans coming out from the room.

What the hell was happening? Why would the head waiter send him to such a place? Well, it was none of his business, he was going to deliver what he was asked to and leave right away.

He could care less if they were having an orgy party. They were all sets of shameless people anyway, so he couldn't care less about anything that happened in the room.

Thinking like this, Alex pushed all thoughts to the back of his mind and walked into the room. Whatever he was was going to end there.

He wasn't someone who liked to gossip. Besides, the others seemed to keep some distance away from him, so he didn't have any friends here at the bar.

"Yeah, faster..."

"Go faster, it's not enough.."

"Yeah, baby,"

"Huh?"

Alex froze as a series of mains drifted into his ears. No, Alex wasn't concerned about the moans, but rather the vice that was moaning.

Wasn't that his wife, Ella? There was no way he could mistake his wife's voice for another woman. Besides, what was she doing at the bar? No, what was she doing in room 15?

The room where an orgy party was going on. Could it be that she was also here to partake in the party? He just couldn't understand a thing as his heart began to race.

Like a robot, Alex turned around to look toward where the moan was coming from hoping he heard wrong.

But then reality was harsh as what Alex saw next directly shattered his soul.

With the mechanical accuracy that came from weeks of pretending he cared and years of not caring, Alex adjusted his cufflinks. In a room full of individuals who were all trying to make an impression, his well-fitting, understated navy suit was completely forgettable. That was a power move in and of itself. As they got closer to the Parker Foundation Annual Charity Auction door, Isaac, dressed like the most unobtrusive piece of furniture in the world, handed him a black folder."Are you certain about this?" Isaac muttered as he looked over the sandstone stairs that led to the structure. "You had the option of sending someone else to keep an eye on the room."Alex looked up at the big hall, which was owned by Parker, had been painstakingly restored, and was adorned with banners promoting "Urban Renewal through Private Partnership." The irony was so profound that it was worthy of a museum display.Alex said, "I'm not here to watch. My purpose is to rattle bones." Isaac grinned as he gave

That afternoon, the sun dared to be happy. Under well-kept lawns and glass balconies, Orange City's upper section, especially the 5 families have been invited to a party marking the 60th birthday of Mr. Simon. Perched atop a verdant hill, the Simon residence resembled a boutique hotel rather than a home. high arches. broad driveways. The guests all parked themselves, but there were uniformed valets. Soft jazz murmured through the open windows within. The back garden was covered with a big buffet table filled with expensive foods, including tiny crab cakes, some indistinguishable mousse in glass spoons, and skewers that looked more ornamental than actually been edible. Plate in hand, Alex watched the gathering with mild interest as he leaned against a pillar next to the open French doors. He was dressed in pants that were a tad too casual for the event and a simple white button-up shirt. Although his loafers were polished, it didn't take away from the reality that he didn't fit in

He got up and moved nonchalantly to the whiteboard near the far wall as Danica excused herself to get brochures. A basic outline of a restructuring plan had been put up, complete with names, dates, and most importantly the move of monies from "G.L. Ops" to "Council Rep Fund."Greenline once more.Pretending to

Alex had almost forgotten about Logan the next day as he was busy preparing to visit one of the 5 families' company, but just as he remembered he tried to get information from people he knew could have access to it, and it turns out the reason the engagement broke was because Logan was trying to launder money using Amara’s father company and it all became messy but they tried their best to keep it from the media and the public in general, On seeing this, he could now understand why her reaction were cold when they met “well this can wait for later” he said as he message Isaac to meet him at the parking so they can be on there way to the meeting. When someone smiled too broadly that early in the morning without a reason in particular, Alex never trusted them.
