Lucas, unfazed by the severe rejection, insisted, "I understand if you're offended, but I need to locate my family. Please, just tell me where they are, and I'll be out of your way."

Mrs. Groot's fury increased, and she gestured towards the gate. "I won't repeat myself. Leave immediately!"

Refusing to submit, Lucas set his feet firmly. "I can't simply walk away without knowing where they are. Please, have some sympathy, mother."

"Don't you dare call me that! I'm not your mother!" Mrs Groot screamed.

Mrs. Groot's eyes furrowed, and with a dismissive sweep of her hand, she turned to the gatekeeper. "Carlos, release the dogs. Get this crazy man off my property."

Fear grabbed Lucas as he begged one final time, "Please, please tell me where I can locate them. I'll leave immediately."

Mrs. Groot, undeterred by his appeal, coldly said, "You should have thought about it before you wrecked our lives. Carlos, do it immediately!"

Reluctantly, the gatekeeper, Carlos, stepped towards the gate, a feeling of obligation in his eyes. The distant barking of dogs rang from inside the property, increasing louder as they neared.

Panicking, Lucas eventually took a step back, understanding the hopelessness of his plea. He looked between Mrs. Groot and the oncoming gatekeeper, the reality of being forced out by dogs setting him.

In the middle of the heated conversation at the gate, the air was unexpectedly broken by the purr of a strong engine. A sleek, elegant car glides into view, its glossy exterior glistening beneath the sunshine. The car, a symbol of riches and luxury, came to a stop in front of the magnificent entryway.

The door of the car flew open, and a guy came out, oozing an air of entitlement. Dressed in finely fitted clothing, he studied the scene with a look that bordered on impatience. "Carlos, what took you so long to unlock the gate? I shouldn't be kept waiting like this," he yelled, his voice filled with displeasure.

Carlos, the gatekeeper, raced to apologize, "I'm sorry, Mr. Joel. This guy here didn't want to leave,, and I had to deal with him."

The guy, Joel, shot a scornful glare at Lucas, who stood a few yards away. "What's this? Another one of those beggars seeking for a handout?" he snarled, his tone dripping with contempt.

Mrs. Groot, visibly thrilled by Joel's appearance, came closer, her expression morphing into a grin. "Joel, sweetie, you're arrived just in time. Look what the cat dragged in. Can you believe the audacity?"

Joel's eyes narrowed as he looked Lucas up and down, a combination of mistrust and hatred on his face. "Lucas, huh? What brings you back here? Trying to leech off what's left of this family, are you?" he sneered, not attempting to mask his scorn.

"What are you doing here, Lucas?" Joel hissed, his eyes narrowing with disdain. "You're nothing but a pointless burden. We don't need a criminal like you associating with our family."

Lucas, already hurt by the rejection he encountered, stood there, absorbing the insults. Joel's remarks were a continuous onslaught, targeting not only his presence but the very basis of his personality. The weight of his history, the stigma of being considered a criminal, seemed to hang heavily in the air.

"You think you can just stroll back in here after all these years?" Joel continued, his tone tinged with arrogance. "You're insane if you feel you have any place in this family. Tonia was wise to leave you behind."

"What do you mean leave me behind?" Lucas asked.

Mrs. Groot, standing alongside Joel, nodded approvingly, her countenance showing a perverse sense of delight. The mother and son shared a kinship of hate for the guy who had previously been a part of their life.

Lucas, his spirit wounded but not shattered, sought to produce a rejoinder. "I simply want to find Tonia and my kid. I need to know whether they're alright."

Joel, unyielding, sneered at the plea. "Your family moved on, Lucas. They don't need you. And honestly, neither do we."

Fueled by frustration and a desire to get Lucas off the premises, Mrs. Groot turned to Carlos with an irritated demand, "Carlos, unleash the dogs. We can't have this idiot interrupting our peace any longer."

Carlos, mindful of how dangerous things would be, paused for a minute, staring at Lucas. With a hesitant nod, he proceeded to unlock the kennel, unleashing two strong guard dogs known for their craziness.

As the door of the kennel gate opened, terror rippled among the people who had gathered at a safe distance, spying on what was happening. The reputation of the dogs, their ferocity spoken in hushed discussions, sent chills down the spines of those who knew what was about to happen.

Realizing the oncoming danger, many fled, escaping to the safety of their homes. Doors were shut, windows were swiftly shuttered, and the once-curious passersby and neighbors sought safety from the unleashed power of the guard dogs.

Even Mrs. Groot, despite giving the instruction, wasn't spared from the anxiety. In a sudden flash of clarity, she anxiously looked around the environment for a safe spot to stand. Panic engraved over her face, she hastily withdrew to a hidden area, watching from a distance as the drama she had begun unfolded.

The guard dogs, their instincts trained for such occasions, leapt forward, jaws bared and growls reverberating. With a ferocious resolve, they closed in on Lucas.

As the dogs approached, the atmosphere was packed with tension, the scenario was like a movie scene. Lucas, caught in the crosshairs of scorn and unleashed monsters, prepared himself for the coming conflict, unaware of what was going to happen to him in the paws of the cruel guard dogs.

In a stunning turn of events, when the guard dogs neared Lucas, their mood changed immediately. The previously crazy dogs stopped suddenly and, to the shock of everyone there, they stopped just a few meters away from Lucas.

The air, dense with tension, suddenly changed when the dogs demonstrated an unexpected action. Instead of tearing Lucas apart, they bent their heads in a respectful fashion, their tails bobbing nervously. It was as if an unseen force had turned their ferocious behavior into something else

To the amazement of Mrs. Groot, Joel, and the bystanders who had carefully peered out from their hiding spots, the guard dogs, known for their brutal behavior, appeared to have chosen a different course of action.

Lucas, still confused at what just happened, carefully stretched his hand toward one of the dogs. To everyone's astonishment, the dogs not only tolerated the approach but rolled onto its back, revealing its belly in a show of trust.

The second dog repeated the same behavior, their change from aggressive protectors to meek friends left everyone in shocked silence.

Mrs. Groot, who had found a hiding place some distance away, watched in bewilderment as the dogs designed to drive Lucas away suddenly laid at his feet, asking him to rub their bellies and pet them. .

Joel, bewildered and confused, could only look at what was unfolding before him.

The quick shift in the dogs behavior gave an unexpected twist to the already tense environment. As Lucas tentatively caressed their bellies, a feeling of shock remained in the air, throwing a dreamlike veil over the crazy events that had just taken place.
