They both remained very motionless, giving the impression that the fight had already begun in both of their minds the instant it began in the real world.

They were both getting ready to take the next step up, and Johns, the young man whom Luke desired to have, was watching them do so from below.

Anyone would think that the fight would be over in a single move, but taking into account the level of skill displayed by these individuals, it was exceedingly doubtful that this would actually take place.
