Chapter Thirty Five

Desperately needing something sturdy to hold on to, Cassie reached out her trembling hand and gripped the nearby wall. The coolness of the surface offered a brief respite, grounding her in the midst of the chaotic scene. Her head spun with a mixture of alcohol and emotions, the intoxicating effects and the weight of her current situation vying for control.

“Fuck!” she muttered as she tried to stable her stance.

“Why is everything going against me today!” she muttered as she squeezed her eyes shut.

Arnold watched her from a distance, a smirk dancing on his face. He glanced at his phone occasionally, watching a video Mason had sent him. Disgust etched across his features, he couldn't hide his disdain. He knew everything was finally working in his favor and the favor Cassie had in the hands of his grandfather would all change soon, he would see how worthless Cassie was, and she will be disgraced in the presence of everyone.
