Archibald strode calmly toward Prescott and Manager Chen who were crumpled on the floor.

His gaze swept over them with an expression masked with disappointment.

"I must say, I'm disappointed in you two," Archibald said, sliding a hand in his pocket. "Where did you summon the audacity to insult the heir of the Higgins family?"

Prescott’s hands trembled as he struggled to push himself up from the floor.

His legs wobbled beneath him, and his face was pale, like a ghost.

"I—I don’t understand," he stammered. "The Higgins family never announced any heirs! Reeds is a nobody. How can you bow to him? How can you call him 'young master'? This doesn't make any sense to me!"

Archibald’s gaze hardened.

"Why do I show reverence to Reeds?" he paused as he gestured his free hand to Reeds. "Reeds is the true and only heir to the Higgins family. His identity was kept secret for his protection. But make no mistake—his bloodline is absolute."

    Reeds regarded the two men, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He stood tall, folding his arms behind his back."Laugh all you want, Prescott," Reeds said, his voice low and venomous.     Shawn didn't say anything. He nodded to his men. One of Shawn's female guards, stepped forward and offered to carry Karyl. Reeds didn't protest.     Reeds carried Karyl down the elevator, his face heavy. He's had enough for one day. Of all the worse things he expected, Karyl being drugged was the final straw. Her breathing had grown shallow. Whatever substance Zayn had forced into her system, it was slowly draining her life. If she doesn't get medical attention immediately, there's no telling what might happen to her. As the elevator doors slide open, Reeds stepped out with Karyl lying half conscious in his arms. Shawn and his team were waiting quietly for him. Reeds saw several of the hotel's security guards laying on the floor like broken dolls. They moaned and groaned, rolling around in pains.
