Chapter 05 - Julia von Rozental

"Uggh!!"

Eren woke up holding his head as a sharp pain was still lingering in his forehead.

"Where am I?"

He slowly got up from the bed he was laying on, looking around himself.

A huge room with a luxurious bed, on top of which he was lying. The same old room that he remembered, which was uselessly rich and lavish! Be it the tea table near the window or the matrix on the floor, everything looked luxurious.

The cleanroom which was free of even a speck of dust was painted in a white and golden combination giving it a gleam of royal characteristics.

But Eren's face paled seeing his surroundings and Beads of sweat started to form on his face for a different matter than when he felt it in the past.

This place...It was his own room!! 

"Why am I here again?"

He said, desperately trying to get out of bed.

tap!tap!tap!

But before he could get out of bed, he heard the hurried steps of someone coming near his room!

Just from the footsteps, he knew who it was, his anxiety-filled face became relaxed hearing the footsteps.

He looked towards the lavish door, which was soon flung open.

A beautiful young lady who looked to be just at the tender age of 20s entered the room with a worried face.

She had beautiful red hair with a small long hairline, her eyes glowing like blue gems, an alluring body with perfect proportions, and sharp canine teeth.

Her beauty just seemed out of this world, just seeing her face made Eren forget about his worries.

The red-haired beauty came running towards him, hugging him tightly in her embrace.

Sob..!sob…

He could hear her sobbing and feel his chest getting wet from her tears.

He remembered! He remembered what happened! He remembered why he was in the bed!

Seeing the beauty shedding tears, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He blamed himself for making her cry.

He didn't say anything, he hugged her and just let her cry to her heart's content.

Was it after ten minutes? He didn't know, it felt like time just flew by with her in his embrace.

"I am sorry"

He said in a low voice. He truly felt sorry for making her worry for him. He was ashamed of himself that he even thought of leaving such an innocent and loving lover alone.

"I am sorry, Julia!"

He was trying hard to hold in his tears, he didn't want to show his weakness in front of his lover even though she was stronger than him.

thud!

He felt a light push on his chest!

"You dummy"

He looked at the blue-eyed beauty who was staring at him!

"You should have told me if it was difficult for you"

Her eyes had turned red from crying so much and her face was pale. Just from her appearance alone, he could tell how worried she was about him.

"I am sorry"

He just didn't have the confidence to even look in her eyes after what he did! All he could do was just ask for her forgiveness.

"I have talked with my father!"

She said, turning her head away.

Shoot!

Eren remembered another thing he had forgotten.

The Letter!!

Before going to the dungeon, he had written a letter in hopes of delivering his last message to Julia!

‘Damn! Did she read it? It’s so embarrassing!’

He was so sure that he would vainly die in the dungeon that he included something which wasn’t even required there.

He even wrote something like… ‘I will always love you, my dear, even in death.

Now that he thought about it, it was too cringe!

Eren wanted to bury his head in the ground due to the embarrassment.

‘I can’t even look at her face now, god damn stupid me.’

He blamed himself!!

It was likely that Julia who read that letter thought that Eren wasn’t comfortable here and had some talk with her father!

"We will soon leave for th.."

"Julia!"

She wanted to say something to him but she was caught off guard by two hands that held her shoulders!

Now that he had made a mistake it was time for him to correct it himself, he had awakened only now, he finally had a ray of hope for coming out of all the humiliation, he couldn’t possibly ruin it by getting on the bad side of his father-in-law now, can he?

She stared at her lover who became serious all of a sudden!

"I will not run away, ever again!"

His voice contained resolution as he said that to her!

Julia blushed slightly seeing him act all confident like a prince from one of the stories she read.

"What are you saying to all of su..!"

"I will protect you from now on!"

She doubted her ears for a second!

Why is he saying these embarrassing things all of sudden? but then again she thought about it and looked seriously into his eyes!

More than that, she was an awakener who was ranked 97th by the World Awakener Ranking (WAR) and one of the few A-rank awakeners in the country! 

For her lover, who was not even awakened and was innately weak, to say that he will protect her, She doubted that her lover would say it without any thought!

She looked into his eyes, she didn’t say anything but Eren understood what she was thinking!

He said as a sweet smile appeared on his face.

He bought her face near his chest, embracing her closer as he said,

“I Awakened!’

It was time for him to act like a proper man.
