Chapter Twelve: The Wrong Roommate

Back in the university,

Elise stood across her hostel hallway, exhausted. Unlike what normally happens, she had managed to stir her mother away from the idea of getting her a well guarded apartment in a gated community.

Even though she was wild and spoilt with her dad, with her mom, she had to be careful about anything she wanted to do.

It was always like living in her shadows.

Elise had goals of her own. She wanted a shot at the world on her own.

While living in an apartment had been an idea in her mind for quite some time, she didn't want it to be powered by her mother. If she had accepted the offer then the woman would never have stopped making her life miserable.

She put her papers on top of the glass table and slumped onto the large leather coach at the corner of the room. The hostel was top-tier.

She selected one that met her standards. Not just her standards, her mother’s standards too as it was the best and most expensive one in the school.
