Chapter 041 - Vacation House

Rohan walks into the bedroom, feeling a mixture of emotions. This time, he finds Rosalyn in the middle of their room. He scowls at her, especially how her arms are stretched out to him in an oddly welcoming stance.

“What are you doing?” he asks.

She grins as if forgetting their fight just the night before. “Do you notice something different?” she asks.

He looks her over. She wears a black silk dress, like the one she wears during their honeymoon. Her hair is pulled back into a messy bun, like the morning of their fake wedding night.

Rohan cautiously crosses the room. Her face is unreadable, and he has no idea what she is thinking this time.

“Hansel,” she calls again. “Come here, please?”

And so Rohan moves closer to her. She grins and hugs him. They stay like it for a while before she pulls back and says, “I have something for you.”

She pulls a trunk from the other side of the bed and taps the top of it.

“These are all for you.”

“What is that?” he asks, his gaze shifting to the trunk.
