"I came here for dinner with my husband. What about you?"

Daisy exclaimed in feigned surprise, "Wow, what a coincidence!

My husband and I are also here for dinner!"

After speaking, she pretended to be curious and asked again, "By the way, which type of reservation did you get?

A standard private room, a premium private room, or a luxury private room?"

Mia was confused about Allen's arrangements and could only reply truthfully, "I'm not sure. My husband made the reservation."

Only then did Daisy notice Allen's presence.

She covered her mouth with a laugh and said, "So this is your live-in son-in-law Allen, right?

He was quite famous as a poor guy in school back then!"

The sneer hidden in her words was particularly harsh.

Mia looked thoroughly embarrassed.

Daisy suddenly realized her mistake and quickly apologized, "Oops, sorry!

I'm too straightforward. Mia, please don't take it to heart..."

Allen furrowed his brow slightly. This Daisy seemed to have ill intentions!

Ignoring Mia's discomfort, Daisy proudly pulled the man beside her over.

She announced, "Let me introduce you to my husband, Slater Lin!"

Then she boasted, "He's the eldest son of the Davithea family in Pras City, and the heir to Davithea's hundreds of millions in family assets!"

Mia nodded politely.

Alan's expression turned somewhat gloomy.

He had brought his wife here to celebrate their wedding anniversary, only to be interrupted by such an obnoxious person!

Daisy continued to gloat, "Oh right, my husband is a platinum member here with great privileges.

I bet Alan only reserved a standard table at most?

How about letting my husband help you upgrade to a luxury booth?

Before Mia could politely decline, Alan chuckled and said, "The table I reserved is quite nice too, so let's just forget about it."

Little did they know, he had booked the Sky City on the top floor to rehold a grand wedding for his wife.

What did her mere platinum membership have to gloat about?

Moreover, the entire Ritz-Carlton Hotel belonged to his family.

If he took his wife to a luxury booth meant for platinum members, wouldn't that be beneath their status?

At this, Daisy said with dissatisfaction, "Mia, look at your husband—he's so ungrateful. How do you usually discipline him?"

She sneered, "Alan's every move is unfit for such a noble occasion.

He should learn more about aristocratic etiquette from my husband. After all, my husband studied abroad."

Slaterin glanced at Alan disdainfully and laughed, "Honey, don't assign me such an impossible task.

Mr. Alan is so unconventional—teaching him aristocratic etiquette would be harder than ascending to the sky."

Daisy nodded, sighed, and said to Mia, "Honestly, you should just get a divorce.

Spending your whole life with such a poor man like Alan—what a (disgrace) to yourself!"

Daisy spoke without any restraint, completely ignoring Mia's feelings.

Mia couldn't stand it anymore and coldly snapped, "Daisy, what do you mean by that? My husband is none of your business to criticize."

Daisy covered her mouth and laughed, saying, I didn't think much of you even in college.

If your family hadn't had some money back then, how could you have been named the campus belle?

Now that you've married poorly, can't I even comment?

Upon hearing this, Allen felt deeply annoyed. This Daisy had been promiscuous in school, relying on her passable looks to cozy up to wealthy men.

Now that she was lucky enough to marry into a rich family, did she really think of herself as a young mistress of a wealthy household?

And how dare she mock his wife? She was courting death!

At this thought, a surge of anger welled up in his heart.

He took out his phone and sent a text to Claude, the CEO of the Ritz-Carlton: "Within three minutes, I want all the information on Daisy from the Davitija family in Pras City!

Seeing Allen silently staring at his phone, Daisy sneered even more.

Look at your husband. I'm mocking you, and he doesn't even dare to speak up for you. This is hilarious, hahaha!

Just then, Allen received a text from Claude: "Young Master, the information on Daisy has been sent to you."

Allen looked at the lengthy contents of the text, then at Daisy and her husband, Slytherin.

"I have some interesting information here. Would you like to hear it?" he asked with a smile.

Frowning, Daisy asked, "What information?"

Allen said in a loud voice: Daisy, female, 26 years old, graduated from Pras City University.

"During her freshman year, it was verified that she had no less than 100 hotel room records.

Moreover, there were eight different men with whom she opened hotel rooms."

Daisy stood there dumbfounded, her face deathly pale, and said, "What nonsense are you talking about!"

Watch out, or I'll sue you for defamation!"

Slate next to her furrowed his brows tightly, clearly shocked.

Allen added: "Wow, this is even more astonishing—you even had several hotel room visits with two men at once.

Weren't those two brothers? Were you having a threesome?"

Daisy screamed in terror: "You're lying! You're lying!"

Allen continued, "Moreover, during your sophomore year, you were kept by the vice president of the Vargo Group at a monthly rate of $20,000. This arrangement lasted for three years."

During that time, you had four abortions, all at Pras City Hospital.

The last abortion left you permanently infertile as declared by the doctor."

Then, he asked Slate curiously: "If I'm not mistaken, you two still don't have children yet, do you?"

Slate's expression instantly turned ugly. He glared at Daisy and demanded: What's going on?

Daisy broke into a cold sweat and said in a panic: "Don't listen to his nonsense! You know I gave my first time to you!"

Allen smiled and said: "Don't rush—there's more exciting stuff!"

Daisy panicked and pulled Slate, trying to drag him away while saying: "Stop talking! Honey, let's go now!

We'll be late for dinner!"

Slate frowned and stood motionless as he said to Allen, "What else?"

Allen smiled and said, Listen carefully.

After Daisy graduated from college, she underwent complete plastic surgery at a cosmetic hospital. A month later, she joined the Davitija Corporation and deliberately got to know Slate,

the eldest son of the Davitija family, by scraping his Bentley.

As he spoke, Allen looked up at Slate. "Am I right?"

Slate was stunned. He knew these things were true. Did that mean everything else was also true?

By now, Daisy's face was completely pale, and she was trembling with panic.

She pleaded with Allen, "Allen, I'm begging you, stop talking, please!"

Allen sneered, "Now you're begging me? Sorry, it's too late!"

He continued, "Half a month after meeting Slate, while on a business trip, she had a hymen repair surgery at a cosmetic hospital.

When she returned, she officially became Slate's girlfriend, and they got married six months later."

Daisy collapsed to the floor. She had no idea how Allen could have uncovered all her secrets, practically exposing her entire past to her husband.

With that, Kendall heaved a sigh and went on. But even when your father was a young man, foreign trade carried out by domestic entrepreneurs remained largely unchanged from the Tang and Song dynasties, lacking any sophisticated expertise. Meanwhile, Europeans and Americans had mastered cross-border finance to perfection—stocks, futures, oil, gold, private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital; these were their core trump cards back then. While Asian nations were slaving away manufacturing goods to trade overseas and scrape together profits bit by bit, Western hedge funds flooded Asia with massive hot money, wreaking havoc everywhere. They could trigger financial crises and legally seize the fruits of an Asian country’s labor accumulated over years, even decades, sending its finance, stock market and real estate market crashing down all at once.Back then, the Field Family set their sights on exploiting major domestic clans. The rest of the clan chimed in one after another, their reasoning plain and simple: Alan had grown up in humble circumstances and was simply unworthy of the eldest young lady of the Bruce Family.Domingo wore a sneering look as he spoke. How could such a man ever compare to a peerless beauty like Louise?Seeing every single person speaking out in opposition, the old Smith patriarch let out a cold snort and said, Do any of you know that Louise’s mother—the eldest daughter-in-law of the Bruce Family—once would have died for John? That’s right, Gaston, Alan’s male cousin, cut in. I’ve crossed paths with Louise from the Bruce Family before. She’s an icy, reserved woman who rarely attends social events.
