The lead enforcer inside the ICU ward pressed his calloused finger harder against the main power switch, his lips curling into a jagged, hideous smile. "Say goodnight to your worthless brother, little girl," he muttered under his breath, his eyes gleefully fixed on the flatlining numbers.

Outside the glass partition, the other two guards burst into a quiet, cruel round of laughter, completely amused by the innocent girl's impending death. "That crippled driver is probably drowning in a puddle right now anyway," one of them chuckled, crossing his massive arms over his chest.

"Two bodies down, one massive payday for us. Young Master Richard really knows how to treat his loyal boys." The heavy electronic sliding door suddenly glided open with a soft, trailing hiss, cutting their shared laughter short.

Lucas stepped over the threshold, his clothes drenched in neon-tainted rainwater, his posture completely straight and unyielding. His eyes were no longer dull and submissive; they burned with an ancient, absolute golden light that seemed to swallow the dim hallway illumination.

"Who the hell are you?" the first guard barked, his smile freezing instantly as he took a step back from the terrifying aura. "Wait... is that the live-in dog?" the second enforcer gasped, squinting hard through the dimness at Lucas's perfectly healed legs.

"How are you standing, you trash? Young Master Richard’s personal mercenaries shattered your knees into literal powder at the banquet!"

"Your men are as incompetent as your imagination, Young Master Richard," Lucas said, his calm voice dripping with sharp, mocking disdain. "They hit like weak children, and your premium medical facility clearly has a much better orthopedic department than you think."

Inside the glass room, the lead thug heard the commotion, turning his head sharply while still keeping his heavy hand locked onto the life-support switch. "What are you idiots doing out there?" the leader roared through the intercom. "I told you to keep watch! Squash that limping dog!"

"He isn't even limping, Boss!" the first guard shouted back, panic finally creeping into his gruff voice as he drew a long, gleaming switchblade.

"I don't care if he crawled out of hell on his teeth!" the leader hissed, his eyes filling with vicious rage. "Cut him into pieces!"

The two enforcers in the hallway lunged simultaneously, their heavy blades slicing through the sterile air, aiming directly for Lucas’s throat. Lucas didn't flinch, nor did he take a single step backward to evade the oncoming lethal steel.

He knew the hospital cameras were actively recording; any display of explosive, celestial martial arts would instantly alert the gods watching from above. To maintain his absolute disguise while ensuring total destruction, he chose a method of supreme, subtle, and terrifyingly logical efficiency.

His hand blurred, snatching a sealed pack of silver medical acupuncture needles from a stainless-steel tray sitting on a nearby nurse's cart. With a microscopic flick of his fingers, he infused the metallic tips with thin, invisible strands of true primordial qi.

FHWIP!

The silver needles flew through the air like microscopic bolts of silent lightning, completely invisible to the untrained human eye. They struck the two charging enforcers with absolute, flawless precision, burying themselves deep into the hidden, primary neurological pressure points of their necks.

Instantly, both men froze mid-stride, their weapons slipping from their numb fingers and clattering loudly against the cold linoleum floor. Their bodies stiffened into rigid, awkward statues, their eyes rolling back into their heads as their entire central nervous systems violently short-circuited.

Thick, white foam began to bubble rapidly from their lips, their muscles violently twitching as they collapsed heavily onto the floor. To any medical professional or hospital surveillance camera, it would look like a sudden, simultaneous, and entirely freak neurological stroke.

"What... what did you do to them?" the leader inside the ICU shrieked, his previous arrogance instantly evaporating into pure horror. He abandoned the power switch entirely, reaching frantically into his heavy leather jacket to pull out a silenced, black semi-automatic pistol.

Before his finger could even touch the metal trigger, Lucas stepped into the room, his movement faster than a human heartbeat. Lucas grabbed the thug's wrist, his grip clamping down like a vice forged from celestial iron, completely crushing the bones instantly.

CRUNCH.

The man let out a muffled, agonizing scream, the heavy pistol dropping harmlessly onto the soft mattress of the hospital bed. "You dared to raise your hand against my family," Lucas whispered, his voice vibrating with a terrifying, ancient divine malice.

"Please... please spare me! I was just following orders!" the leader begged, tears of absolute agony mixing with the cold sweat on his face. "The modern world has forgotten the price of cosmic insolence," Lucas murmured softly, his golden eyes drilling directly into the thug's soul.

He drove two fingers lightly against the man’s chest, releasing a microscopic, concentrated pulse of freezing primordial energy directly into his heart. The enforcer’s heart instantly froze in mid-beat, his eyes turning dull and lifeless as he slumped silently against the wall, dead.

Lucas paid the corpse no further attention, turning his gaze immediately to the fragile, pale girl lying beneath the clean sheets. "Maya," he murmured, his icy demeanor completely melting away, replaced by the profound, aching protective instinct of the mortal Lucas.

He placed his palm gently over her chest, sending a warm, soothing stream of refined qi flowing directly through her weak veins. The divine energy instantly mended her damaged cellular structure, stabilizing her erratic heart monitor and bringing a healthy flush to her cheeks.

"Sleep peacefully, little sister," he whispered softly. "No one in this wretched city will ever dare to hurt you again." Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the far end of the main hallway burst open with a loud, echoey crash.

Young Master Richard marched down the corridor, dressed in his pristine tuxedo, flanked by a dozen heavily armed syndicate bodyguards. Beside Richard walked two older men wearing police uniforms, their expressions arrogant and completely bought by the Richard family's massive wealth.

"The trash should be entirely dead by now," Richard said, lighting an expensive cigar with a golden lighter as he walked. "Officers, make sure you write the report exactly as we agreed. The live-in dog went mad, killed his sister, and jumped."

"Don't worry, Young Master Richard," the senior corrupt officer chuckled, patting the heavy pistol resting securely on his utility belt. "In Oakhaven, whatever the Richard family says is the absolute truth. The paperwork will be completely flawless by tomorrow morning."

They reached the entrance of Ward 402, and Richard’s smug, triumphant smile instantly froze solid on his aristocratic face. His expensive cigar slipped from his fingers, falling onto the floor as his jaw dropped in absolute, unadulterated shock.

The two enforcers he had paid millions to secure were twitching in pools of foam, their bodies completely paralyzed and broken. Standing right in the center of the hallway, completely clean and entirely unharmed, was the man he thought he had destroyed.

"Lu... Lucas?" Richard stammered, his voice cracking violently as he instinctively took two frantic steps back into his wall of guards. "How the hell are you standing? I personally watched my men break your knees into splinters! This is completely impossible!"

Lucas walked out of the ICU room, pulling the heavy wooden door shut behind him to protect Maya from the noise. "Young Master Richard, you seem remarkably surprised to see your loyal driver," Lucas said, his voice dripping with smooth, terrifying mockery.
