“Am I dead?”
Micheal opened his eyes slow. Unfamiliar room. Body hurt. But he was breathing. Touched his chest. Then his head. Just checking everything was still there.
Not a hospital.
Room was massive. Only rich people lived like this. Golden light from crystal chandeliers. Bed wide enough for four. Silk sheets colder than anything he’d ever felt. Heavy curtains on big windows. Smell of expensive perfume and wood in the air.
Man in a white coat stood by the bed with a tablet. Saw Micheal’s eyes open and stopped.
“You’re awake,” the doctor said. Sounded surprised. “Didn’t think you’d wake up for another day at least.”
Before Micheal could say anything a weird mechanical voice spoke inside his head.
[Ding! Activation requirements have been fulfilled.]
Micheal froze.
“What the hell was that?”
[The system is now initializing.]
Faint blue screen floated in front of him.
Micheal just stared.
[Initialization complete.]
[Welcome, Host.]
Rubbed his eyes. Screen still there.
“Am I hallucinating?”
[Negative. The Host is conscious, and the system is functioning normally.]
Micheal swallowed hard. After everything that happened this was the last thing he expected.
“What are you?”
[That information will be revealed when the Host reaches the required level.]
Frowned. “Then what can you do?”
[The system assists the Host in improving his life, developing abilities, and increasing his personal attributes. Rewards can be obtained by completing assigned objectives.]
Stared at the screen a few seconds. “Show me my status.”
[Command accepted.]
Screen changed.
[Personal Status] Name: Micheal Jordan Age: 21 Occupation: Unemployed Relationship Status: Married Current Status: Virgin System Points: 0 Skills: None Special Abilities: None
Eyes stopped on one line.
“Why does it have to say that?”
[The information is relevant.]
“Relevant to what?”
[The Host is twenty-one years old, married, unemployed, has no special skills, and has accumulated zero system points. The system is merely presenting an accurate assessment.]
Face went dark. “You could’ve left that part out.”
[The system does not hide facts from the Host.]
Sighed. Kept reading.
“What are system points?”
[Points are awarded when the Host successfully influences the emotions of others through his actions, words, achievements, or choices. The stronger the emotional response, the greater the potential reward.]
“So if I make someone happy I get points?”
[Correct.]
“What if I piss someone off?”
[That may also produce points.]
Eyes narrowed. “And what do I do with them?”
[Points may be exchanged for abilities, money, items, information, and other rewards through the System Store.]
New section popped up.
Appearance: Level 1 Remarks: Slightly above average. Unfortunately, your body is so weak that even a decent punch might send you looking for your ancestors. If you intend to survive the people who will eventually stand against you, improving your strength would be a good place to start.
Mission: Random Remarks: Missions will be assigned randomly. Rewards will depend on the Host’s performance.
Mouth twitched. System wasn’t just giving info. It was straight up insulting him every chance it got.
“What’s your problem with me?”
[The system is only providing an honest assessment.]
“Your honesty is getting on my nerves.”
[The Host’s current condition is also annoying.]
Stared at the screen. Rubbed his forehead. He’d read a ton of online novels. Knew about systems showing up out of nowhere. Hosts getting crazy powers, getting rich, crushing people who looked down on them.
Never once imagined getting a system that treated roasting him like part of the job.
“So this is actually a system,” he muttered. “And from what you’re saying I earn points off people’s emotions and use them to buy abilities.”
[Correct.]
“And you want me to build a harem or something?”
[The system’s ultimate objective is to assist the Host in becoming a man capable of attracting exceptional women from Earth and beyond. The greater the Host’s achievements, the greater his potential.]
Stared at the words.
Didn’t know whether to laugh or curse.
“Out of every system I could’ve gotten, I got this one.”
Always pictured something useful. Money system that could fix his problems right away. With that, the hundred thousand for his sister would’ve been nothing.
Instead he got a system that wanted him to become some legendary womanizer.
Sighed. “Open the System Mall.”
Screen flipped. Rows of abilities and items. Different point costs. Some cheap. Some so expensive he couldn’t even imagine how long it would take.
Scrolled a bit. Then asked, “What if I don’t do a mission?”
[Nothing.]
Looked up. “Nothing?”
[There is no penalty for failure.]
“That doesn’t sound normal.”
[The system has no interest in punishing the Host for refusing a mission. However, completing missions is the fastest way for the Host to obtain rewards.]
Nodded. At least that was decent.
Was about to keep looking when another thought hit.
“Don’t I get a starter pack?”
Silence for a second.
[The Host has already received one.]
Frowned. “When?”
[The starter package was used during the activation process to prevent the Host from dying in the accident.]
Eyes went wide.
“So you saved my life?”
[Correct.]
Remembered the car hitting him. Everything going black. If the system was telling the truth he should’ve died on that road.
Expression got serious. “Then I owe you.”
[The Host does not owe the system anything. The Host’s continued survival is beneficial to the system.]
Nodded. Before he could say more the system added another line.
[However, if the Host had possessed a more respectable personal condition, the system might have considered providing additional assistance.]
Eyes narrowed. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
[The Host is a twenty-one-year-old virgin.]
Face went dark fast.
“I know.”
[The system is simply stating a fact.]
“You don’t have to keep saying it.”
[If the Host had already gained experience with women, the system might have considered him more promising.]
Mouth twitched hard. What the hell was wrong with this thing? Every time it opened its mouth it found a new way to dig at him.
Then the door opened.
Woman walked in first. Second doctor behind her.
Micheal’s breath almost caught.
Early twenties. Long dark hair past her shoulders. Sharp elegant face. Magazine-cover type. Simple white blouse and black pants, but the way she stood made it obvious she was used to being the most important person in the room.
Aurelia Langford. Only daughter of the Langford family. One of the richest and most powerful industrial families in the country. Controlled big shares in energy, real estate, tech. Even people who didn’t know business knew that name.
Aurelia’s eyes moved around the room. Landed on Micheal. Little flicker of surprise when she saw he was awake.
Male doctor straightened up. Spoke polite.
“Miss Langford, the patient has regained consciousness.”
Aurelia nodded once. Stepped closer. Middle-aged female doctor moved to the other side of the bed and started checking vitals while the first doctor gave the latest numbers.
[Ding! New Mission Activated.]
Voice again in his head.
[Mission: Unexpected Encounter] Objective: Before Aurelia Langford leaves the room, get her to voluntarily lie on top of the Host beneath the same duvet for ten seconds. Reward: 100 System Points.
Micheal stared at it.
“You serious?”
[The system does not joke.]
“How the hell am I supposed to do that? She’s Aurelia Langford. People like her don’t even look at people like me, let alone climb into bed with a stranger.”
[The Host may use his intelligence.]
Face darkened when another line showed up.
[The system will not be surprised if the Host fails. After all, the Host has been rejected by his wife, abandoned by his family, and remains a virgin.]
Expression went completely black. “You really love bringing that up, don’t you?”
[The system is merely stating facts.]
Took a deep breath. Forced himself to stay calm. Whatever the system wanted, he’d have to figure it out himself.
Aurelia stood near the foot of the bed, watching the female doctor. Face calm, but there was curiosity in her eyes.
Female doctor frowned at the monitor. “His recovery is abnormal. Internal injuries that should’ve kept him out for days are healing way faster than they should.”
Aurelia looked at Micheal. Studied him a second. Then spoke calm and even.
“My car hit you last night.”
Micheal’s eyes widened a bit.
“I was driving,” she said. No emotion. “Road was dark. You stepped out too sudden. After the crash my people brought you here instead of a public hospital. Langford family doesn’t leave loose ends.”
Cold. Practical. Exactly the kind of thing someone from her world would say.
Female doctor kept checking pulse and temperature. Room a little cool from the AC. Silk duvet still covering the lower half of his body.
Micheal’s mind was racing. Mission was crazy. No normal way a woman like Aurelia Langford would voluntarily lie on top of him under a duvet. Asking straight would get him thrown out. Forcing anything impossible.
Needed a reason she couldn’t just refuse.

Chapter 8
She had never been spoken to this way in her entire career. The steady stream of remarks from the man in front of her had pushed past irritation into something sharper—humiliation that demanded an immediate answer.Michael watched the change in her eyes and spoke again, voice still mild. “If you redirected even half of this intensity somewhere more productive, we might both leave this room in a better mood. I trust you understand what I mean.”The last of her restraint vanished. She snatched the service pistol from the table and leveled it at his chest. “I’ll kill you.”Michael’s smile turned slightly strained. “I didn’t expect things to reach this point so quickly. There is still room to talk this through.”“I don’t care,” she snapped. “You die today.”He gave a small shrug, the cuffs limiting the motion. “You would be eliminating the only person currently willing to put up with you. That leaves a rather long and solitary future.”“Shut up!”Her finger tightened on the trigger—then s
Chapter 7
Police officers stepped from the vehicles the moment the cars stopped and moved straight toward Michael. Elizabeth raised her voice at once, pointing directly at him. “Arrest him. He’s the one who did this to all of them.”The officer in charge was a young woman whose uniform did little to conceal a figure both precise and striking, her dark hair drawn into a tight, practical bun. She approached without hesitation and reached for Michael’s wrists. “You’re under arrest for assault.”Michael offered a faint, wry smile as the cuffs closed. “This was self-defense. They came at me first with clear intent to cripple.”She gave no sign of having heard him. With a short order to her team to gather the injured men and see them to a hospital, she guided Michael firmly toward one of the waiting cars and climbed in after him. His further attempts to explain were met with the same silence; she simply refused to engage. At the station she led him, still cuffed, into an interrogation room and secure
Chapter 6
Michael turned around slowly to face Elizabeth, his voice steady as he asked, “And how is that any of your business?”Elizabeth’s expression twisted with anger. She pointed at him and spoke through gritted teeth. “Why didn’t you tell me before that you had money? All this time you hid it from me and let me suffer for years!”Michael narrowed his eyes at her. “And why should I have told someone who never showed a single bit of gratitude?”Her face flushed with rage, but before she could answer he continued in a calm, measured tone. “Tell me, when were you ever satisfied with anything I did for you? All you ever did was criticize me and compare me to your friends who had rich boyfriends. And now you expect me to have shared my wealth with you?” He gave a slight shake of his head. “You’re not worthy of it.”“Michael, I will never forgive you for this!” Elizabeth shouted. He raised an eyebrow. “Forgive me? Weren’t you the one who said we came from different worlds? It seems you were right
Chapter 5
Micheal did not head to the hotel immediately. His first stop was the hospital. He went straight to the billing counter and settled the medical expenses for his sister. With the Twenty million dollars Aurelia he received from the system, he was able to clear everything without leaving any debt behind. After confirming that her treatment would continue without interruption, he left the hospital with a slightly lighter heart.Only then did he make his way to the hotel.According to the system, one of the rewards he had previously received included ownership of a property—King Hotel. The current manager would be able to recognize him.Micheal sighed as he walked into the lobby of King Hotel. The place was luxurious, the kind of establishment that only the wealthy frequented. Soft lighting reflected off polished marble floors, and the quiet hum of expensive conversation filled the air.He walked toward the reception desk with a calm expression.“Excuse me,” he said, offering a polite smil
Chapter 4
Micheal lowered his voice as he watched the doctor hurry out of the ward. “System, open the reward.” Almost immediately, a translucent interface appeared in front of him, and the familiar mechanical voice sounded inside his head.[Mission completed. Would the Host like to receive the reward?]“Yes.”[Reward distribution has begun. Congratulations, Host. You have received 2,000 System Points, $10,000,000, and ownership of The King Hotel. The money has been transferred directly into the Host's bank account, while the hotel has already been purchased under the Host's name. All necessary ownership documents have also been completed.]Micheal stared at the notification for several seconds before a smile slowly spread across his face. Ten million dollars was already more money than he had ever imagined having, but the system had gone even further by giving him ownership of The KingHotel, one of the most luxurious five-star hotels in the city. Just a few hours ago, he had been desperately se

The female doctor finished checking the monitor. Looked at Micheal with a thoughtful face.“Young man, you’ve got a tenacious life. Still trying to figure out how you’re even conscious right now.”Micheal met her eyes. No smile.“Don’t feel particularly lucky,” he said. “Just stubborn.”Doctor raised an eyebrow a little. “Stubbornness doesn’t usually fix broken bones overnight. Your internal injuries were bad enough most people wouldn’t have lasted the night.”Aurelia stood a few steps away. Arms loosely crossed. Watching the whole thing in silence. She hadn’t left the room.Micheal glanced at her for half a second before answering the doctor.“Maybe the people who planned the night didn’t account for every variable.”Female doctor paused. Clearly didn’t expect that. Glanced at Aurelia, then back at Micheal.“Whatever the reason,” she said carefully, “your recovery is outside normal medical expectations. We’ll need more tests.”Before Micheal could say anything the heavy doors opened.
