The woman's wrist had been tied firmly to a tree. She struggled to break free but the ropes only cut deeper.

“How long would it take for this nuisance to be annihilated?" Golden teeth growled, his hands tightening as he turned over to his partner.

"A few seconds.” The other man sneered.

“We would have him first. While we save the best for the last!" Their laughter echoed through the forest, sharp and cruel. Even the birds flew at the sound.

A voice responded.

"And that's just as much time you would get before your life ends up wasted. Leave the lady alone and you might just be fortunate enough not to experience too much pain."

The men paused. Then laughter erupted, mocking and loud.

"What are you supposed to be? The God of War?" Vipers of Mockery echoing through their voices.

"Well let's tell you the situation you're in. You're in the middle of nowhere, with no weapon, weak and against two armed. What do you think you can defeat us with? Those underfed muscles of yours?" They howled, their jeers echoing.

"That would be thirty seconds of your death time gone already.” Hudderson said coldly. “

Scram or start making your last wishes." Hudderson's face dripped with excessive coldness.

A frown cuts right through the faces of the two men. They fist clenched tightly. The threats from Hudderson, it stung their stomachs like a sharp blade.

"Enough games. Let's end it!” Golden teeth snarled, fist clenching.

The damsel in despair shook her head firmly, her being totally succumbed to the disappointment that bit down her stomach.

“Fool. He is going to get himself killed.” She thought.

Or maybe he is stalling to get help. Or he just sincerely has a death wish.

The thugs lunged, their hands slicing through the air and aiming for Hudderson's throat.

Hudderson didn't move. His gaze is calm. No stance, no defense. Not bulging even a muscle.

The lady's heart sank. “Pathetic.” Even a fool would have a fighting stance but this guy had nothing.

‘He isn't even trying. Wasted face on an empty brain.’

The air around him bounced in fright and aT the force from the energy that spurted off from Hudderson, the men hurled backwards, collapsing into the dust and their eyes widened with shock as they groaned.

Pain ripped through every crack in their bodies. Their eyes widened with disbelief.

"How's... How's that possible?" Golden teeth choked.

The woman's lips parted. It seemed a low blow had been struck down her guts that she could barely breathe.

"Could he… Could he actually save me?”

The men staggered back to their feets, bruised and trembling. But their pride burned hotter with pain. Rage blazed in their eyes.

They had been humiliated by someone who didn't even look capable of throwing a punch.

They needed to break him. And let everything that breath knew that they were not to be messed with.

"Don't get cocky" One of the men spat, hatred woven into his face.

"We only underestimated you. Seems the little fly has some background skill on how to fight. But let's see how he is going to fare without weapons."

They drew their knives, steel flashing under the sun. The last bit of hope in the lady's heart, completely snuffed out.

With a roar, they launched at him with their blades clawing at him.

But Hudderson moved as though he was moving through breeze. A side step here, a twist there, their attacks only cut through air.

Too slow.

For the supreme ruler, feared by the seven God of War of the seven realms, this was nothing but child's play. How he wished it could pass off as exercise to break a sweat.

Frustration contorted into their faces. Rage cutting through every vine on their body as they attacked once again.

And finally, Hudderson's patience snapped. He grew tired of their little games.

"Enough of this violent cartoon." Though his words remained calm, the world around him seemed to ripple with fright, shuddering backwards at the command of the supreme Ruler.

He caught both their wrists at once.

They tried to move, but nothing happened. They were stuck and powerless, like little babies, their eyes burned red with regrets, panic wove into their souls.

Hudderson's gaze turned dark.

"You won't say I didn't warn you!" Just with one blow, Hudderson sent them flying through the air. Their bones cracked and blood gushed out from every hole in their body like a fountain.

They tried to stand up but their bodies slumped back, unable to bear the pain anymore, the sound of their painful groans filling the once peaceful environment. One of the thugs passed out on the spot.

Just one exhale and Hudderson turned towards the lady.

Her mind was barely able to grasp everything that had just happened. Her pale face mixed with both gratitude and shock.

She stared at his face. He was handsome, his skin almost flawless. He didn't look like someone who could even throw a fist.

"How... How!" A stare at the bulky men, rolling in pain, and this seaming, ordinary-looking man, was just beyond anything that she could imagine.

With his look schooled back into neutrality, Hudderson smiled at her.

"Should get you out of there in a bit!" He drew closer to her, catching sight of her gorgeous self, mainly below her chest.

She was indeed stunning. Hudderson pulled his face. But hers had already turned red.

He averted his gaze while trying to loosen the ropes that had been firmly tied around her, every muscle on his body tense.

Then her breath caught. Her face drained of all the colors.

Steel flashed.

A knife sank deep into Hudderson's side

Golden teeth stood behind him, bloody and battered. Yet he stood, grinning as he pressed the knife deeper into Hudderson's side..

"Guess hell is going to be saying hello to three new fellows." He smiled broadly.

Heads turned to Hudderson. He was tall, with a fine face, unassuming and most easily, he looked useless and poor. Their interest ended.Their eyes swept over his plain figure causing their lips to curl with so much disdain."The Sinclairs invited a clown?" Hudderson could easily catch small whispers from the crowd but he continued walking forward steadily."Well, such a good joke! The Jew of Mog married to this..." The man almost puked while saying the words. "Low-life slug!" The crowd of rich audiences erupted in hearty laughter. However, the Sinclairs and members of Jackson's family didn't, because they didn't know Hudderson. They turned their heads to one another. Confusion filling their gazes. 'Who's this fool? How did he even get in here? How could he make such preposterous allegations."Jackson's uncle stepped forward towards the couples with a face as cold as ice "Who are you?" His eyes stabbed Hudderson right in the chest and without waiting for a response, he continued.

“How did you do it!" Charlotte inquired. She had forgotten that today was even her wedding day. Desperate only to clear her insecurity."Nothing a few drinks bodies cannot solve." He returned. His words not the slightest but convincing.Calling himself the supreme Ruler would already be laughing. And he didn't want to reveal his identity just yet.Not when he was yet to find out what had happened to his parents on that night. He could not send the rats running into their tiny holes just before they were brought to book."Drink bodies?" She cocked a brow once again, hints of disbelief cutting through her stare.Even someone like Jackson didn't have such drink buddies to pull such strings. Talk less of someone that could easily pass for a mad man."Tell me the truth!" Her voice was even more fierce, shooting a low blow down her guts."The supervisor. He owes me a favour for saving his life one of those times. And he's a man of his word and he couldn't hold back." Hudderson mustered cal

It was impossible to get an online service from the registry. Even someone like Jackson couldn't pull such a string.Charlotte watched closely as Hudderson brought out his cell phone. It was just like him, shattered and broken. She almost spat her lungs out in disdain. But she kept her cool, waiting to see where the whole of this was going to lead.A few moments later, his phone beeped and he stopped, turning around towards her. Charlotte could feel the hot sting of disappointment in the air. She wanted to laugh. But that was unbecoming of the renowned Miss. Sinclair."How was the attempt going! Let me guess. It wasn't even entertained." Her face blotted, definitely hiding the load of her laughter."Unfortunately... It took longer than I expected!"He flashed the phone before Charlotte. The marriage certificate was on full display."All we need to do to make everything legal is send our signatory. After the whole drama here, we could head to the physical center to get things sorted o

“Going as low as stalking now!""What do you want from me, you life-draining leech? My life? My company? Do you want my firm or intend to flaunt your achievement here before anyone!" Charlotte lets out her frustration."Are you Miss Sinclair?" Hudderson needed clarification. For this purpose, there could not be a mistake."For someone who claims to know nothing about my status. You sure have a lot of information!" Spite filled her voice.Memories from that night flashed before Hudderson. The girl that night had grown into a beautiful young lady, running away from being sold to an old man just for the fun of it."I'm not here for any of those reasons you mentioned earlier. Rather I'm here to take responsibility for what I did. I'm not an irresponsible man after all!"Charlotte paused. Her face flashed multiple emotions just within a few seconds. From anger, disgust, and then amusement."You want to take responsibility!" She resonated once again, a hint of sarcasm in her voice."What

“Master?" Everyone repeated the words. They thought that they had heard around. But after asking around, it was the same. The Ambassador actually said those words. The guard panicked. The crowd shivered. If Hudderson turned out to be someone powerful, then they were all as good as dead. The grey-haired old lady quickly vanished into the crowd, her blood pressure increasing beyond anything that she could bear.Hudderson shot a single glance at the Ambassador and he seemed to read to room instantly, standing straight from the bowing position."You seem to be having trouble, sir!" He placed the words, one on top of another carefully. If Saint was already careful around the God of War with whom he was familiar, then he didn't know what to do with the supreme Ruler."Troubles?" Hudderson batted an eye."Well tell me if standing here for over thirty minutes, almost getting arrested after presenting a pass, and being labeled a criminal passes as not experiencing troubles." Saint quivered.

A dozen guards walked in. Looking bulky and fierce, ready to ripe Hudderson apart, skin and bone. "That's him." The guard jagged a finger at Hudderson. "The little prick who has gotten tired of living." Chief Smith stepped forward, his face straight and sharp and he asked. "What happened?" The guard straightened himself, his chest puffing. "He tried to force his way into the ball. I warned him, even took my time to explain the protocols but he remained adamant, daring to produce a fake pass."The chief frowned deeply. "You're coming with us young man. After this you will think twice before playing dirty games." "Serves him right!" Hissed the grey haired lady, her eyes flashing.Bitterness bled in her tone, she herself had once been rejected for a fake pass and watching Hudderson's torture brought so much excitements."But Hudderson's voice remained almost too calm as he leaned forward and muttered. "What if I decide that I'm not coming with you?" His voice carried no weight but s
