Hudderson was annoyed by Sharon’s words, but he had to swallow his anger for the sake of Charlotte who seemed to admire the prosperous young lady.

“I didn’t come here just to leave, Sharon. I am here for the event.” He said, making use of the calmest voice he could think of.

Sharon rolled her eyes at him, staring with so much disdain.

“But we cannot let you stay. You are a nobody. Maybe your wife can stay, but we cannot let you stay.” She turned to Charlotte with a wry smile.

“Charlotte darling?” She paused to be sure that she had Charlotte’s attention.

“If you would love to stay for this event, then I suggest you ask your nameless husband to leave. That’s the only way we are letting you stay.”

Charlotte was disappointed, her admiration for Sharon was washed down the drain at once.

She turned to Jackson who had the same sinister look as his girlfriend.

“No.” She said firmly, causing their expression to drop.
