George stepped out for a moment because Gavi had called him earlier. George couldn't possibly take Gavi's call in front of Alexa and Niccole, especially since he was trying to hide his identity.

Liam also introduced himself as George's friend, not as his subordinate, to Alexa and Niccole.

"Liam, it looks like Geo is taking an important call. Does he have to go back to America?" asked Alexa.

Liam scratched his head, which wasn't itchy. He didn't know who was calling his boss.

"I don't know who called George either," Liam replied with an awkward chuckle.

Of course Liam felt awkward, because he wasn't used to calling his boss by his first name directly.

"I thought you saw who called Geo earlier," Alexa said with a chuckle.

Suddenly, George appeared at the door. "Liam, can you come with me for a moment? I need to talk to you about something." Liam nodded and immediately went over to George.

"You two take a break. We're going out for a bit," George ordered.

The two of them left Alexa and Niccole behind.

"Niccole, did you see Geo's face? He looked tense, like he was in trouble," Alexa said with a worried look on her face.

Niccole smiled at Alexa, then gently rubbed her head. "You don't need to worry about things you don't need to worry about. Your brother is not a weak man. Right now, all you need to think about is your recovery."

Alexa sighed with a sad expression.

"If Geo has problems with his work, plus he has to take care of me in my condition, I feel sad. I'm just adding to his problems," Alexa said softly.

"Oh my God, Alexa. I'm your family too, right? So don't think I'm not here. If Geo is busy with work, I'll take care of you," Niccole replied.

Alexa looked at Niccole with teary eyes, then hugged her.

"Thank you. You're so kind to me," Alexa murmured.

On the other hand.

George invited Liam to talk in the hospital cafeteria while eating, because George knew Liam must be very hungry.

"Can you take care of Alexa and Niccole for me for two days? I have to go see someone," asked George.

"You mean, I'll take care of them here and you'll go back to America first to see someone?" Liam asked George for clarification.

"No. I'm going to meet someone in Hougang," George replied with a slight smile.

Seeing George's smile, Liam became suspicious that this had something to do with Charlotte.

"Does this have anything to do with Mrs. Charlotte?" Liam asked.

"She invited me to come, so I have to meet her," George replied.

"What do you mean, commander? I don't quite understand. Isn't she trying to kill you? Why would she suddenly invite you to come?" asked Liam.

"I just want to surprise them and come at their invitation," replied George with a chuckle.

"Your job for now is just to protect the two women until I return here," he continued.

"Don't you need a bodyguard?" Liam was naturally concerned about his boss's safety.

"What for? I'm not coming to fight. But I might bring Gavi with me," said George.

"All right." Liam seemed resigned to George's decision.

Liam was sure his boss had made the right decision and would not leave without a good reason.

"Tomorrow I'll talk to Alexa," George muttered.

"It seems difficult for you to leave your sister again, especially since you just met Alexa," replied Liam.

"It is difficult, but I still have to go. Besides, Alexa won't be sad because Niccole is with her," replied George.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of Alexa and that woman," said Liam.

"Thank you, Liam," George said with a slight smile.

The next morning.

Niccole had just helped wipe Alexa's body and change her clothes.

Soon after, George and Liam arrived.

"Breakfast for you," said George as he handed the paper bag to Niccole.

"Thank you," Niccole said as she accepted the paper bag from George.

George sat in the chair next to Alexa.

"Alexa, how are you feeling? Do you still have any pain or dizziness?" asked George.

"No, Geo. It's just that I still can't walk," replied Alexa with a slight smile.

"Don't worry about that. Just focus on your therapy and you'll get better. And don't think about anything else. I just want you to focus on your recovery," said George firmly.

"Thank you, Geo." Alexa looked happy and hugged George.

George gently stroked Alexa's back.

Alexa let go of the hug.

"Alexa, I have to go away for a few days for work. Liam will stay here to take care of you both. Don't be mad at me for leaving," said George.

Alexa's smile immediately disappeared. It turned out that George really did have work issues.

"Will you let me go?" asked George.

"I promise it won't be long," he continued.

Alexa sighed. Now George had a big responsibility. If he didn't carry out his boss's orders, he would definitely be fired from his job.

"I can't stop you either. Now you have a big responsibility. But promise me you'll come back safely. We just got together, Geo," Alexa replied softly.

"I promise I won't be long," George replied with a smile.

"When are you leaving?" asked Alexa.

"I'm leaving soon," replied George.

"What did your boss order you to do? Is it serious?" Alexa couldn't help but be curious, and of course she was worried about George's safety.

"Just taking care of useless people. You don't need to worry, I'll be fine," said George, stroking Alexa's head.

"I believe in you, Geo. Come home safely," Alexa said, holding back her tears.

Shortly after, Gavi contacted George to say he was already at the hospital George had instructed him to go to.

George kissed Alexa's forehead briefly, then left.

"Geo, wait!" Niccole called out.

George, who was already in the hospital parking lot, had to stop in his tracks and go back to Niccole.

"What do you need?" asked George.

"Go home safely, without a scratch. Alexa will be waiting for you, and so will I, waiting for your answer," replied Niccole, lowering her head.

"Yes, I will definitely return safely." After saying that, George left again and got into Gavi's car.

Niccole continued to watch until the car was no longer visible. She was increasingly convinced that George could help her.

Elsewhere.

Charlotte invited several of her business associates and threw a lavish party for her important guests.

"Remember, we all have to make the warlord happy with us. This very luxurious welcome must impress him," said Charlotte.

"You're right, dear," replied Gerry, putting his arm around his wife's waist.

"We just have to wait a few more hours," said Charlotte with a happy expression.

"Finally, I can get rid of those two damn kids and follow their mother to hell. I'm sure that after I get help from the strongest warlord, George will die quickly," Charlotte said to herself with a slight smile.

"Oh my god, honey, his assistant has contacted me to say they will arrive here soon," said Gerry.

Charlotte asked her entire family to welcome the special guest. They waited near the door.

Soon after, the door opened, and someone entered. They all bowed respectfully, but when they saw the person's face, they were stunned, as if they couldn't believe their eyes.

Niccole touched George’s forehead and found that he had a fever. Perhaps it was because his wound had been left untreated for too long. Niccole then hurried to get a small towel to apply a compress to George’s forehead to bring down his fever.Niccole checked George’s temperature and found that his fever was over 38°C.“Geo needs to take some medicine to bring down his fever,” Niccole muttered.Niccole first tended to the wound on George’s back, applying pain-relieving ointment. After that, she tried to wake George up so he could take his fever medicine.“Geo, take your medicine first so your pain goes away; then you can go back to sleep,” Niccole instructed. But George ignored Niccole and stayed asleep. Perhaps the dizziness made him choose to sleep instead.Niccole sighed. George still had to take the medicine so his fever wouldn’t get worse, so she boldly popped the pill directly into his mouth.“What did you put in my mouth? Why is it so bitter?” George woke up suddenly. His head

George sat in his office chair with his eyes closed. He had managed to get rid of that lowly traitor, but he was absolutely certain that the damn president would create more trouble until he was forced to fall to his knees and submit to him. But that was impossible; he would never submit to a leader who was in the wrong.“Do whatever you want, you damn bald man! I won’t submit to you,” George growled inwardly.“Commander, you’re truly amazing. You can easily spot someone who’s betraying us,” Gavi said admiringly.“It’s not that hard, Gavi.” George replied, his eyes still closed. Seeing this, Gavi sensed that his superior was exhausted. These past few days, he hadn’t had a proper chance to rest.“Commander, you should just go home. It seems like you need some rest. You haven’t rested properly for three days; I’ll handle the work issues at headquarters,” Gavi said.George opened his eyes and gave Gavi a faint smile. It seemed he really did need rest; his body was utterly exhausted, and

George smiled as he saw one of them tense up. Clearly, that was the real traitor.George glared at him; how dare anyone betray him. He wouldn’t give a traitor a chance—he hated traitors more than anything.“How dare anyone betray me! It seems I haven’t been firm enough in my leadership since there are still those trying to betray me. I hate traitors the most, no matter what the reason!” George growled, which only made them even more terrified.George noticed one of them clenching both fists; his face looked annoyed, but it seemed he still wouldn’t back down from his stance and was trying to find a way to protect himself.“Vero, what’s wrong with you? Why are your fists clenched like that? You don’t seem to like what I’m saying,” said George, making Vero look nervous.“You might be mistaken, Commander. I wouldn’t dare defy you,” Vero replied, trying to stay calm.“You certainly wouldn’t dare defy me directly, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t dare to be a traitor,” George retorted.“W

George asked Gavi to help him find ingredients for an antidote. It wasn’t just Gavi; several people who hadn’t been poisoned also helped George search for those ingredients. Some ingredients were hard to come by, usually found in dangerous places like forbidden forests or cliff edges. For those high-risk ingredients, George decided to search for them himself; he had to take full responsibility without putting others in danger.“There are a few key ingredients I have to find myself, because the locations are quite dangerous. While I’m gone, make sure those who’ve been poisoned receive the best care. I’ll do my best to quickly obtain the key ingredients for the antidote,” George explained.“Commander, you can’t go alone.” Gavi certainly couldn’t let his superior take on the danger by himself.“Commander, it’s better if I’m the one who goes to find the ingredients in that dangerous place; you’re needed much more here. I’m worried something might happen to you,” said Gavi.“No, Gavi, I do

The orphanage director bowed his head. It wasn’t the first time George had helped this orphanage; he was practically a major donor there, providing money, food, clothing, and other supplies almost every month. Usually, when George was very busy, Gavi or Liam would take over the task of delivering aid to the orphanage.Only this time had George assigned the task to an ordinary subordinate—without his supervision.“Let’s investigate this matter together; I will take full responsibility. Whether this is my fault or not, I will still help the victims,” George said firmly.Actually, George had already suspected this problem would inevitably arise; he had intentionally made sure the bald man focused solely on the fact that he was buying a lot of food for the orphanage, without realizing that he had been aiding a village located in that damned president’s territory.“Alright. Let’s investigate this together. I’ll gather some of the staff who weren’t poisoned so they can provide an explanatio

The village chief and several villagers immediately approached George with worried expressions.“Commander, do you have an urgent matter? You’re free to leave. It seems many villagers here have already recovered, and conditions here are much better now. Don’t let that man tarnish your reputation if you stay here,” said the village chief.George gave a faint smile, as the village chief here was very understanding and wise. He was quite impressed with the leader of this village.“Thank you. But it seems only my assistant and I will be leaving. The rest of the team has been assigned to stay here, as many villagers are still sick and the situation isn’t yet stable,” replied George.“Thank you, Commander. You’re still concerned about this village, even though you have issues of your own to handle,” said the village chief’s wife.“It’s fine. They just want to tarnish my reputation; it’s not a big deal. They don’t have strong evidence to bring me down,” said George.George still looked very
