Chapter 6

The Nine Dragons Pavilion stood proudly at the center of Cloud City. Golden lights illuminated the massive black-and-gold building while luxury vehicles continuously flowed in and out of the grand entrance. Numerous luxurious cars worth millions filled the driveway, making the entire place look more like a gathering point for royalty than a simple hotel. Nine enormous marble dragon statues coiled around the towering exterior pillars, radiating pure majesty and overwhelming wealth.

Amelia and Lisa stood near the entrance as they took in the spectacular sight. Even someone as composed as Amelia could not help but feel slightly restrained by the overwhelming luxury surrounding them on all sides.

“This place is even more luxurious than I imagined,” Lisa muttered while looking around with clear excitement in her eyes.

Amelia’s gaze swept across the magnificent building. The Nine Dragons Pavilion was the most prestigious hotel in Cloud City and served as a true symbol of status. Ordinary wealthy people were not even qualified to reserve seats here on normal days.

At that moment, the roar of a powerful engine suddenly echoed across the driveway, and a red Lamborghini Revuelto shot toward the entrance before stopping smoothly right in front of them. A tall, handsome young man stepped out, wearing a dark wine-red suit tailored perfectly around his lean figure. An expensive watch glittered on his wrist under the lights.

The handsome man was none other than Cameron Vance.

Lisa’s eyes lit up immediately with admiration.

“Cameron!”

Cameron smiled confidently as he walked over with steady steps. “Sorry for the wait. I had to attend to some issues at the company.”

“It’s fine! We know how busy you are,” Lisa’s voice dripped with admiration. Her gaze shifted to the Lamborghini behind him. “Is that your new car? It’s gorgeous! It must have cost a fortune.”

Cameron chuckled casually as if it meant nothing. “I just bought it two days ago. It’s not that expensive. Just a couple million.”

Lisa sucked in a sharp breath of surprise. How could a car that cost millions not be expensive? Only someone as wealthy as Cameron could say such words so lightly.

Cameron only smiled faintly like it was completely insignificant. His gaze then landed on Amelia with clear interest.

“You look beautiful tonight,” he said smoothly.

“Thank you,” Amelia replied calmly without much warmth.

Despite her reserved tone, she could feel the powerful aura Cameron carried naturally. Compared to Trevor’s plain military appearance, Cameron was someone from a completely different world of status and influence.

Cameron gestured elegantly toward the entrance. “Let’s go in.”

The three of them entered the magnificent lobby together. The moment they stepped inside, Lisa gasped in awe.

An enormous crystal chandelier overhead sparkled brilliantly while expensive classical music drifted through the air. The polished marble floor reflected the golden lights beautifully, and elegantly dressed elites moved around the lobby with refined smiles on their faces. It looked less like a hotel and more like a palace built for royalty.

“This place is insane…” Lisa whispered excitedly as she continued looking around in wonder.

Amelia quietly observed everything around her with careful eyes. She had attended many high-end places before, but the Nine Dragons Pavilion was clearly on another level entirely. She kept her composure perfectly, but even she was deeply astonished by the sheer grandeur of the place.

Cameron noticed the subtle change in her expression, and a flicker of satisfaction appeared in his eyes.

Soon, they arrived before a golden elevator, and an attendant respectfully bowed toward Cameron with great deference.

“Good evening, Young Master Vance.”

Cameron nodded calmly before taking out a silver membership card with silver dragon engravings on its surface.

“The third floor,” he ordered smoothly.

Lisa’s eyes immediately widened slightly in surprise.

“The third floor?” Her voice carried unconcealed surprise and excitement.

Cameron smiled faintly as he explained. “The Nine Dragons Pavilion has nine floors. The higher the floor, the higher the status required to enter.”

He glanced upward meaningfully toward the upper levels.

“The first three floors are only accessible to people with silver membership. The fourth to sixth floors are reserved for people with gold membership.”

Lisa looked at him with naked admiration shining in her eyes. “Young Master Vance is really incredible.”

Even Amelia was impressed by the revelation. Her Rose Corporation was quite successful in Cloud City, yet she still did not possess the qualifications to reserve a suite here. Cameron could casually bring guests to the third floor without any issue. The disparity in status could not be more obvious.

“What about the seventh and eighth floors?” Lisa asked curiously, unable to contain her interest.

“Only people with diamond membership are allowed access to those floors. Those floors are reserved exclusively for the top figures in Cloud City,” Cameron answered in a wistful tone.

Lisa’s eyes widened further with awe. “And the ninth floor?”

Cameron laughed softly.

“The Black Dragon Floor?” Even his expression turned extremely respectful when mentioning it. “In the past hundred years, the number of people qualified to enter that floor can supposedly be counted on one hand.”

He lowered his voice dramatically. “I have heard that only people with the legendary Heavenly Dragon Card can set foot onto that floor. The identities of anyone holding that card are not something that we can ever compare to!”

Lisa looked completely dazed by the information.

“Thankfully, I managed to secure us a VIP suite on the third floor tonight,” Cameron added casually, clearly proud of his achievement.

"Cameron, you're incredible! Do you know how many people would kill just to eat here once?" Lisa gushed with open admiration.

Cameron waved his hand modestly, but the smugness in his eyes was impossible to hide.

"It's nothing serious."

Amelia remained silent, but she was quietly impressed. The ability to reserve a VIP suite at the Nine Dragons Pavilion was not something to dismiss lightly.

At the very least, Cameron was far better than that scoundrel her grandfather wanted her to marry.

Amelia unconsciously gnashed her teeth at the thought of Trevor, but she forced herself to calm down and focus on the present.

She would enjoy herself tonight and push all unnecessary thoughts aside for now.

However, before they entered the elevator, Amelia suddenly noticed something strange happening around them.

The entire hotel lobby seemed unusually busy and was bustling with frantic activity. Staff members moved quickly through the lobby while managers personally supervised preparations everywhere. Several luxurious flower arrangements were being carried inside, security personnel stood far more alert than normal, and even the hotel executives themselves appeared visibly nervous.

Amelia blinked in confusion. “What’s going on?”

Cameron glanced around, then lowered his voice mysteriously.

“I heard that the Nine Dragons Pavilion is expecting a very distinguished guest tonight.”

Lisa leaned in closer with great interest.

“A distinguished guest? What kind of guest would make the Nine Dragons Pavilion this serious?”

Cameron lowered his voice slightly. “I heard the guest was personally invited by Isaac Rutherford himself.”

Amelia and Lisa froze in shock.

Isaac Rutherford?

He was one of the most powerful men in Cloud City! A true giant standing at the peak of the city’s elite society! He could crush the entire Lockwood family with just a single word if he wished!

Anyone personally invited by him would naturally possess an unimaginable identity.

What kind of figure could make someone like Isaac Rutherford act so respectfully?

Lisa looked completely fascinated now.

“Could it be some provincial tycoon?”

Cameron shook his head.

“It’s probably someone even more important. After all, the hotel has never made preparations on this scale before.” His tone was heavy with admiration.

Amelia’s curiosity was quietly stirred as well. Who exactly could command such treatment from the Rutherford Group?

At that moment, amidst the bustling crowd in the lobby, Amelia suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure walking calmly toward the entrance.

Her eyes narrowed instantly. After all, the familiar figure walking towards the entrance was none other than her fiancé, Trevor Helios!
