The Useless Husband

Pouvwa Tech is hosting a limited invite-only relationship party. Not everyone can attend the party. Agatha Philip feels very lucky that she got the invitation of one of the selected hundred people. Her smile was full of joy as she showed her invitation to the clerk at the door.

She became the center of attention from the moment he arrived immediately. Agatha smiled happily. She was used to things like this from long ago. “Agatha!” Someone approached her and that making Agatha prepare to welcome one of her acquaintances.

"Hey, nice to meet you guys at the party."

The girl named Olivia looks smiled to Agatha. “Agatha, I didn't know you were one of the hundred guests invited. I was very surprised when I read your name on the guest list.”

Agatha also smiled. "Yeah, I didn't expect that I was invited to attend this party."

Olivia was still smiling nodding her head with a smile. "I heard that you invited Mr. Victor to your villa a week ago." Mr. Victor is the CEO of Pouvwa Tech and the host of tonight's event.

Agatha's smile faded. "What do you mean?"

Olivia chuckled. She rubbed Agatha's shoulder with a concerned face. “Agatha, I understand your decision. You have a useless husband while Philip corp are experiencing serious financial problems. If I were you, I would also do the same to save my family. Let alone Victor, you might as well be willing to sleep with your father's friend. Am I right?”

"shut up!!" It wasn't Agatha who rebuked Olivia but someone who was behind Agatha in her shabby clothes. That Luke is Agatha's husband. The most useless poor man in all of Puissance.

"Oh, your most useless husband came to defend his wife." Olivia sneered at Luke who looked very shabby and shabby.

"Please Apologise to my wife! You have slandered her."

Olivia burst out laughing. “Pardons? Hey beggar, besides being useless you are also an idiot apparently. How can you still trust your wife?”

Four years ago before she married Luke, Agatha was a beautiful woman who had many friends. She was also respected and no one dared insult her. All of that disappeared after she was forced by her grandfather to marry a man named Luke. A man who doesn't know where he came from. That man was so useless that he troubled Agatha. All her greatness just disappeared. She almost always got Olivia-like treatment ever since she married Luke.

"Because I know my wife is an honorable woman." Luke with his convictions continues to defend his wife. “Honey, don't worry, I still believe in you. I believe you are not that kind of girl. I believe you are very loyal to me.”

Luke wanted to caress his wife's cheek but Agatha immediately brushed it off. “Don't ever touch my skin even a little bit. How many times do I have to say something like that to you?”

"Honey..." Luke's vision dimmed.

"What did you come to this party for, Luke? You obviously weren't invited to this event? Did you infiltrate?” Agatha hissed at her husband with great shame at Luke's behavior.

He smiled. "I came because I couldn't wait to tell you something."

Agatha waved her hand. “Come home! You have no right to be in this place.”

Luke chuckled. "Darling, you should know that nothing can drive me out of this place."

Olivia, who was still near the husband and wife, laughed at Luke's words. “Agatha, everyone says your husband is crazy. I thought it was just a rumor but it turned out to be true.”

“Stop talking nonsense to me. I've had enough of your bullshit for the past four years, Luke. My grandpa says you are very powerful and rich but in reality he was just fooled by your trash mouth. My family and I have endured enough misery with you all these years.”

Luke swallowed his saliva. "Honey, because of that, your suffering will end, dear. Come home with you and see what I have prepared for you.”

Agatha shook her head. “Are you an idiot! I can't go home. I went to great lengths to get an invitation to attend this party.”

“In the end you admit you worked hard to be one of the guests, Agatha. What a pity, you are no different from a beggar.” Olivia insulted Agatha openly. She no longer needed to put on her face pretending to be cute.

"Olivia, you also have no right to say such things to me!" Agatha pointed at Olivia. The woman not only insulted him but also interfered in Luke and Agatha's personal affairs.

Olivia laughed even more. “What can you do with your current position, Agatha? Do you think you still have your dignity anymore? No! Philip's family is not on the same level as the conglomerates in this city.”

Agatha snorted sarcastically. Then she took drinking water not far from there and then splashed it on Olivia's face. Of course Olivia was very surprised as well as all the guests present. They immediately made a circle to be Olivia and Agatha in the middle as the center.

"Did you just water me?"

“I could even rip your mouth out,” Agatha hissed eerily.

“You really have no manners!” Olivia gave Agatha a slap. Agatha did not accept wanting to reply back but was immediately stopped by Victor.

"What fuss did you make at my party?" the man looks very angrily.

"Master Victor, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it." Agatha immediately took the attitude of tidying herself up to look beautiful. “Olivia insulted me the first time. I'm just defending myself."

“I state the truth. Everyone knows your family is heavily in debt, Agatha. Your presence at this party is sure to ask for the help of one or several of us. Am I wrong to call you a beggar?” Olivia was not to be outdone. She also felt humiliated by Agatha who splashed her body just like that. it was an expensive outfit that Olivia had purposely made for tonight.

"Enough! Agatha, you left my party and you took your damn husband with you! Poor people like you really can't be given a chance.”

Agatha gaped at Master Victor's words. “Sir, how could you throw me away like that? You promised to help me."

Victor snorted lightly. “After you made a scene at my party? Don't you know that you just humiliated Olivia. She's one of the nobles as well as a wealthy family in this city but you dare to touch her. Say Agatha! How can I forgive your insolence that time?”

Agatha knelt before Victor. "Please give me another chance, sir!"

Victor bent down to level with Agatha who was kneeling. He lifted Agatha's chin making them cross eyes. Victor rubbed Agatha's cheek with his thumb. "Giving you a second chance huh?" Victor frowned considering Agatha's request. He then glanced at Olivia.
