The ten burly men closed in with a few steps and struck all at unison.

They were fast but Elijah Langston was faster.

He only took a step forward and his fingers moved faster than lightning, jabbing the acupoint below the armpits of the men.

In unison, they collapsed on the floor like a sack of bricks and were no longer responsive.

These were fully grown men who were twice his own size.

Men who have broken the bones of a lot of intruders and can take on a group each.

How could they suddenly go down in the blink of an eye?

Tyler was horrified but he wasn't ready to lose yet or allow this.

Swish!

Elijah had swiped his finger.

"Gu--" Tyler barely called out when a sharp glint of metal cutting through the air stabbed into the side of his chair, only an inch from his throat.

His eyes strained to the side to see the sharp reflection of the silver needle end pointing from the chair.

He gulped.

"Tyler Blackwood... In the absence of your Father, you have taken responsibility for this household to showcase your wickedness. Isn't it right for retribution to start with you?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? Who do you think you are to come here and spout rubbish? Do you know who my father is?" Tyler wasn't going to accept defeat now.

Who is this man?

If not for the warning needle that struck his chair just now, he would have called in more guards.

If a hundred Blackwood guards come here, this brazen fool will surely not survive.

"Of course, I know your father. Theo Blackwood, the blood of the innocent on his hands..." Elijah swiftly pulled the silver needle from the wood, "Everything he has gained since he betrayed my family, I'll take away. I just need a confirmation first"

Tyler started to laugh, "Do you know my family backing? You can die trying. You are just a nobody who can do a small thing with needles. Who do you think you are!?"

Elijah flicked the bottom of the silver needle, "I'm the one who brings the justice you all deserve. Elijah Langston, remember my name in 24 hours... If the Blackwoods are truly involved, you'll see me again"

Tyler's eyes widened in shock, "What the f..."

He didn't even finish comprehending the realization when the silver needle was stabbed straight into his throat.

The lights in his eyes went out.

"Mother... Father....Brothers.... The work has started," Elijah whispered solemnly and walked towards Mia, who was shivering in shock.

"Young Master, you killed him?"

Elijah waved dismissively, "Not yet. Death is mercy from retribution. Come..."

His fingers clasped the metal collar around her neck and with one pull, it snapped into pieces.

The clattering noise echoed inside the great hall.

"Young Master, we must leave immediately," Mia grabbed his hand and pulled him quickly towards the entrance.

The maids who were watching from the side ran quickly to the scene and began to shake Tyler's body.

"Young Master! Young Master!"

His eyes suddenly opened wide and he stared strangely at them.

"Young Master, you are alive, we feared that--"

Bark! Bark! Bark!

Tyler snapped at them and leapt from his seat to the ground.

He continued to bark and even attempted to bite the maid who tried to get close to him.

"Quick, call the family doctor. The young master has become like a mad dog!"

Meanwhile, at a distance, Mia didn't stop pulling Elijah with her until they were far out of the reach of the Blackwood.

She was out of breath and struggling to stand while Elijah stood beside her barely breaking a sweat.

"Little Mia, if you keep being silly like this, then I might not be able to defend you when others call you silly," He said jokingly with a small smile on his face.

Back then, he never had a sister of his own so little Mia was the one he would get to play around with.

She was very silly and would always get them into trouble.

"Young Master, how can I allow them to kill you when you just returned? I'll die of guilt" She pouted as though he had wronged her.

"They can't kill me, Mia"

"Hmph! You say this but you didn't come with an army. Every night, I dream of you coming with an army to defeat the Blackwood." She slowly let down her head, but winced because of the old injuries around her neck.

Elijah swiped his sleeve in her direction and she winced again.

Five silver needles had pierced around her neck accurately.

She felt scared at first but said quickly, "How did you do that?"

He stood next to her, flicking the tail of needles around her neck, "I might have picked up a few skills over the years"

"Still feeling pain?"

Mia slowly tilted her head in several directions and was surprised to notice that she no longer felt the slightest pain.

Even her bones and muscles that felt weak had been rejuvenated.

She felt strong now and it didn't feel like she had been tortured for the past fifteen years.

"Young Master, you became a Doctor?" She demanded in excitement.

"I just know a few things about medicine. Come, I'll take you home" He put his hand around the shoulder of the young girl, leading her away with him.

"Home? You mean the m--mansion" Mia stammered with a hint of confusion in her eyes.

"Yes, but now that I think about it, you might be alone there" Elijah was referring to his family's mansion from fifteen years ago.

The Langston Mansion at that time was the greatest structure ever built in Brooklyn Heights.

"Young Master, it seems you haven't been home yet" She whispered with a sad expression.

Elijah felt guilty about this too.

He was supposed to return to his family's place of death the previous night but had bumped into that beautiful woman with porcelain skin.

"We'll just go there together and pay our respect, Mia. We owe it to them"

"Let's not go!" She said sharply, pulling Elijah back.

He noticed the nervousness in her eyes and asked, "Why are you afraid?"

"You might not know Young Master but the Wexler Family has taken your Langston's family mansion as their own, they own that territory now"

Elijah clenched his fist into a ball.

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn Heights, far beyond Galecrest of East Sorevia...An Audi S8 rolled into the parking area of a towering corporate building along one of the busiest commercial streets in the South District before coming to a stop.Serena DiLaurentis stepped out from the driver's seat with Secretary Lisa following from the opposite side, and both women instinctively raised their heads towards the structure before them.TrustMed Pharmaceuticals. The newly established company had chosen its headquarters well. The high-rise stood prominently among the surrounding corporate buildings, with a modern glass exterior and an architectural design. For a company that had only formally announced its presence in Brooklyn Heights days earlier, everything about the headquarters suggested that TrustMed had been preparing for this moment long before the public ever heard its name.Serena stared at the building for several seconds before tightening her grip around the purse at her side.“Lisa, thi

Before Elijah could process the answer, Mother swung her arm and sent him flying through the mountain opening with almost insulting ease. His body struck the steep passage beyond it and immediately slid down the rocky slope. He twisted several times along the way, using one arm to protect himself while refusing to release the wooden staff from the other.By the time he finally reached the bottom, pain had spread through half his body.“Mister Elijah!” Iris hurried towards him and caught his arm before he could collapse completely.Elijah leaned against both her and the staff as she helped him onto his good leg. He raised his head to examine where Mother had thrown him through. The others had already gathered inside what appeared to be a natural cavern. Before them, the passage climbed steeply towards the opening above, with a rough stairway carved directly into the rock and disappearing all the way back towards the basin above.<

Lucius halted in midair and slowly turned towards the mountain entrance.“Hmph! If Master Nightbane is supposed to represent the standard of your Order, then there is even less to admire.” Elijah didn't stop.Something in Lucius’s expression shifted at the mention of that name, but Elijah continued before he could respond.“To think he went so far as to establish a personal sect of his own while serving as a high-ranking member of the Hall. What did he call it again?”A mocking smile tugged at Elijah’s lips. “The Venom Scripture.”By then, Lucius had turned completely towards him.“And after all that, he still ended up playing fetch dog for the Lancasters.”“What did you just say?” The question came quietly, but the danger behind it was unmistakable. From that reaction alone, Elijah knew he had spoken of something that was never meant to become public information. His smile only widened. “I’m saying Nig

“Mother…” several disciples called almost together.Rowan tightened her grip around what remained of her damaged sword and stepped forward.“My Sisters and I can remain with you. If we combine our strength, we can help you put this Grandmaster in his place.”Mother gave a slight shake of her head. “Have you forgotten everything I taught you about height?”Rowan had no answer.“The difference between realms. If you remain here, I will spend more effort protecting you than fighting him.”The firmness in her words left no room for further argument.Without turning around, Mother called, “Elijah.”His attention immediately focused on her.“I am trusting you to lead them through whatever lies beyond that entrance. If you do not find what you seek inside, my promise to you remains unchanged.”Elijah stared at her back without responding.“Rowan.”The eldest senior sister straightene
