The ten burly men closed in with a few steps and struck all at unison.
They were fast but Elijah Langston was faster. He only took a step forward and his fingers moved faster than lightning, jabbing the acupoint below the armpits of the men. In unison, they collapsed on the floor like a sack of bricks and were no longer responsive. These were fully grown men who were twice his own size. Men who have broken the bones of a lot of intruders and can take on a group each. How could they suddenly go down in the blink of an eye? Tyler was horrified but he wasn't ready to lose yet or allow this. Swish! Elijah had swiped his finger. "Gu--" Tyler barely called out when a sharp glint of metal cutting through the air stabbed into the side of his chair, only an inch from his throat. His eyes strained to the side to see the sharp reflection of the silver needle end pointing from the chair. He gulped. "Tyler Blackwood... In the absence of your Father, you have taken responsibility for this household to showcase your wickedness. Isn't it right for retribution to start with you?" "What nonsense are you talking about? Who do you think you are to come here and spout rubbish? Do you know who my father is?" Tyler wasn't going to accept defeat now. Who is this man? If not for the warning needle that struck his chair just now, he would have called in more guards. If a hundred Blackwood guards come here, this brazen fool will surely not survive. "Of course, I know your father. Theo Blackwood, the blood of the innocent on his hands..." Elijah swiftly pulled the silver needle from the wood, "Everything he has gained since he betrayed my family, I'll take away. I just need a confirmation first" Tyler started to laugh, "Do you know my family backing? You can die trying. You are just a nobody who can do a small thing with needles. Who do you think you are!?" Elijah flicked the bottom of the silver needle, "I'm the one who brings the justice you all deserve. Elijah Langston, remember my name in 24 hours... If the Blackwoods are truly involved, you'll see me again" Tyler's eyes widened in shock, "What the f..." He didn't even finish comprehending the realization when the silver needle was stabbed straight into his throat. The lights in his eyes went out. "Mother... Father....Brothers.... The work has started," Elijah whispered solemnly and walked towards Mia, who was shivering in shock. "Young Master, you killed him?" Elijah waved dismissively, "Not yet. Death is mercy from retribution. Come..." His fingers clasped the metal collar around her neck and with one pull, it snapped into pieces. The clattering noise echoed inside the great hall. "Young Master, we must leave immediately," Mia grabbed his hand and pulled him quickly towards the entrance. The maids who were watching from the side ran quickly to the scene and began to shake Tyler's body. "Young Master! Young Master!" His eyes suddenly opened wide and he stared strangely at them. "Young Master, you are alive, we feared that--" Bark! Bark! Bark! Tyler snapped at them and leapt from his seat to the ground. He continued to bark and even attempted to bite the maid who tried to get close to him. "Quick, call the family doctor. The young master has become like a mad dog!" Meanwhile, at a distance, Mia didn't stop pulling Elijah with her until they were far out of the reach of the Blackwood. She was out of breath and struggling to stand while Elijah stood beside her barely breaking a sweat. "Little Mia, if you keep being silly like this, then I might not be able to defend you when others call you silly," He said jokingly with a small smile on his face. Back then, he never had a sister of his own so little Mia was the one he would get to play around with. She was very silly and would always get them into trouble. "Young Master, how can I allow them to kill you when you just returned? I'll die of guilt" She pouted as though he had wronged her. "They can't kill me, Mia" "Hmph! You say this but you didn't come with an army. Every night, I dream of you coming with an army to defeat the Blackwood." She slowly let down her head, but winced because of the old injuries around her neck. Elijah swiped his sleeve in her direction and she winced again. Five silver needles had pierced around her neck accurately. She felt scared at first but said quickly, "How did you do that?" He stood next to her, flicking the tail of needles around her neck, "I might have picked up a few skills over the years" "Still feeling pain?" Mia slowly tilted her head in several directions and was surprised to notice that she no longer felt the slightest pain. Even her bones and muscles that felt weak had been rejuvenated. She felt strong now and it didn't feel like she had been tortured for the past fifteen years. "Young Master, you became a Doctor?" She demanded in excitement. "I just know a few things about medicine. Come, I'll take you home" He put his hand around the shoulder of the young girl, leading her away with him. "Home? You mean the m--mansion" Mia stammered with a hint of confusion in her eyes. "Yes, but now that I think about it, you might be alone there" Elijah was referring to his family's mansion from fifteen years ago. The Langston Mansion at that time was the greatest structure ever built in Brooklyn Heights. "Young Master, it seems you haven't been home yet" She whispered with a sad expression. Elijah felt guilty about this too. He was supposed to return to his family's place of death the previous night but had bumped into that beautiful woman with porcelain skin. "We'll just go there together and pay our respect, Mia. We owe it to them" "Let's not go!" She said sharply, pulling Elijah back. He noticed the nervousness in her eyes and asked, "Why are you afraid?" "You might not know Young Master but the Wexler Family has taken your Langston's family mansion as their own, they own that territory now" Elijah clenched his fist into a ball.Latest Chapter
Chapter 374
The Great Hall descended into pure chaos as the remaining disciples of the Iron Crescent Sword Sect completely lost their minds to bloodlust.Dozens of razor-sharp blades formed a suffocating, inescapable net of steel, all descending upon Elijah Langston at the exact same time. They attacked like a pack of starving wolves, abandoning all defensive forms in favor of sheer, overwhelming violence. Swords slashed horizontally toward his neck, thrust forward aiming to pierce his heart, and swept low to sever his legs. The air was filled with the terrifying whoosh of cutting steel and the maddened roars of men seeking to avenge their fallen Branch Leader. A coordinated strike designed to chop a man into a hundred unrecognizable pieces in the span of a single breath.“Damn it! Fall back or you’ll get caught in the crossfire!” one of the gunmen positioned at the rear of the hall cursed with a loud, frustrated voice. The mercenaries all had their military-grade assault rifles raised and saf

The result of the violent sword technique was blinding: Elijah Langston was completely enveloped in a barrage of glowing crescent lights.Explosive noise ripped up into the air, filling the entire room with a deafening noise of shattering marble and splintering wood, and leaving everyone in the Great Hall stunned by the destructive result. The disciples of the Iron Crescent Sword Sect couldn’t help but gloat upon seeing what had just happened.“He didn’t even stand a chance. All it took was a single technique attack from Branch Leader Marco!”“Hmph! Can any outsider stand a chance against our sect’s special Golden Crescent Annihilation technique? He’ll be lucky if there’s anything left of his body to scrape off the floor tonight.”“So, this is the guy who’s giving people trouble under the name Insolent Expert? Even I would be able to handle him. He doesn’t even come close to Leader Marco. True strength doesn’t lie in sneak attacks and running the mouth!”They all said this while looki
Chapter 372
Unlike the deceased Mathias, who had tried to close the gap before executing his strike, Marco was on an entirely different level of mastery. As his body tore through the air, so did the heavy sword in his hand. He began swiping and slashing in a series of complex, bending arc movements while still in mid-air.What followed each devastating strike was a terrifying outburst of pure internal energy erupting from the blade. It perfectly followed the arc shape of his sword movements, manifesting as blinding, yellow crescent waves that glowed with a lethal luminescence. The energy blades were moving far too fast to be easily tracked by the naked eyes of an ordinary person. These various crescent energy waves tore through the air with a dangerous, explosive force. They collided with the massive, oak table situated at the center of the room, cleanly slicing through the thick, centuries-old wood as if it were wet tissue paper. Unimpeded, the glowing arcs headed straight for Elijah, who stoo
Chapter 371
Elijah Langston looked down at the discarded steel resting near his shoes. He didn’t flinch, or even scramble for the weapon. He simply raised his head, a faint, mocking smile playing on his lips as he looked Marco dead in the eyes.“You rehearsed that in front of a mirror, didn’t you?” Elijah asked, his tone dripping with patronizing amusement. “Be honest. We won’t let a word of this outside of here, right, guys?”He casually gestured toward the wall of heavily armed hostiles standing in front of him, treating them like an audience at a bad comedy show.Marco’s eyes turned a violent, bloodshot red, completely abandoning whatever composure he had left. His grip tightened around the hilt of his broadsword until his knuckles popped, the razor-sharp tip pointing directly at Elijah’s chest. “You!? Do you think your sharp tongue can save you tonight? Do you think I’ll turn my back and allow you to sneak-attack me? Hmph! That’s not happening.”The tactical mercenaries were losing their pati
Chapter 370
The moment the name “Elijah Langston” left Marco’s trembling lips, the atmosphere in the Great Hall changed. The sect members who hadn’t yet drawn their weapons scrambled backward, the sharp shing of steel ringing out in a panicked chorus as they took up desperate defensive stances. Behind them, the tactical mercenaries clicked the safeties off their military-grade assault rifles.Dozens of black muzzles and gleaming sword tips locked directly onto the young man standing by the throne. They had not expected Senior Mathias’s gruesome, effortless death a moment ago. But now, they realized their fatal error. This wasn’t a homeless squatter or a confused street rat—this was the Insolent Expert, the one they had been sent to butcher. Yet, looking at him… was he really this young? Was this casually dressed twenty-something really the nightmare currently causing trouble for the great families of Brooklyn Heights?“Insolent Expert? I find that title rather offensive,” Elijah noted, his tone
Chapter 369
The group of sect members hailed him with exaggerated praise. They all leaned forward in eager anticipation, because the Phantom Five-Strike Severance was a legendary move that only a few senior disciples of the Iron Crescent Sword, in all of Sorevia had perfected. It was said to be capable of slicing a thick bamboo stalk into five equal parts in the blink of an eye. Now, they were going to witness it used on a real human being.“Watch and learn, you inexperienced juniors! I won’t repeat myself!” Mathias warned, his gaze narrowing into focus. With a sharp exhale, Mathias leaned forward, and his body practically vanished. He tore through the air at a terrifying, explosive speed that only his fellow sect members were trained enough to track. To the gunmen in the back, he appeared to simply vanish. In one second, Mathias was standing with the group; in the next, he had arrived directly in front of the golden throne where the young man was still seated, entirely engrossed in his writing.
