CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX Lucian couldn’t withstand the pain which he had already forgotten about until his sister jumped on him, causing his injuries to remind him that he had been in several fights in a very short time.“Are you okay? What’s wrong?” Lena asked as she jumped down from her brother's body, looking at him while she held onto her torch.“I am fine, Lena. It’s nothing.”“No, you are not. He looked around just like him, and when he didn’t find any trace of the old man, he sighed softly before looking at Lady Seraphina’s pale face with so much sadness and anger written all over his.“What did he tell you to convince you to do his bidding? You would never hurt anyone intentionally, I am sure of that.” General Hector said with a whisper, looking at Lady Seraphina as though he was expecting to get a response from her.“I think we have to go after him, Ian. There is no way he must have gone far, he has to suffer for his crimes! He caused her death.” General Hector returned his gaze to Lucian who was looking at a particular spot on the floor.“What is it, Ian?” The General asked at once, but Lucian wasn’t paying attention to any other thing other than the spot where his eyes were gazing.“I think I saw something.” Lucian said with a whisper just

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO Suddenly, Lady Seraphina felt a sharp pain in her belly, and when she looked at it to see that she had been stabbed and bleeding profusely, she gasped.As vitality left her, she dropped her dagger to the ground while she started to cough out blood from her mouth causing it to trickle down to the ground.“I am sorry, Seraphina.” General Hector said with a shaky voice, but it was already too late for any other thing to be done.Lady Seraphina grabbed the sword with both hands and dragged it out of her belly while the General let go of it, allowing it to fall to the ground just before he caught Lady Seraphina with both hands.“I am sorry, Seraphina. I didn’t mean to.” General Hector went down on one knee while he carried the lady with both hands, struggling not to let go of the tears that were gathered around his eyes.“Hector?
