Inside his room, Jeremiah locked eyes with Jessica, who was surprised to see him, then he saw her try to get David and their grandfather to look up at him.

Satisfied with what he had seen, Jeremiah closed the window, dropped the drapes, and stepped back, which made David and their grandfather to only see a closed window when they looked up.

From his room, Jeremiah heard David patronizing and ridiculing Jessica for acting like she saw something when she didn’t and he chuckled at how funny the two sibling’s dynamic was.

For someone like David, who acted like he was above everyone just because he was royalty, to not be respected by his younger sister was funny to witness.

Jeremiah did a little stretching to free up his joints then he became ready to tackle his day.

He was about to go to the bathroom to freshen up when he heard a knock on the door and he grimaced, wondering who it could be.

“Who is that?” Jeremiah asked.

“Young Master, it’s Christabel” she replied and Jeremiah groaned

Inside Reginald’s study. While David and his grandfather sat opposite Reginald and were engaged in a lighthearted discussion, Jessica, appearing bored and uninterested in what was being said, sat on the desk with her legs crossed and idly played with the items on it.She flipped through the edge of documents on the desk with her thumb, moved the pen around with her finger, and hummed the melody of whatever song popped into her head.Annoyed by her actions, David—who also didn’t want to be there but felt obligated to behave—kicked the desk discreetly, ensuring only Jessica would notice.Jessica paused what she was doing and glanced at David, who subtly signaled her to behave through his expression. She then rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue in response. She folded all her fingers except the middle one, then glanced down at it, prompting David to do the same. That’s when he realized she was telling him to go fuck himself.Jessica chuckled then continued moving the pen with the midd

With his eyes closed, Jeremiah heard Obadiah recite the spell to test his magic but felt nothing for a whole minute which made him wonder if it was even going to work. The shaman did say that he had only used the spell on humans so could it be that it was ineffective when used on him, the reincarnation of Lord Crimson? Jeremiah was starting to second guess the whole thing when, to his surprise, he started feeling something in his core which was strange because until that moment he didn’t even know he had a core. But, because of what Obadiah was doing, it became too noticeable to ignore. It was a warm feeling that made his fingers tingle and skin sensitive to every stimulus, which said a lot because his senses were already heightened to an insane level before they started the spell.Next thing Jeremiah knew, he stopped hearing what Obadiah was saying as it went from coherent recitation to mumbling to a muffled mess and lastly to silence. Everything happened in the span of a second a

“Flames of consumption? What’s that?” Jeremiah asked. “Truthfully, I don’t know that much about it as the only information I have is what I was able to eavesdrop from Dark Emblem’s communication channel before they made doing that near impossible to achieve,” Obadiah said and Jeremiah groaned.“Then according to the little you do know, what is it?” Jeremiah asked. “Well, it is what the name implies. Instead of flames that burn whatever they engulf, the flames of consumption absorb the energy of whatever they touch. The way oxygen is what determines the intensity and duration of a fire, the energy of whatever is being consumed is what fuels the flames of consumption and since the energy of a plant is what makes look healthy, it becoming dried and withering is the result of losing it” Obadiah said.Jeremiah grimaced and groaned in frustration as yet another question arose after hearing the explanation.“But how did this happen? I thought you were just testing my magic to figure out ho

This was the first time since their encounter the afternoon of the previous day that they were meeting Jeremiah again and after how bad last time went, they could only be fearful of what would happen. Also, finding out that Jeremiah was the one who caught Desmond and beat him so bad he had to be hospitalized, the rest of David’s friends couldn’t help but be terrified that he was a violent maniac who could lash out at them at any moment. “Y-young master” Benson stuttered as he and all of David’s friends bowed their heads to Jeremiah. “Looks like you’re all leaving. What about David?” Jeremiah said and they all nodded, unable to maintain eye contact. “D-David would be staying back because his sister and grandfather came to visit, Y-young Master” Benson answered. Jeremiah groaned, already tired of how they were behaving towards him. The only ones who acted normal were Kristin and Brenda who couldn’t stop smiling as they looked at Jeremiah. “Good morning, young master” Brenda

As Jeremiah headed to his room and was just about to climb the stairs, he saw David and his grandfather standing at the top of the stairs with their backs turned to him. He grimaced, wondering why they were standing there motionless. Then he realized the reason—they weren’t alone. Someone else was with them, hidden behind the two men’s imposing figures. From where he stood, Jeremiah could only see the third person’s legs and part of their clothing, making it difficult to identify them at first. However, with those small details, he was able to figure out who it was. “What did you just say to me?” David asked, a tinge of disgust in his tone. It wouldn’t take a genius to know that he felt disrespected by whatever she just said to him, but the question you now is; what exactly did she say? Christabel gulped, her eyes blinking multiple times to emphasize her nerves. “I-I said that I apologize but I won’t be able to carry out the task you gave as I obey a new master now,” Chris

“Who the hell are you?” David’s grandfather asked aggressively. Jeremiah looked at the elderly man from head to toe and scoffed. If there was one thing he despised more than anything, it was people using their authority and power to bully those they perceived as weaker. His second greatest dislike was elderly people failing to act their age.In Jeremiah’s mind, the elderly should be kind and patient with the younger generation, teaching them wisdom instead of throwing insults and abusing them but here was David’s grandfather who was doing the exact opposite. What made it even worse was that, as a relative of the king, David’s grandfather’s behavior tarnished Reginald’s reputation. And as Reginald’s son, Jeremiah wasn’t about to let that happen—especially not to his new personal maid.“Grandfather, I think you should—” David said, trying to get his grandfather to calm down, but the elderly man was too focused on Jeremiah to care for anything he had to say. “How dare you look me in t

Bruce was so loud that even Brenda and Kristin, who were outside waiting for their driver to take them back to school, came into the castle to find out what was going on. “Young master Jeremiah?” Kristin said softly, wondering what Jeremiah was doing with David and an elderly man at the top of the stairs.Just like everyone else who was watching, the two girls wondered why it looked like the elderly man and Jeremiah were in a fight with the way their hands were.Kristin tried to get closer, wanting to make sure Jeremiah was okay but Brenda quickly held her back.“Where do you think you’re going?” Brenda asked, staring confusedly at her best friend. “I was just…” Kristin said but Brenda cut her off.“Can’t you see David up there too? Something tells me that the old guy is related to him and young master Jeremiah which means he’s related to the king so are you sure you still want to take yourself up there?” Brenda asked.Kristin looked at the scene again and realized that Brenda was r

After realizing the truth, Bruce started contemplating how to get out of the mess he had put himself into.If only he had listened to David, who had tried multiple times to warn him, none of this would have happened. His stubbornness and ego had unsurprisingly turned out to be a great detriment. “S-so what my grandson said about you is true and you are…” Bruce said and Jeremiah’s cold gaze sent chills down his spine which was all the answer he needed. “What have I done?” Bruce mumbled and started trembling. All the years Bruce had spent trying to stay on Reginald’s good side could come crashing down because of what he had done, and if that happened, he would have no one to blame but himself.Seeing how much trouble his grandfather was in, David, who didn’t want to anger Jeremiah more still felt the need to help but how can he go about doing that? This was truly a tough situation. “Cousin, can you just let this go just this once? Grandpa made a mistake and—“ David said but quickly

One week later, Jeremiah leaned back against a cherry-red and gold Bugatti Veyron, the glint of the city lights dancing along its sleek curves. His tailored obsidian suit clung perfectly to his frame, his silver tie fluttering slightly in the evening breeze. The engine purred beneath the hood like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He glanced at the time on his wristwatch, a sly smile creeping across his face as the apartment door opened. He looked up.And there she was.Victoria emerged in a stunning midnight-blue dress that shimmered with every step. Her curls bounced as she descended the stairs, and Jeremiah couldn’t help but admire the moment like it was a scene from a movie.“Hurry up, we’re going to be late,” he said, a playful edge in his voice.“I’m coming!” she replied, hurrying her pace before she reached him—and planted a kiss on his lips that made the world pause for a second.“When’s he popping the question again?” she asked, at the same time telling him that maybe he was r

“The Leader?” Jeremiah asked with a grimace, the name tasting like ash on his tongue.“That’s right,” the being declared, his voice echoing like a god’s judgment through the twisted air. “I *am* the Leader—and this is my dimension. Here, I rule as supreme.”Jeremiah’s eyes narrowed. “And that name you called me—Bazar’q Omàrin? Why?”The Leader tilted his head slightly, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. “Because that is your name. Not this watered-down nonsense—Crimson, Jeremiah—names handed to you by humans who never knew your truth. You were Bazar’q Omàrin, once the high sovereign of the mighty Oxyl Dimension... until it all turned to ash.”Jeremiah’s fists clenched as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. “And how do you know that? How do you know *me*?”The Leader's grin stretched, eyes flickering with malevolence. “Because, you banished me to hell!”With that roar of hatred, he surged forward in a blur, his fist crashing into Jeremiah’s ribs with the force of a meteor. ‘Where is he? The one who started all of this?’ Jeremiah’s thoughts were a storm as he tore through the sky in a vicious, high-speed duel against the nine-winged skeletal wyvern. His golden eyes flicked through the blood-red horizon, desperate to catch even a glimpse of Grey Lucian. Since the chaos began, Grey had vanished—eerily absent. The longer Jeremiah failed to find him, the more unease spread like rot in his gut.But the demonic wyvern wasn’t giving him the luxury of distraction.Every flap of the beast’s bony, mana-wrought wings whipped up cyclones of cursed wind. Each strike came fast, lethal, and relentless. Dodging them required all of Jeremiah’s focus—there was no room for error, no space to think about Grey, or even the cultists scattered across the battlefield, who were clearly summoning something catastrophic. The thick, malevolent mana surging from their positions felt like an omen of ruin. For just one heartbeat, Jeremiah’s mind slipped—and it was one too many. The w

The battlefield plunged into eerie silence. Even the screaming winds beneath the dome seemed to hold their breath.Jeremiah stood at the center of it all, his dragonoid form casting a monumental silhouette against the warped sky. His scales shimmered with hues of black, red, and gold, glowing like molten metal in the dome’s unnatural twilight. Wings unfurled behind him like the banners of a god of war, stretching high and wide, stirring the air with every twitch.Mages, scattered across the estate in strategic lines, froze. The resurrection magic that had reanimated their fallen held no expression, no breath—just cold bodies awaiting orders. All of them stared at him, at the beast who had tanked a god-killing spell and still stood.Jeremiah’s molten eyes locked onto the mages who had conjured the lightning-fire hybrid spell. There was no mercy in his gaze. Only retribution. He leapt forward. The impact of his takeoff split the ground behind him, sending fragments of earth skyward and

The sky darkened unnaturally, casting an eerie twilight over the estate. Jeremiah looked up as the last arc of shadow joined with the rest, sealing them inside a massive black dome. It shimmered with power, humming low like a monstrous heartbeat. The siege had begun. He turned to Lynette. “It’s begun.”“Yes,” she said quietly, eyes locked on the sky. “It has.”Jeremiah glanced down at the box in his hand. Obadiah’s head, expression frozen in death, stared back at him. The man had been a teacher, a guide, a rock of wisdom. And now he was gone. Murdered.“I’m sorry this happened to you, teacher,” Jeremiah murmured, his voice a low promise. “But on your behalf, I’ll make those fuckers pay.”With grim reverence, he set the box down. Then he and Lynette walked toward the convoy, where confusion had begun to blossom into panic.A chorus of murmurs rose as everyone saw the sky had changed. The dome wasn’t just a covering — it was alive. Pulsing. Feeding something.“What the hell is this?” th

[“How? The gate is—“] the driver of the first car asked but went silent to his surprise the gate suddenly opened. [“But how?!”] the driver asked in a panic.Jeremiah had used wordless magic to unlock and open the gate.[“Don’t worry about it and just keep driving”] Steven interjected, stopping the driver beside him from thinking too much into what happened.Because this security detail was provided by the city of Bakers View and not of the Garrick Royal estate, they didn’t know about Jeremiah’s real identity as Lord Crimson or that magic existed. That was why Steven stopped the driver beside him from asking questions and just moved things along. [“Okay, Captain”] the driver reluctantly said and then hit the gas, leading the cars into the estate. All the while, the third car which hadn’t been connected through the channel didn’t know what was really going on. Second after second, the cars got closer to Jeremiah’s house and when they got there everything looked perfectly fine, surpr

Jeremiah weighed his options and came to a final decision on which path to take. “We should go back” he declared. “Go back? As in back to the house?” Reginald asked, an intrigued look on his face.“Yes, back to the house” Jeremiah replied matter-of-factly.“Why?” Reginald inquired.“Though I wish you weren’t here, I honestly feel better with you or should I say Lynette by my side rather than elsewhere where y’all can be attacked by who knows how many enemies, and she, for whatever reason, dies because remember, a single temporary death from hers means you’re gone, forever,” Jeremiah said and Reginald groaned as he reflected on every word.“Alright then. I guess we’re going back” Reginald replied. He then looked at the driver and said “Tell the front car that we’re going back to the apartment”“As you wish, Your Majesty” the driver replied, clearly not on board with the decision because he had picked up on signs of there being a problem and would prefer if they left the city— meanin

Well, you’re able to track the other twin if you have your hand on one and know the right spell”]Jeremiah groaned.“You didn’t tell me it could do that,” he said.[“I apologize, young master. It must have skipped my mind”]“Is that so? Alright then. I’ll head back to the house with Dad and everyone else” Jeremiah said.[“That’ll be great, young master. I’ll be waiting for all four of you”] Jeremiah groaned. “Alright then. Bye,” he said and then ended the call. Looking at him, Reginald asked “So we’re going back to your house to speak with the shaman? I wonder what he wants to talk to us about”“Nothing. He doesn’t want to speak to us about anything” Jeremiah said as he stuffed his phone into his pocket while Reginald grimaced.“He doesn’t? How do you know that?” Reginald asked. I came to this city to spend time with Jeremiah and I haven’t even done that. If we travel back so quickly it would mean that this trip was a complete letdown.” She said. Kingston groaned.“So what do you want to do, Lady Lynette?” Kingston asked “Being the young master’s fiancé, you’re just as influential as he is to those who know the truth. So much so that the artificial intelligence back at the house obeyed your instruction when it wouldn’t have for anyone else besides the young master” Lynette groaned, reflecting on Kingston’s question that asked her what she wanted to do.“Since you’ve already linked yourself and Master Reginald together, you’ve basically protected him from all forms of harm for the next thirty-nine years, so you don’t have to follow us back home if you don’t want to.
