“What the hell is this? A Rubix cube? Was whoever gave this even trying?” The presenter said to himself, then he turned to his assistant and asked “Do you know whose gift this is?”

Looking at the Rubix cube, the assistant, who didn’t know who dropped it in the pile of gifts, shrugged.

“Does whoever gave this want the king to waste his time fixing it and matching the colors? I’m confused. What’s the point of this?” The presenter said, a disappointed look on his face.

He looked inside the open gift box for something… anything that would let him know who the giver was, but there was nothing.

He even turned the box upside down and shook it, hoping that a piece of paper or something to help identify the giver would fall out, but still nothing.

“So the giver of this didn’t leave anything to tell us their identity? Strange,” the presenter scratched his head with the head of the microphone and then faced the crowd.

He put the microphone to his mouth and said “Excuse me, but did anyone drop

What the hell is this?!” The presenter said, panicked. All the guests who also saw the Rubix cube in the presenter’s hand vibrate like crazy started to become curious and concerned.“What’s going on with that thing?”“Why is it shaking so much?”“Isn’t that a normal Rubix cube?”They all asked as they slowly walked closer to get a better view of what was going on.“Oh my gosh!” The presenter exclaimed again.“What, boss?!” Exclaimed the assistant, startled by the presenter’s sudden outburst.“This thing, it’s getting hotter—“ the presenter said, but was cut off.“Throw it away, right now!” Everyone heard and when they looked at the source of the command, they saw that it was Jeremiah.“What?!” The presenter asked loudly. “That cube, throw it away, right now!” Jeremiah yelled, using his body to cover Reginald, wh

“Ahh!” The guests, who managed to escape the building, screamed at the top of their lungs, fear gripping them as they fled. They wouldn’t stop running until they knew for certain that they were far enough from the explosion to be safe, but considering that none of them understood the type of bomb or what the blast radius of the explosion would be, they decided that they were going to play it safe and keep on running until their legs gave out.“What’s going on?” Brenda asked as she saw the guests running and screaming. “Excuse me, what—” she tried to stop a guest rushing past her, but was ignored as if she were invisible.‘What the hell?’ she thought, a look of frustration crossing her face. ‘For everyone to be running like this… something serious must have happened.’Determined to get answers, Brenda blocked the path of another guest and grabbed the person’s shoulders, giving them no choice but to stop and listen to her.“Tell me what’s going on! Why is everyone running—?” Brenda as

A second before the explosion happened, Jeremiah, who didn’t know if he was going to survive or not, did what anyone in his predicament would do and hardened the front part of his body.Doing that felt instinctively right and it didn’t matter that in normal circumstances, nothing— especially that— would save anyone from a direct bomb blast to the body.Fortunately, this wasn’t normal circumstances and he wasn’t just anyone. He was Lord Crimson. In his arsenal was something that could protect him and save his life, so in a desperate effort to increase his chance of survival, Jeremiah tried to use the magic Reginald had told him that he would be able to use after absorbing enough power from the ring.Jeremiah concentrated like his life depended on it, because it did, desperately trying to use the smallest amount of magic he could create to protect himself. Unfortunately, he wasn’t ready yet, and as such no magic was generated.“Fuck-!” Jeremiah exclaimed and then it happened. The big B

“Son!” Reginald said with widened eyes as he rushed over to Jeremiah who was on the bed. “The bomb! The bomb is about to go off!” Jeremiah exclaimed, his mind still trapped in the memory of seconds before the explosion.“It’s fine, son! The bomb has already gone off and you protected everyone!” Reginald said, holding Jeremiah and trying to comfort him so that he could snap out of it.“It has and everyone is okay?" Jeremiah panted."Yes, son! Everyone survived thanks to you" Reginald replied and Jeremiah finally managed to calm down."Good, son. Relax cause you're fine now" "Where am I?” Jeremiah asked, breathing heavily as he looked around. “You’re in my room, son. I brought you here so that you can get treated after surviving such a massive explosion directly to your body” Reginald said.“I survived that? How's that even possible” Jeremiah asked, looking at Reginald with shock in his eyes. That had to be a miracle because who on earth survives a bomb blast to the face? Nobody that

Let’s go to my Study, and you can tell me every single detail,” Reginald said.“Okay, Master” Reginald nodded.Reginald turned to Jeremiah and said “I’ll be right back, My Lord. Kingston and I are just going to step out for a moment to discuss a few things which shouldn’t take too long—““Why are the two of you leaving?” Jeremiah asked, a dissatisfied expression on his face.“As I said, it is to discuss a few things about—“ Reginald replied, but Jeremiah cut him off.“I know you’re leaving because you want to discuss something important, but my question is why can’t you do it here?” Jeremiah asked. Reginald and Kingston looked at each other for a moment, then they looked at Jeremiah, who had a skeptical expression.“Because this is a sensitive matter and I don’t want to stress you with it, especially now that you have just recovered— or more accura

“The eyes of a dragon? What the hell are you talking about?!” Jeremiah asked, facing Obadiah but his eyes drifted to the side, and looked into the mirror in his hand.He couldn’t deny that what the shaman said made a lot of sense. His eyes no longer had any semblance of what a human’s should be.It now had a slightly elongated, almond shape with slightly raised outer corners that gave it an intense and otherworldly look. The sclera was pitch black, the iris a vibrant and unusual golden hue, and a vertical, slit-like pupil that had a reptilian edge to it.His eyes looked like they could pierce through the soul of whoever was being stared at and it sent chills down the spine of the three in the king’s chamber with Jeremiah. “My Lord, remember what I told you a couple of minutes ago about your body becoming different… better… stronger, after surviving the explosion that should have killed you?” Obadiah said, rubbing his neck and soothing the pain of almost being choked to death.“Yes?”

To Jeremiah, the members of Dark Emblem were no longer humans but demons, and he would have no shred of remorse when dealing with them.He just wanted to find them wherever they were and end them right that second. “My Lord, your eyes,” Reginald said, pointing at Jeremiah’s face.“What?” Jeremiah asked.“You’re losing control, again,” Reginald said, staring at Jeremiah, whose eyes were slowly transforming to their dragon form.“Oh, I’m sorry,” Jeremiah said, then took a breath and calmed down, which not only stopped but also reverted the transformation.Jeremiah looked at Obadiah and asked, “So what exactly did the communication you tapped into tell you about their plans?”Obadiah cleared his throat. “Though it was hard to get clear information because I’m not as strong as I once was, and they are actively stopping me from tapping into their channels, I was able to get information that they were going to infiltrate and retrieve two targets from the ceremony,” Obadiah said and everyo

What’s that—?” Benson mumbled, confused about what was going on but he couldn’t voice them because of where he was and who the people around him were. “Kingston!” Reginald exclaimed, facing the butler. “Yes, master?!” Kingston replied hurriedly. “Every resource and manpower should be put into finding where those Dark Emblem bastards ran off to with David and until we find them, nobody is allowed to travel out of Crimson Fall!” Reginald instructed. “Understood—“ Kingston replied, but was interrupted. “Your Majesty!” Obadiah called, and Reginald turned to him. “I’m sure Dark Emblem has a way of leaving Crimson Fall even if there’s a restriction on all travel routes. One week later, Jeremiah leaned back against a cherry-red and gold Bugatti Veyron, the glint of the city lights dancing along its sleek curves. His tailored obsidian suit clung perfectly to his frame, his silver tie fluttering slightly in the evening breeze. The engine purred beneath the hood like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He glanced at the time on his wristwatch, a sly smile creeping across his face as the apartment door opened. He looked up.And there she was.Victoria emerged in a stunning midnight-blue dress that shimmered with every step. Her curls bounced as she descended the stairs, and Jeremiah couldn’t help but admire the moment like it was a scene from a movie.“Hurry up, we’re going to be late,” he said, a playful edge in his voice.“I’m coming!” she replied, hurrying her pace before she reached him—and planted a kiss on his lips that made the world pause for a second.“When’s he popping the question again?” she asked, at the same time telling him that maybe he was r

“The Leader?” Jeremiah asked with a grimace, the name tasting like ash on his tongue.“That’s right,” the being declared, his voice echoing like a god’s judgment through the twisted air. “I *am* the Leader—and this is my dimension. Here, I rule as supreme.”Jeremiah’s eyes narrowed. “And that name you called me—Bazar’q Omàrin? Why?”The Leader tilted his head slightly, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. “Because that is your name. Not this watered-down nonsense—Crimson, Jeremiah—names handed to you by humans who never knew your truth. You were Bazar’q Omàrin, once the high sovereign of the mighty Oxyl Dimension... until it all turned to ash.”Jeremiah’s fists clenched as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. “And how do you know that? How do you know *me*?”The Leader's grin stretched, eyes flickering with malevolence. “Because, you banished me to hell!”With that roar of hatred, he surged forward in a blur, his fist crashing into Jeremiah’s ribs with the force of a meteor. ‘Where is he? The one who started all of this?’ Jeremiah’s thoughts were a storm as he tore through the sky in a vicious, high-speed duel against the nine-winged skeletal wyvern. His golden eyes flicked through the blood-red horizon, desperate to catch even a glimpse of Grey Lucian. Since the chaos began, Grey had vanished—eerily absent. The longer Jeremiah failed to find him, the more unease spread like rot in his gut.But the demonic wyvern wasn’t giving him the luxury of distraction.Every flap of the beast’s bony, mana-wrought wings whipped up cyclones of cursed wind. Each strike came fast, lethal, and relentless. Dodging them required all of Jeremiah’s focus—there was no room for error, no space to think about Grey, or even the cultists scattered across the battlefield, who were clearly summoning something catastrophic. The thick, malevolent mana surging from their positions felt like an omen of ruin. For just one heartbeat, Jeremiah’s mind slipped—and it was one too many. The w

The battlefield plunged into eerie silence. Even the screaming winds beneath the dome seemed to hold their breath.Jeremiah stood at the center of it all, his dragonoid form casting a monumental silhouette against the warped sky. His scales shimmered with hues of black, red, and gold, glowing like molten metal in the dome’s unnatural twilight. Wings unfurled behind him like the banners of a god of war, stretching high and wide, stirring the air with every twitch.Mages, scattered across the estate in strategic lines, froze. The resurrection magic that had reanimated their fallen held no expression, no breath—just cold bodies awaiting orders. All of them stared at him, at the beast who had tanked a god-killing spell and still stood.Jeremiah’s molten eyes locked onto the mages who had conjured the lightning-fire hybrid spell. There was no mercy in his gaze. Only retribution. He leapt forward. The impact of his takeoff split the ground behind him, sending fragments of earth skyward and

The sky darkened unnaturally, casting an eerie twilight over the estate. Jeremiah looked up as the last arc of shadow joined with the rest, sealing them inside a massive black dome. It shimmered with power, humming low like a monstrous heartbeat. The siege had begun. He turned to Lynette. “It’s begun.”“Yes,” she said quietly, eyes locked on the sky. “It has.”Jeremiah glanced down at the box in his hand. Obadiah’s head, expression frozen in death, stared back at him. The man had been a teacher, a guide, a rock of wisdom. And now he was gone. Murdered.“I’m sorry this happened to you, teacher,” Jeremiah murmured, his voice a low promise. “But on your behalf, I’ll make those fuckers pay.”With grim reverence, he set the box down. Then he and Lynette walked toward the convoy, where confusion had begun to blossom into panic.A chorus of murmurs rose as everyone saw the sky had changed. The dome wasn’t just a covering — it was alive. Pulsing. Feeding something.“What the hell is this?” th

[“But how?!”] the driver asked in a panic.Jeremiah had used wordless magic to unlock and open the gate.[“Don’t worry about it and just keep driving”] Steven interjected, stopping the driver beside him from thinking too much into what happened.Because this security detail was provided by the city of Bakers View and not of the Garrick Royal estate, they didn’t know about Jeremiah’s real identity as Lord Crimson or that magic existed. That was why Steven stopped the driver beside him from asking questions and just moved things along. [“Okay, Captain”] the driver reluctantly said and then hit the gas, leading the cars into the estate. All the while, the third car which hadn’t been connected through the channel didn’t know what was really going on. Second after second, the cars got closer to Jeremiah’s house and when they got there everything looked perfectly fine, surpr

Jeremiah weighed his options and came to a final decision on which path to take. “We should go back” he declared. “Go back? As in back to the house?” Reginald asked, an intrigued look on his face.“Yes, back to the house” Jeremiah replied matter-of-factly.“Why?” Reginald inquired.“Though I wish you weren’t here, I honestly feel better with you or should I say Lynette by my side rather than elsewhere where y’all can be attacked by who knows how many enemies, and she, for whatever reason, dies because remember, a single temporary death from hers means you’re gone, forever,” Jeremiah said and Reginald groaned as he reflected on every word.“Alright then. I guess we’re going back” Reginald replied. He then looked at the driver and said “Tell the front car that we’re going back to the apartment”“As you wish, Your Majesty” the driver replied, clearly not on board with the decision because he had picked up on signs of there being a problem and would prefer if they left the city— meanin

I’ll be waiting for all four of you”] Jeremiah groaned. “Alright then. Bye,” he said and then ended the call. Looking at him, Reginald asked “So we’re going back to your house to speak with the shaman? I wonder what he wants to talk to us about”“Nothing. He doesn’t want to speak to us about anything” Jeremiah said as he stuffed his phone into his pocket while Reginald grimaced.“He doesn’t? How do you know that?” Reginald asked. “I’m sure the young master and his majesty are discussing something important which is why we haven’t moved yet” Kingston reassured. “It’s not about the lack of movement that has me exasperated. I came to this city to spend time with Jeremiah and I haven’t even done that. If we travel back so quickly it would mean that this trip was a complete letdown.” She said. Kingston groaned.“So what do you want to do, Lady Lynette?” Kingston asked “Being the young master’s fiancé, you’re just as influential as he is to those who know the truth. So much so that the artificial intelligence back at the house obeyed your instruction when it wouldn’t have for anyone else besides the young master” Lynette groaned, reflecting on Kingston’s question that asked her what she wanted to do.“Since you’ve already linked yourself and Master Reginald together, you’ve basically protected him from all forms of harm for the next thirty-nine years, so you don’t have to follow us back home if you don’t want to.
