“I’m the one who called the police as you can hear.” Jeremiah said and the kids listened to the sirens blaring in the distance.

“However, I didn’t give them this exact address because I didn’t know it, so they are most likely patrolling the area, trying to find this apartment. Everyone in this building besides you guys have already been taken care of so just wait outside and let the police know what happened here” Jeremiah said.

Jeremiah had no problem with the kids telling the police about him because he didn’t kill anyone so there wouldn’t be any orders for his arrest. Also, the police will most likely not believe the kids when they say he did all that damaged to the gang by himself without killing a single person as it was a feat not humanly possible. Furthermore, the damage was done to a gang of criminals so the police will want to close the case as quickly as possible.

At the same moment Jeremiah was talking to the kids about having taken care of everyone in the building, on th

Jeremiah drove to the Crimson Fall’s Royal Mall as fast as he could and because he was on a motorcycle he had very few obstructions on the way there that a conventional car would have.He could go through tighter openings, allowing him to overtake a lot of cars that would have blocked his way and slowed him down if he had driven a car.Using his heightened sense of hearing and sight, he was able to drive without fear of incoming vehicles when speeding past junctions and traffic lights. He was also able to know when he was coming close to a police car that would track his speed and know that he was breaking the speed limit, so he would slow down just in time and pass them then hit the throttle once more. Due to all of that, Jeremiah was able to get to the mall at the same moment Britney’s Uber was parking in front of the location, making it seem like he wasn’t just coming from a very far distance.“Jeremiah?” Britney said, watching Jeremiah park the motorcycle and turn off the engine.

Britney’s eyes widened as she was surprised by the question but then she returned them to normal and smiled. “So you noticed, huh” she said.“Yes, I did. So, is there anything you want to tell me?” He asked. “Well, the truth is that I didn’t know whether to call you by your name or by your highness,” Britney said and Jeremiah grimaced. “I couldn’t get the fact that your last name is Garrick— the same last name as the king— off my mind, so when I got home last night I did a little digging and realized that you’re related to the king” Jeremiah groaned.“What do you mean by digging?” He asked, confused because there hadn’t been any public mention of him being related to Reginald as the bombing at the welcome ceremony stopped it, so what was she talking about?“I used to want to be one of the castle maids when I turned sixteen, so just like the thousands of girls my age back then, I studied as much about the Royal Family as I possibly could. I also collected research materials and amon

After Britney’s Uber had driven far enough to vanish from Jeremiah’s sight, he walked to his motorcycle, got on it, and drove back home— the castle. Now that he wasn’t in a hurry like he had been when he drove to the Crimson Fall’s Royal Mall for his date with Britney, Jeremiah took his time on the way back home—enjoying every moment as the wind blew against his face. Finally arriving at the gate, he blared his horn and the gatekeeper went out to see him.“My Lord!” the gatekeeper bowed his head the moment he saw Jeremiah.“Please open the gate for me. Thanks” Jeremiah said as the gatekeeper raised his head.“Of course, my Lord,” the gatekeeper said then rushed into his station and opened the gate.A few seconds later, the automated gates slid open and Jeremiah drove in, heading straight to the parking lot where he parked the motorcycle and walked to the castle. Immediately he stepped inside the castle, Jeremiah sensed that something was off. There was a little shift that wasn’t th

Just as Jeremiah got into the shower to take a shower, he received a call from Britney, who as promised wanted to tell him that she had gotten home safely. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to answer the call or even hear the phone ring because of the running water. So, Britney left him a voice message about what she wanted to tell him and then wished him good night. Jeremiah came out of the bathroom, feeling fresh with his damp towel wrapped around his waist, and just as he was about to get dressed, his eye caught that his phone screen was awake. He went to the bed to check and saw that he had one voice message from Britney. He listened to it, smiled, and messaged her that he had gotten her voicemail. Then he dressed and that was it for the day. The next day came along and Jeremiah visited Obadiah to check how his teacher was doing. Compared to the day before, the shaman’s energy had rejuvenated quite nicely. However, there was still some more recouping he had to do before it wo

Within that same three days, Obadiah’s energy and magic went back to full capacity and he terminated the Secrecy Spell he cast on all the estate’s workers as none of them broke their promise to keep the truth a secret.Jeremiah also spent a lot of time with Lynette who initiated most of it and told him so many stories about the past that he was impressed by. As for Christabel’s jealousy, she had no choice but to back down and abandon any hope of getting as close to Jeremiah as she desired because he was engaged to Lynette. Not that it would have made a difference if he wasn’t engaged because he simply didn’t find her that attractive, despite her being the most beautiful maid in the estate now that Lynette was no longer one.Everything and everyone in the estate remained fine as the days passed, and finally, the moment of truth arrived—testing Jeremiah’s magic to see if all of Obadiah’s efforts had paid off.Jeremiah had a good breakfast and then met up with Obadiah in the greenhouse.

Obadiah started the spell and so far so good, what happened last time didn’t repeat itself.Jeremiah didn’t get bombarded with memories of his past life while his eyes were closed and he experienced the passage of time normally— as he should. The only thing that was similar to the last time they did this was that he felt something rising in his core— a warm feeling.“Can you hear me, young master?” Obadiah asked while still casting the spell.“Yes, teacher, I can” Jeremiah replied.“You’re going to feel something deep within and when you do—“ Obadiah said but Jeremiah cut him off.“I already do… feel it I mean,” Jeremiah said.“Good. Good. That’s your mana core. It’s where your magical energy is stored and from what I can feel, it’s going to be extremely massive even at its base level. It’s going be far more superior than anything a human like me can have naturally”Emphasis was on the word “naturally” as there was a way to increase a mage’s core size and strength and that was throug

“Alright, young master. Try using your core now” Obadiah said as he stood up and placed his hand on Jeremiah’s back. “Okay, teacher” Jeremiah replied, and then he did just that.He focused on his mana core and tried contracting it like he would contract his muscles— hoping that it would work.“That’s it, young master. Just like that” Obadiah said and Jeremiah smiled, happy that what he did was working. Slowly, Obadiah filtered through the energy Jeremiah’s core produced as he tried identifying the types of magic he could use— or in other words, his mana affinity.Normally, a mage is proficient in two— sometimes three— types of magic. Then there are the basic spells that all mages can do— no matter the mana affinity. However, because of the human sacrifices Dark Emblem members make, they are able to do spells that normal mages cannot. An example of this is the Implosion magic that Adam loved to use. There are some gifted mages like Obadiah who was proficient in four types of magic,

“What do you mean, teacher?” Jeremiah asked.“Grey was hungry for power, beyond what my teaching could ever give him— even in the wicked environment that was Dark Emblem. He started to learn on his own and soon enough he caught up to me in terms of strength but he still wasn’t satisfied” Obadiah said and Jeremiah grimaced in confusion. “But how was that possible?” Jeremiah asked.“What do you mean, young master?” Obadiah asked back.“You have four mana affinities so how could Grey have caught up to you in strength?” He asked. “Remember when I said I’ve only ever met one person in my life, besides you, who had the same amount of mana affinity as me?” Obadiah asked and Jeremiah’s eyes widened.“Wait. Grey was the other person?!” “That’s right, young master” Obadiah nodded his head. “The upside of having a higher number of mana affinity is that it allows you to hone your magic skills faster than other mages—which is why I’m where I am in the ranking of powerful mages. Now, that doesn

One week later, Jeremiah leaned back against a cherry-red and gold Bugatti Veyron, the glint of the city lights dancing along its sleek curves. His tailored obsidian suit clung perfectly to his frame, his silver tie fluttering slightly in the evening breeze. The engine purred beneath the hood like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He glanced at the time on his wristwatch, a sly smile creeping across his face as the apartment door opened. He looked up.And there she was.Victoria emerged in a stunning midnight-blue dress that shimmered with every step. Her curls bounced as she descended the stairs, and Jeremiah couldn’t help but admire the moment like it was a scene from a movie.“Hurry up, we’re going to be late,” he said, a playful edge in his voice.“I’m coming!” she replied, hurrying her pace before she reached him—and planted a kiss on his lips that made the world pause for a second.“When’s he popping the question again?” she asked, at the same time telling him that maybe he was r

“The Leader?” Jeremiah asked with a grimace, the name tasting like ash on his tongue.“That’s right,” the being declared, his voice echoing like a god’s judgment through the twisted air. “I *am* the Leader—and this is my dimension. Here, I rule as supreme.”Jeremiah’s eyes narrowed. “And that name you called me—Bazar’q Omàrin? Why?”The Leader tilted his head slightly, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. “Because that is your name. Not this watered-down nonsense—Crimson, Jeremiah—names handed to you by humans who never knew your truth. You were Bazar’q Omàrin, once the high sovereign of the mighty Oxyl Dimension... until it all turned to ash.”Jeremiah’s fists clenched as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. “And how do you know that? How do you know *me*?”The Leader's grin stretched, eyes flickering with malevolence. “Because, you banished me to hell!”With that roar of hatred, he surged forward in a blur, his fist crashing into Jeremiah’s ribs with the force of a meteor. • CHAPTER 333

‘Where is he? The one who started all of this?’ Jeremiah’s thoughts were a storm as he tore through the sky in a vicious, high-speed duel against the nine-winged skeletal wyvern. His golden eyes flicked through the blood-red horizon, desperate to catch even a glimpse of Grey Lucian. Since the chaos began, Grey had vanished—eerily absent. The longer Jeremiah failed to find him, the more unease spread like rot in his gut.But the demonic wyvern wasn’t giving him the luxury of distraction.Every flap of the beast’s bony, mana-wrought wings whipped up cyclones of cursed wind. Each strike came fast, lethal, and relentless. Dodging them required all of Jeremiah’s focus—there was no room for error, no space to think about Grey, or even the cultists scattered across the battlefield, who were clearly summoning something catastrophic. The thick, malevolent mana surging from their positions felt like an omen of ruin. For just one heartbeat, Jeremiah’s mind slipped—and it was one too many. The w

  • CHAPTER 322

The battlefield plunged into eerie silence. Even the screaming winds beneath the dome seemed to hold their breath. Jeremiah stood at the center of it all, his dragonoid form casting a monumental silhouette against the warped sky. His scales shimmered with hues of black, red, and gold, glowing like molten metal in the dome’s unnatural twilight. Wings unfurled behind him like the banners of a god of war, stretching high and wide, stirring the air with every twitch. Mages, scattered across the estate in strategic lines, froze. The resurrection magic that had reanimated their fallen held no expression, no breath—just cold bodies awaiting orders. All of them stared at him, at the beast who had tanked a god-killing spell and still stood. Jeremiah’s molten eyes locked onto the mages who had conjured the lightning-fire hybrid spell. There was no mercy in his gaze. Only retribution. He leapt forward. The impact of his takeoff split the ground behind him, sending fragments of earth sky

  • CHAPTER 331

The sky darkened unnaturally, casting an eerie twilight over the estate. Jeremiah looked up as the last arc of shadow joined with the rest, sealing them inside a massive black dome. It shimmered with power, humming low like a monstrous heartbeat. The siege had begun. He turned to Lynette. “It’s begun.”“Yes,” she said quietly, eyes locked on the sky. “It has.”Jeremiah glanced down at the box in his hand. Obadiah’s head, expression frozen in death, stared back at him. The man had been a teacher, a guide, a rock of wisdom. And now he was gone. Murdered.“I’m sorry this happened to you, teacher,” Jeremiah murmured, his voice a low promise. “But on your behalf, I’ll make those fuckers pay.”With grim reverence, he set the box down. Then he and Lynette walked toward the convoy, where confusion had begun to blossom into panic.A chorus of murmurs rose as everyone saw the sky had changed. The dome wasn’t just a covering — it was alive. Pulsing. Feeding something.“What the hell is this?” th

[“How? The gate is—“] the driver of the first car asked but went silent to his surprise the gate suddenly opened. [“But how?!”] the driver asked in a panic.Jeremiah had used wordless magic to unlock and open the gate.[“Don’t worry about it and just keep driving”] Steven interjected, stopping the driver beside him from thinking too much into what happened.Because this security detail was provided by the city of Bakers View and not of the Garrick Royal estate, they didn’t know about Jeremiah’s real identity as Lord Crimson or that magic existed. That was why Steven stopped the driver beside him from asking questions and just moved things along. [“Okay, Captain”] the driver reluctantly said and then hit the gas, leading the cars into the estate. All the while, the third car which hadn’t been connected through the channel didn’t know what was really going on. Second after second, the cars got closer to Jeremiah’s house and when they got there everything looked perfectly fine, surpr

Jeremiah weighed his options and came to a final decision on which path to take. “We should go back” he declared. “Go back? As in back to the house?” Reginald asked, an intrigued look on his face.“Yes, back to the house” Jeremiah replied matter-of-factly.“Why?” Reginald inquired.“Though I wish you weren’t here, I honestly feel better with you or should I say Lynette by my side rather than elsewhere where y’all can be attacked by who knows how many enemies, and she, for whatever reason, dies because remember, a single temporary death from hers means you’re gone, forever,” Jeremiah said and Reginald groaned as he reflected on every word.“Alright then. I guess we’re going back” Reginald replied. He then looked at the driver and said “Tell the front car that we’re going back to the apartment”“As you wish, Your Majesty” the driver replied, clearly not on board with the decision because he had picked up on signs of there being a problem and would prefer if they left the city— meanin

Obadiah chuckled. [“I think you underestimate me, young master. But, if you want to know then I found it because of the relic I gave you. You know the one that lets us communicate? Well, you’re able to track the other twin if you have your hand on one and know the right spell”] Jeremiah groaned. “You didn’t tell me it could do that,” he said. [“I apologize, young master. It must have skipped my mind”] “Is that so? Alright then. I’ll head back to the house with Dad and everyone else” Jeremiah said. [“That’ll be great, young master. I’ll be waiting for all four of you”] Jeremiah groaned. “Alright then. Bye,” he said and then ended the call. Looking at him, Reginald asked “So we’re going back to your house to speak with the shaman? I wonder what he wants to talk to us about” “Nothing. He doesn’t want to speak to us about anything” Jeremiah said as he stuffed his phone into his pocket while Reginald grimaced. “He doesn’t? How do you know that?” Reginald asked. W

“I’m sure the young master and his majesty are discussing something important which is why we haven’t moved yet” Kingston reassured. “It’s not about the lack of movement that has me exasperated. I came to this city to spend time with Jeremiah and I haven’t even done that. If we travel back so quickly it would mean that this trip was a complete letdown.” She said. Kingston groaned.“So what do you want to do, Lady Lynette?” Kingston asked “Being the young master’s fiancé, you’re just as influential as he is to those who know the truth. So much so that the artificial intelligence back at the house obeyed your instruction when it wouldn’t have for anyone else besides the young master” Lynette groaned, reflecting on Kingston’s question that asked her what she wanted to do.“Since you’ve already linked yourself and Master Reginald together, you’ve basically protected him from all forms of harm for the next thirty-nine years, so you don’t have to follow us back home if you don’t want to.
