An hour after Kevin received a shocking phone call that revealed the news about his father’s 101 million debt.

Kevin was still in his room, still finding it hard to digest the news.

He had already asked the system to give him the money, but the system refused.

He asked for a loan, but the system refused again and instead reminded him to use the exclusive VVIP card of the Shower Bank. However, he heard that the interest for that bank would double the amount every month.

Just the thought of 101 million dollars doubling in a month made Kevin give up on the idea of using the Shower Bank.

“It’s an exclusive VVIP card, but it’s not something that I can afford to use right now.”

The system had also told him that the only way to lower the interest rate was for him to deposit money into the Shower Bank. The more the deposit, the less the interest rate would become.

It sounded great, but it wouldn’t benefit him right now as he was out of money right now.

On top of that, he felt extremely nervou

Cecilia was not interested in learning self-defense, but she agreed anyway.“Are you going to teach me how to use a gun properly?” she was asking, but then his hand touched her belly and slowly lifted up the shirt. She didn’t say anything, but her heart started picking up pace.“I’m lifting your shirt here,” Kevin said. “Shouldn’t you be defending yourself right now?”“I-I didn’t think it was this kind of self defense.”This would be much more difficult than learning how to use a gun, she thought.Cecilia’s smile softened into something quieter as his finger dipped into her belly button. One of his knees moved and rested between her legs, close enough that she could feel his warmth without feeling overwhelmed.“O-Okay,” she said, trying for seriousness and failing. “I-Instructor Kevin. How do you expect me to defend myself now?”“Awareness,” he replied, eyes intent but smiling. “You need to know where your hands are. Where mine are.”“As if I can’t be aware of that,” she mumbled. He c

Kevin went to Cecilia’s room. The door was locked, but Kevin used the system to hack the lock and open it from the outside. He slowly opened the door, not wanting to alert his wife.Cecilia was sleeping while hugging a pillow. The word ‘husband’ was on the pillow.Kevin didn’t notice that before, so he felt a sense of warmth flowing through his heart. “If you love me so much, why didn’t you just tell me to come and live in your room?”He didn’t wake her up.He quietly looked around the room for a minute. “There are no hidden cameras. That’s good.”He then sat down on the bed and patted Cecilia’s arm. After he did it a few times, she slowly opened her eyes. Realizing that someone’s hand was on her arm, she suddenly freaked out.“Shhh!” Kevin shut her mouth as fast as he could and pressed her down. When she saw him, all the panic vanished without a trace. Her eyes kept staring at him.Kevin’s hand was still on her mouth because he was staring into her eyes.He slowly removed his hand an

Even after the old man disappeared from Kevin’s sight and senses, he didn’t let his guard down.Only after the system messaged him that the old man left, Kevin breathed a sigh of relief. He looked in the direction of the mansion.“I can somehow survive all the attacks that come at me, but what if Cecilia gets attacked? Jack isn’t crazy enough to attack her to get to me, is he? He says he loves her, so he wouldn’t do that, right?”Kevin suddenly felt like seeing his wife once with his own eyes. So, he quietly jumped over the mansion walls without being seen by the guards or other security personnel. He climbed the wall using a pipe and reached the first floor’s balcony. But Sadia was on the balcony, brushing her teeth.“Why is she brushing in the middle of the night?” Kevin frowned.Sadia spat the foam to the side.It would have fallen on Kevin’s face had he not moved his head out of the way. In doing so, his head hit the wall, and he cringed in pain.“Mm? What was that noise?’ Sadia l

“Are you freaking kidding me now?” Kevin couldn’t believe it. “How could you seal my skill in the middle of my fight? And my life is only worth 1 million dollars?”[You brought this on yourself.] The system’s voice mimicked Brielle’s slang. [You don’t listen to your enemies’ commands. You make them listen to your commands.]“Hey, I didn’t obey his command. I tricked him into thinking that I did. How is that shameful? Nothing is shameful when it comes to survival.”[That’s why you cleaned toilets in your in-laws’ mansion for three years. You’d do anything to survive.]Kevin frowned, especially because he felt that the system was mimicking Brielle.[You cannot show off with cheap trickery!] the system warned him again. [What you say must be powerful, not weak! And what you do afterward must surpass your words! That’s how you must complete tasks. The problem isn’t with you closing your eyes, but you closing them when your opponent told you to.]Kevin slowly shook his head and said aloud,

The hair strands that were cut didn’t even fall and touch the rooftop yet.The old man changed the sword’s path midway in a curve that saw the sword coming right down at Kevin’s neck.“Eeeek!” Kevin ducked even more, which looked like an elite dance move. The old man’s eyes slightly widened as he wasn’t expecting such excellent agility and body control. He swiveled and thrust the sword back through his black coat. This way, he believed that it would be too late for Kevin to react even if he were to see the sword coming at the last second. However, Kevin managed to rise back up just a fraction of a second earlier. He didn’t mean to dodge the sword. He just got lucky, and he understood that. His heart pounded against his chest. He jumped away and made some distance. The old man turned to face him. He put his sword on his shoulder and said, “It’s been a while since I failed to kill someone in three moves. You can move, kid. I’ll admit that much.”The old man looked like an assassin from

Kevin’s mobile ringtone was loud and annoying because it was the default ringtone. He had bought a new mobile and sim card so that the police couldn’t catch him.He answered the call, “Did you find anything?”“Nothing strange,” Kevin’s friend from Australia responded. “Jack Shamus is not behind your father’s debt. Your father played cards and lost a lot more than he won. The records are clear. He started a week after he came to this country, so he’s basically never stopped. I’m afraid he took your help for granted, Kevin.”Kevin’s jaw hardened. “Is there anything else?”“I talked with the casino owner. He said that the money lenders who gave money to your father have quieted down in the last twenty four hours. That’s not normal.”Kevin sucked in a breath. “Jack must have begun to move,” he clenched his fists. “To think that bastard would not even leave my father alone…. It’ll be humiliating if Jack were to pay my father’s debt.”“What are you going to do then?” his friend asked. “It’s
