“I see you haven’t learnt yet. When your son’s cold body is sent back, you will.”

The second Mariam read the letter, her breath caught violently and her bulging eyes slowly turned to John.

“What did you do?” she asked him with a low voice.

John was still in shock, staring into blank space.

Now it made sense.

He now understood why his men had suddenly gone missing yesterday. He couldn’t reach any of them minutes after they arrived at the location.

Gal was also unreachable.

It was strange.

John was still in shock, staring into blank space. Now it made sense. He now understood why his men had suddenly gone missing yesterday. He couldn’t reach any of them minutes after they arrived at the location. Gal was also unreachable. It was strange.Because no one except John and Gal knew about this operation. Even Felix wasn’t aware. So John was sure no one had accidentally leaked the information.A search team was sent but they couldn’t find any trace of life at the location. It was as clean as though no one had stepped there or driven there in a few days. Could Chay have somehow maneuvered the operation? John’s brows furrowed deeply as he thought. Of course, he did.Or how did he manage to have Gal in his custody? But how could Chay h

Meanwhile, earlier at the Whitney villa…Claire stumbled as she walked towards the front door. She was still very tipsy from last night. She had spent the entire night and early morning at the club with her girls, keeping up with the luxurious lifestyle. As always, she had squandered thousands of dollars on bottles of alcohol and champagne and food for herself and her girls. “Ouch,” she winced as she hit her toe on the pavement. Her sight was still quite blurry and she was dizzy. “Didn’t you see me coming?” she screamed at the elderly worker who was stationed at the door. “You’re either useless or blind… or both!” she hissed at him and pushed him out of her way with her fingers. The man bowed and quickly apologized before she snaps him just like usual. “My sincere apologies, Ms Claire.”She eyed him with disdain, hissed and continued on her path, almost falling against the front door. She grabbed the door knob to steady herself, then pulled it downward to open and proceeded to g

The following morning… Molly was awakened by the sound of engines. Not one. Not two. But several engines whirling from a short distance. She slowly opened her eyes and frowned. Another engine roared outside. Then another. Molly rubbed her tired eyes and sat up, her frown deepening. She then lazily got out of her bed and walked toward the window. The moment she pulled the curtains aside, her eyebrows shot up. There was a convoy of black luxury cards parked outside their house. “What the hell…?”There were enough cars outside to suggest that either a very important person had arrived… Or someone was planning a small invasion. “Do we have a visitor?” she muttered to herself. Quickly, she threw on a robe and left her room. By now, Chay was seated in the main living room for be ground floor when the front doors opened. His visitor was here. The driver gently brought the car to a stop in front of Chay’s mansion. It was a long drive but thankfully, they arrived at the estate before it got too dark. Molly had replayed everything from her date with Gal up until he was dragged away, in her mind over and over again. She couldn’t still believe he could betray her like that to her. She glanced at Chay with her sad eyes. Chay was still looking ahead, just like he had throughout the quiet ride back. He had not said anything to her and neither had she… not because she didn’t want to, but because she didn’t know what to say or how to say whatever she wanted to say. All she had done so far was attempt to speak and say nothing. She stared at him with teary eyes. Her heart raced in her chest because she was afraid to speak and didn’t know what to expect if she did. What if he snubs me? What if he screams at me? What if he grounds me? What if he doesn’t want to ever speak to me again? She wondered sadly as she stared at his

Chay kept walking toward him, and began to increase his pace. Gal’s body trembled as he hurriedly dragged himself backward. “Please…” he whispered, and before he knew it, his back hit the shoes of one of the men. No more way for him to move back. The closer Chay got, the harder his heart pounded. In no time, Chay reached and stopped in front of him. He grabbed Gal by the collar and pull him to his feet effortlessly. Gal barely had time to react. The next thing he felt was a loud slap that sent his head swinging sideways. Smack!Blood poured out from the corner of his mouth. He stared at Chay in shock and terror. Chay’s eyes remained cold. He held Gal’s collar tighter and tilted his head, glaring deep at Gal. “You deceived her.”Smack!Another slap landed. “You betrayed her trust.”Smack!“You handed her over to death and suffering.”SMACK!Gal’s teeth flew out with a mouthful of blood and stumbled.
