The Unstoppable Rise Of Alex

Chapter one

The big, gigantic house of the Smith's was beautifully lit with yellow, green and blue light bulbs.

Today was Mr and Mrs Smith's wedding anniversary.

Her children, their spouses and her grandchildren, all gathered around them, describing and giving their expensive and gigantic gifts.

'Grandma, this is the most expensive gold chain in the whole of the city...'

'This is a diamond set I got for you, when I traveled to...'

'Grandpa, here's the wrist watch I got for you...'

'Dad, I got a land in the most expensive estate.'

Mrs Smith blushed heavily, as she listened and saw the large heap of gifts that she'd have to unwrap, once the celebration was over.

On the other hand, Mr Smith just smiled as he waved them off.

Happy anniversary, Grandma...

The whole family, turned over to where the sound came from.

It was Alex. The husband to the eldest daughter of the Smith's.

I'm sorry I have no expensive gift to give you, but here's this little pendant. I used up my savings to get this for you. He said, a he walked over to the pile of gifts.

The entire Smith's, were shocked at his audacity.

What did he mean? This cheap thing? For the mighty Mrs Smith?

"Don't you dare" Mrs Smith spat out. She looked over to her children for support.

What cheap and dirty thing is this? You expect the high and mighty Mrs Smith to put this on? Gabriel the first son the Smith's said as he walked menacingly to him.

Few years ago, Alex came into their lives. Their eldest daughter, Elena brought him home, saying she wanted to marry him.

They tried all they could to bring that to nothingness, but it never happened. Now they're stuck with this poor brat!

At this point, Briggs the third child of the Smith's, sneered with disdain. You fool! You couldn't even package it properly. You used your dirty hands to touch what my grandma would put on? What audacity!

Alex's face turned bright red as he stood there, frozen in embarrassment. He had never intended to cause a scene, and he certainly hadn't meant to offend Mrs. Smith or her family. He had simply wanted to give her a gift, something to show his appreciation for her.

But as he looked around at the Smith family, he saw the disgust and disdain in their eyes. He realized that he had made a mistake, a grave mistake. He should have known better than to try to give a gift to someone as wealthy and influential as Mrs. Smith.

At a corner, Mr Smith sat. His face void of any emotion. He just kept looking intently at him.

"I-I'm sorry," Alex stuttered, trying to apologize. "I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just wanted to give Mrs. Smith a gift."

But his apology fell on deaf ears. The Smith family was too busy ridiculing him, mocking him for his poverty and his lack of sophistication.

"You're just a poor, uneducated fool," Miguel sneered. "You don't even know how to give a proper gift. This is an insult, not a gift."

Miguel, was the third son of the Smith's. He was a business tycoon, with lots and lots of millions in his account.

Anna chimed in, his voice dripping with disdain. "Yeah, and what's with the packaging? It looks like you wrapped it up in a dirty old rag."

Anna, was the wife to Miguel, the third son.

The rest of the family joined in, mocking Alex and his gift. Alex felt his face burning with shame and embarrassment. He knew that he had made a mistake, and now he was paying the price.

As the ridicule continued, Alex felt a surge of anger and resentment. He knew that he didn't deserve to be treated like this. He was a good person, and he had done nothing to warrant this kind of treatment.

But he also knew that he couldn't fight back. He was outnumbered, and he was outmatched. The Smith family was too powerful, too influential. He was just a poor, insignificant person, and he didn't stand a chance.

So Alex did the only thing he could do. He turned and walked away, leaving the Smith family to their ridicule and mockery. He knew that he would never be able to show his face in this house again, and he was okay with that. He was better off without these people, anyway.

As Alex walked away, he could feel the weight of the Smith family's ridicule and disdain bearing down on him. He knew that he would never be able to escape the feeling of shame and embarrassment that they had instilled in him.

But as he walked, he also felt a sense of determination rising up within him. He knew that he couldn't let the Smith family's cruelty define him. He had to prove to himself and to them that he was more than just a poor, uneducated fool.

Alex walked for a long time, lost in his thoughts and feelings. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew that he had to keep moving. He had to keep pushing forward, no matter how hard things seemed.

As the sun began to set, Alex found himself in a small, quiet park. He sat down on a bench, exhausted and emotionally drained. He didn't know how much more of this he could take.

But as he sat there, he heard a voice in his head. It was a low, smooth voice, and it seemed to be coming from nowhere and everywhere at the same time.

"Hello, Alex," the voice said. "My name is System. I have been watching you, and I am here to help you."

Alex's eyes widened in surprise as he listened to the voice. He didn't know what to make of it, or how it was possible. But as he listened, he began to feel a sense of hope.
