CHAPTER 23

Leah Marcher walked through the hallway of Daystar Industries as she headed toward Rylan’s office. In her hands were a couple of papers. The papers were good news. News that Rylan would love to hear. She arrived at the office and was met by his secretary, Mrs. Clifford who was a brunette woman in her early forties.

“Mrs. Marcher. Welcome,” she greeted.

“Thank you, Mrs. Clifford. Is he in there?” Leah asked.

Mrs. Clifford nodded.

“Okay. Thank you,” Leah said and knocked on the door.

Without waiting for a response, she swung the door open and stepped into the office. Rylan was leaning against his chair lost in thought. He was in his white undershirt with his sleeves folded. On the chair hung his suit jacket.
