A few minutes later, Caspian’s phone buzzed with a notification.

He opened and it was Atlas.

—----

Dr. Orion Clever.

Clinical Geneticist.

The Clinical Laboratory. Room 83.

Titan Hospital Headquarters.

43 Dowvy Close, Las Vegas, NV.

—---

At once, he knew it was the doctor he was going to meet.

“An appointment has been booked. He's one of our very best.” Atlas added.

“We're going to the hospital,” Caspian whispered to his son.

Picking Jett from the bed, he walked to the locally constructed garage at the backyard of their lowly apartment.

He checked his G****e map. From Tonopah here to Las Vegas was a minimum of a three hour drive. And luckily, after Graycie came back with the car yesterday, she didn't go with it today.

Being someone who had learnt driving, he buckled up Jett at the backseat, got into the front and started the engine.

Before long, he was already reversing and driving out of the compound.

Ten minutes out of the compound, another message popped up.

He tapped his left hand on the screen.

Atlas again. “I asked, and the doctor said he would be available in the next three hours.”

Caspian frowned. “I thought he was on duty?” Kind of slowing down to type.

“Yes, kind of but today was his anniversary with his baby mama, so I guess he was given some hours to have fun. You know.”

Caspian’s face twisted with jealousy. And rage that Graycie had foiled his marriage plans.

He pressed the rage in, asking Atlas.

“So the three hours are counted from now?”

“Yes,” Atlas replied.

“It's okay,” Caspian hummed, looking clear ahead, hoping on Atlas to say something else and when he didn't, concluded with, “I just started out on the journey now.”

“Okay sir,” Atlas said. “Please, do not fail to inform me when you arrive. Your grandpa had sent his nanny to wait for you. She doesn't know you, you have to tell me when you reach.”

Why did his grandpa send his nanny to meet up with him? Caspian asked himself.

Not even a PA but a domestic nanny. But at the same time he found it too trivial to bother Atlas over.

“Okay, I'll let you know.”

The aftermath of submitting his son's paternity result was uncertain without his marriage result.

One thing which kept bothering him to catch up with the doctor his wife was cheating on him with.

But then he told himself to finish up with this first.

Three hours elapsed with him arriving at Titan Hospital, the headquarters in the US.

One of the most beautiful among the other branches. The last time he was here was when he was a kid hoping to take over smoothly before his parents fucked up and they got kicked out indefinitely.

Besides the luxury and glamor, it was the best private hospital in the whole of the US.

Transparent walls of glass and steel met him as the gate opened. Even the glass gates shimmered like diamonds made in heaven.

From the road, it looked less like a hospital and more like a futuristic luxury estate built for the wealthiest of the wealthy to live in.

Of course, this was set for the wealthiest in the country.

About entering, a group of security guards stepped up, blocking him.

“Your identification.” One of them stepped forward with a skeptical look.

While he was about to pull out his driver's license and give it to him, a Limousine and Lamborghini drove in, they bowed in respect, not asking a question.

Caspian thought to himself, then looked at the head guard. His name, Leon Britts - Chief Security, written on his chest tag.

“Mr. Leon, aren't they ought to be checked?”

“Will you do what I said, man?” Leon barked. “Who gave you permission to call my name?”

Caspian gasped, wondering if the men working here in his grandfather's hospital were like this. Or only to him.

“What’s the reason for your visit?” He asked suspiciously after scanning the license.

Each of the officers held a demeaning look.

“DNA Test.”

“Poor men with suspicion!” One of the men sneered.

But the chief quickly cut in, still with that stony face. “Do you have an appointment?”

“Yes. With Dr Orion…….” He pulled out his phone to check the rest of the name. “Orion Clever. Yes.”

Leon looked towards the back of the car and saw Jett fast asleep.

“Where is his mother?” He asked suspiciously.

Caspian flared up. “Why will you ask me about his mother? Do I need his mom's permission to do this?”

Leon turned to his colleagues. “This guy must be joking with me?” His face-flip back to Caspian was tinted with more rage. He grabbed the door handle, forcing it open.

Caspian stared at him, brows knotted. “Are you alright? Is everything good with your brain?”

He pushed his hands away. “Get your hands off this car. I owe you no explanation.”

But this only made Leon angry and his colleagues advancing towards him.

“This must be a suspected criminal. Get the car thoroughly checked.”

“Ayeee.” The other men said in chorus while three lunged on Caspian, forcing the car open and dragging him out.

“This guy looks really suspicious.” Leon hissed. “He must be connected to the recent mass shootings around.”

“What has mass shootings got to do with me?” Caspian yelled, pushing them.

But the three came back at him, more brutal than before. Their hands stuck down in search even to Caspian’s genitals. Cars were passing, the people inside looking at him.

Caspian was done respecting them. He somersaulted and kicked them to the ground, including Leon.

He was heading to the rest checking his car when one pulled out something from the front.

“Look!” A shocking gasp attracted the rest. They all turned. Caspian stared.

A handgun.

His heart vibrated. Where is that from? He questioned himself but no answer came.

“Did you come here to kill? Urgh?” The officer who had discovered the gun, pointed it at him, charging towards him.

He looked at Jett, still sleeping, not waking amidst the chaos. “You brought a gun to kill us here, trying to fool us with a drugged baby?”

“What?” Caspian narrowed his eyes, unable to fathom this.

However his heart kept beating. If he joked with this officer pointing a gun at him, they would waste his life and he'd die.

They'd even begun to accuse him while alive, talking more of after his death. Who would know the truth?

He swept down in a flash, pushing the officer down, grabbed the gun, quickly dismantled it and flung the pieces as far as he could.

“What?” Their voices rang out with utmost shock. Those on the ground were up, all gawking at Caspian before they all teamed up lunging at him.

“Why did you bring a gun here?”

“Urgh?”

They growled, hitting Caspian from different angles.

“You gonna ask Graycie.” He groaned, pulling off all of his life's energy to repel them.

“Graycie?”

“Who's Graycie?” They yelled, breathing heavily.

Before Caspian could say anything else, Jett woke up with a loud cry.

“Don’t scare my son!” Caspian attempted to advance towards Jett but they grabbed him.

He thought answering them would make them leave him.

“Graycie is the baby's mama.”

She was the cause of all these, he couldn't afford to call such a woman his wife.

One of the men took his gaze to the car, walked towards it and pulled Jett out but he cried even harder as he saw it wasn't his dad.

“You're gonna call her to come confirm. Without her confirmation, you're doomed.”

Caspian quickly turned to face her, his eyes lurking with curiosity. “Why did you ask?” She flung her face away, trying to hide the nervous expression but Caspian already saw through it. “Like I said, I'm just curious.” She muttered. Caspian smirked, turning back to look on the road ahead of them. “That's left for me to decide. Let's finish with the police station.” Cordelia swallowed a mouthful. She nodded. “It's okay.” But snapped back again. “Whatever happens, I'm here with you.” Caspian only smiled, saying nothing. At the station, they were led to the investigation room where the Police Chief was already waiting for them. Seeing Atlas with Caspian, he stood up in salute. Both Graycie and Orion twisted their brows. Even the police chief knew Caspian. A thing which baffled them. The three began to talk, sharing pleasantries while Graycie and Orion were asked to sit and wait for them to finish. Graycie sat but Orion met with one of the officers. “I'm calling my lawyer.” C

Atlas's jaw tightened."Do you know who he is?""This is a police investigation, so you better stay out of this." The officer warned and Atlas was going to pull out his phone and call the Police chief when Caspian pressed his hand down. “I can't let you go with them, you're way above that.” “Way above the law or he's just being a coward?” Graycie played her stunt. “You're still talking?” Atlas was heading towards her but Caspian dashed him a cold stare."Don't."Atlas frowned. "Sir?""Don't make this worse." He said coldly. But Atlas wasn't buying this. He quickly stepped outside. “Who are you going to call? There's no need.” Graycie was already being led away. She turned her head toward Caspian. For the first time since their wedding disaster, she looked uncertain.Orion noticed it.Then he leaned closer to her as the officers moved them toward the elevators."Don't say anything."Caspian caught the whisper. Atlas nodded and went out again. Turning to sit, his eyes met with Jett. His stomach knotted. A few minutes later, Atlas returned, bobbing his head. “Yes, you can.” “Give me the HR’s contact.” Caspian ordered. Atlas snapped at one of his men who linked with Dr. Fred. A number was sent. It popped up on Caspian’s phone, tagged HR. “What do you need the HR for?” Orion got alarmed, rushing to Caspian but Atlas’ men held him. Graycie stood up, knowing something was about to happen. “You must be joking if you think you can do anything to my man.” “Bold enough!” Caspian smirked typing into his phone. She rushed at him aiming for the phone but Caspian flung his hand up with it, high above her. “Give me the phone?” “Is it yours?” He teased, amused with the idea of stressing the guts out of her. He recalled how she stressed the hell out of him with allegations that he was her nanny. The accusations that he was stalking her. Now, he would do no less. So Caspian wrote a letter. Endors

And that's exactly what he did, cutting off his dad and mom. As if the exile wasn't enough, they ganged up to vote his grandfather out of the company so they could inherit fast and continue with their luxury lifestyle but Sir. Titan disowned his son. “I’ve received three emergency calls in the last few minutes about a suspected serial killer.” Atlas said coldly. “Who's the serial killer?” His voice edged up in question but no one spoke. Just stares, suppressed winks and murmurs. His eyes darted to the security guards. “Who's the serial killer?” “Someone explained this to me. Now! Or I will call the police chief myself.”He yelled. “All the accusers will be arrested!” Their hearts were already drumming hard. Some turned in blame. Others regret, wishing they never came here. Leon staggered forward, clearly shaking. “Sir, this man drove into the hospital premises with a baby and a gun.” He turned and his colleagues rushed behind others’ backs thinking he was going to call them. “I thought you all were strong?” Caspian mocked but no one dared to answer. Meanwhile Atlas’ steady, raging gaze on Leon lingered. He picked up his story quickly. “Graycie here had claimed he was her nanny but he claimed they were about getting ma

Caspian pulled out his phone in rage, angrily typing Graycie’s name. Her number showed and he tapped on it. It rang. “Come on, pick the call!” He growled angrily. It rang and rang, no one picked. He turned back, driving his fingers into his air in frustration when he recalled what Atlas had said. About to call him to tell of the calamity he was in, he caught sight of a couple. With the woman looking so familiar. His heart ceased a bit. He looked deeper. It was Graycie. For a brief moment, Caspian forgot everything. The guards disappeared from his mind. Even the thought of calling Atlas to tell him that he had arrived. For one second, he simply stood there, staring at the woman he had called his wife. She was laughing, curled up in the arms of the tall, gorgeous man, looking so much like a doctor. The doctor she'd talked of. Then a black Ferrari drove by stopping at the entrance of the block, the car opened. She stretched up towards the man's cheek and gave him a kiss. “Hey
