The wedding bells didn't ring as it was supposed to.

At exactly twelve minutes after noon, Caspian Titan stood beneath a beautiful arch of white roses, with his one year old son sleeping quietly against his chest.

His eyes remained fixed on the empty entrance, the place his bride, Graycie should have appeared at any moment.

But she never returned from work as she promised.

The three hundred guests who had been chatting excitedly were now sitting in awkward silence.

The orchestra had fallen quiet, leaving the room unusually silent. Even the priest seemed unsure of what to do.

He adjusted his glasses, glanced at the time again, then finally lowered his gaze.

Everyone was waiting for someone to explain what was happening.

But Caspian couldn’t. She was supposed to close her massage parlor for their special day, despite his pleas, she didn't.

She had promised to return early only to stay till now and she was nowhere in sight.

He had called Graycie thirty-seven times already.

At first, the phone rang until the calls ended. Then, without any warning, every call began going straight to voicemail.

Then a new message popped up on the screen. A new number.

“Sorry, I just borrowed my client’s number to message you. A millionaire doctor. He's paying me handsomely. I can't miss this job for our wedding.”

Caspian's heart stopped to breathe.

He gawked on the screen, wondering if he was dreaming or reading these for real.

He tapped on the number angrily, calling it and it was picked.

“Urgh. Mmmm. Argh. Fuck. You're doing well.” A deep masculine voice tuned up from the other end of the line.

“What the hell? Who are you?” He barked, balling his fist.

Then his wife cleared her throat. “Sorry, I went to get the rosemint oil to massage his dick. It's big but he needs it bigger.”

The phone on Caspian's hands nearly fell to the floor if not that he grabbed it well.

“What? What are you saying? Like, are you for real?”

His lips hung loose in shock, his cheeks red with shame. Both for her, saying and doing such a thing.

“You're about to become a fully married woman for God's sake, you should stop all these?” He said with so much frustration lacing from his voice.

But Graycie cracked up uncontrollably. “Jealous? Because you've got a small dick?”

“Didn't you hear what I just said?” He pressed his question deeper.

“Who cares about that?” Graycie chuckled. “What can our marriage do for me? All through our three years of living together, what have I achieved?”

Caspian froze, rubbing his ears to check if he was hearing this for real or he was just imagining things.

“How much is this client paying you that you'd dare to disgrace yourself this bad?”

Silence struck, Graycie twisted her face so hard. “Can you afford it?”

The laughter at the other end crashed in, rippling through his ear.

“A useless man he is for real. All the while you've been telling me about him, I never really believed until now.”

It was from the man. Her client, as she claimed.

“You've dealt with him before?” Caspian’s voice rang out in shock.

He already had this bad feeling that this man was more than just a client, only to confirm.

“You can't even pity your own son, like what the hell!”

For a while now, he had been the one taking care of Jett while she'd barely had any time for him.

She laughed further. “Isn't that the only thing you're good for?”

She sighed and cut the call.

Caspian was gone, gawking at the empty air, as he slowly withdrew his phone from his ear.

A part of him was waiting for another message to appear.

Probably an apology, an explanation or anything that would make this nightmare feel less real.

“Caspian, what's wrong? Where's your wife?” His mother's voice shook him out of his thoughts.

“She’ll come for the wedding, she has to,” Caspian muttered, nodding his head.

Letting his mother who had come all the way from the remote village….

Traveling for sixteen hours with his dad, to know his wife wasn't coming for their wedding was the very last thing he would do.

He wanted to tell her the truth but he knew what would happen. She will slump. As an hypertensive woman, he didn't want to lose another person he loved.

His mother stood a few feet behind him, watching with him with so much worry in her eyes. But he summoned the biggest courage he could.

“Even Jett is already looking for his mother.” Madison told her foster son, watching Jett’s tear-soaked eyes.

But Caspian grabbed her shoulder gently, saying to her, “She’ll come.”

“Son…” Madison was still doubting.

“She promised me.”

Each lie he made pierced deep into his heart. His mother fell silent at this point.

A soft whimper came from Jett, and Caspian immediately looked down to check on his son.

Despite the heartbreak tearing through him, his face softened a little when he saw his son.

“Hey, little man,” he murmured. “Daddy’s right here with you.”

He gently rocked the baby in his arms, trying to soothe him.

Graycie’s mother walked over to Madison, smirking.

“Shame on you for not raising your useless son well, look at how he brought us all out to disgrace here!”

Caspian squeezed his face so tight, wanting to lash out at this woman but he managed to control himself.

Graycie’s father stood up and walked over to her, grabbing her waist. “I never wanted to have a poor son-in-law. God must have hated me so much.”

Seeing his mom stand here, speechless as these people spoke trash about him and his mother spiked his rage.

He scolded them, “Get some sense please. Your daughter is married, yet she's still going all out to massage naked men in the name of work.”

Their eyes lit up.

“Between her and I, who has the right upbringing?”

Jolyne raised her hand to slap him but he blocked her, grabbing her hands tight and dropping by her side.

Cocking his head, he signaled to his mom. “Let's leave here.”

“Like mother, like daughter,” followed up from his lips.

Jolyne screamed aloud. “If you weren't broke and useless, why would you push our daughter to go work on her wedding day?”

Her words created an uproar among the guests. Some stood up, others were complaining.

Dagger stares fell on him from different directions. But he stood his ground.

He never asked Graycie to go work today, she's the one who left right before he woke up. Before dawn, he had called but she promised to return before the wedding.

She was in such a rush to even pick the car. She used a cab.

Seeing them accuse him for what their daughter did, Caspian’s lips curled into a smirk.

He tapped on his phone to see if Graycie had messaged only to see a F******k notification with her sister's name. Her post.

“If this stupid man wasn't so poor, we wouldn't be wasting our time here for a wedding that's not gonna hold.”

People began to comment, insulting him.

His chest boiled, the seductive male voice he heard from the phone, Graycie’s stunt, they all flew in, churning his head.

Leo grabbed his wife, storming off. Caspian turned to look at them with raging eyes.

Then one of the guests quietly walked away.

A few moments later, another followed. Caspian watched as people slowly made their way through the garden gates.

Some still carried the flowers they had brought for the wedding. Others held the programs they had picked up earlier, the pieces of paper that now felt like reminders of a wedding that would never happen.

His foster father eventually walked toward him, moving carefully, as though one wrong word might push Caspian over the edge.

“Let me take care of this,” he said.

Caspian shook his head, he wasn’t willing to buy the idea.

“I’ll handle it.”

Aaron stepped closer and lowered his voice.

“You don’t have to stay here and let everyone watch you go through this.”

Caspian finally turned to him.

“She can’t just humiliate me and go scotfree.” He gnashed his teeth. But his dad laughed at him.

“What are you going to do?”

Caspian balled his fist. His eyes gave him a hard stare and he wanted to speak but his lips pressed tight.

This man had been taking care of him for years.

Caspian looked at the doorway again, even though a part of him already knew what he would see.

And he didn’t see anything. Graycie wasn’t coming to save the moment.

He took a quick turn, storming away to his room where he laid Jett and was going to call Graycie out publicly.

His phone rang. The screen lit up with the Titan’s Family Crest. He grabbed his chest. His finger trailed in a slow drag, picking it.

“Hello?” His voice was low and careful.

“Is this Mr. Caspian Titan?”

“Yes,” he snapped. The voice was somehow strange, not like any he could recall.

A second passed in heavy silence before the deep, masculine voice.

“I'm Atlas Wilder, Sir Titan’s new Chief of Staff and Personal Assistant. Congratulations on your wedding day. You've leveled up to the rank of getting a job at Titan Conglomerate.”

Caspian was about to speak but he caught him off.

“He requests an immediate submission of your marriage certificate and son's paternity test to qualify fully.”

Caspian’s brow furrowed. “Today? Both? What if I have one?”

“You have till 3:40 PM today.”

His tone rippled with all seriousness. His grandpa never joked.

Caspian’s body spiked up with urgency.

Caspian quickly turned to face her, his eyes lurking with curiosity. “Why did you ask?” She flung her face away, trying to hide the nervous expression but Caspian already saw through it. “Like I said, I'm just curious.” She muttered. Caspian smirked, turning back to look on the road ahead of them. “That's left for me to decide. Let's finish with the police station.” Cordelia swallowed a mouthful. She nodded. “It's okay.” But snapped back again. “Whatever happens, I'm here with you.” Caspian only smiled, saying nothing. At the station, they were led to the investigation room where the Police Chief was already waiting for them. Seeing Atlas with Caspian, he stood up in salute. Both Graycie and Orion twisted their brows. Even the police chief knew Caspian. A thing which baffled them. The three began to talk, sharing pleasantries while Graycie and Orion were asked to sit and wait for them to finish. Graycie sat but Orion met with one of the officers. “I'm calling my lawyer.” C

Atlas's jaw tightened."Do you know who he is?""This is a police investigation, so you better stay out of this." The officer warned and Atlas was going to pull out his phone and call the Police chief when Caspian pressed his hand down. “I can't let you go with them, you're way above that.” “Way above the law or he's just being a coward?” Graycie played her stunt. “You're still talking?” Atlas was heading towards her but Caspian dashed him a cold stare."Don't."Atlas frowned. "Sir?""Don't make this worse." He said coldly. But Atlas wasn't buying this. He quickly stepped outside. “Who are you going to call? There's no need.” Graycie was already being led away. She turned her head toward Caspian. For the first time since their wedding disaster, she looked uncertain.Orion noticed it.Then he leaned closer to her as the officers moved them toward the elevators."Don't say anything."Caspian caught the whisper. Atlas nodded and went out again. Turning to sit, his eyes met with Jett. His stomach knotted. A few minutes later, Atlas returned, bobbing his head. “Yes, you can.” “Give me the HR’s contact.” Caspian ordered. Atlas snapped at one of his men who linked with Dr. Fred. A number was sent. It popped up on Caspian’s phone, tagged HR. “What do you need the HR for?” Orion got alarmed, rushing to Caspian but Atlas’ men held him. Graycie stood up, knowing something was about to happen. “You must be joking if you think you can do anything to my man.” “Bold enough!” Caspian smirked typing into his phone. She rushed at him aiming for the phone but Caspian flung his hand up with it, high above her. “Give me the phone?” “Is it yours?” He teased, amused with the idea of stressing the guts out of her. He recalled how she stressed the hell out of him with allegations that he was her nanny. The accusations that he was stalking her. Now, he would do no less. So Caspian wrote a letter. Endors

“I’ve received three emergency calls in the last few minutes about a suspected serial killer.” Atlas said coldly. “Who's the serial killer?” His voice edged up in question but no one spoke. Just stares, suppressed winks and murmurs. His eyes darted to the security guards. “Who's the serial killer?” “Someone explained this to me. Now! Or I will call the police chief myself.”He yelled. “All the accusers will be arrested!” Their hearts were already drumming hard. Some turned in blame. Others regret, wishing they never came here. Leon staggered forward, clearly shaking. “Sir, this man drove into the hospital premises with a baby and a gun.” He turned and his colleagues rushed behind others’ backs thinking he was going to call them. “I thought you all were strong?” Caspian mocked but no one dared to answer. Meanwhile Atlas’ steady, raging gaze on Leon lingered. He picked up his story quickly. “Graycie here had claimed he was her nanny but he claimed they were about getting ma

Caspian pulled out his phone in rage, angrily typing Graycie’s name. Her number showed and he tapped on it. It rang. “Come on, pick the call!” He growled angrily. It rang and rang, no one picked. He turned back, driving his fingers into his air in frustration when he recalled what Atlas had said. About to call him to tell of the calamity he was in, he caught sight of a couple. With the woman looking so familiar. His heart ceased a bit. He looked deeper. It was Graycie. For a brief moment, Caspian forgot everything. The guards disappeared from his mind. Even the thought of calling Atlas to tell him that he had arrived. For one second, he simply stood there, staring at the woman he had called his wife. She was laughing, curled up in the arms of the tall, gorgeous man, looking so much like a doctor. The doctor she'd talked of. Then a black Ferrari drove by stopping at the entrance of the block, the car opened. She stretched up towards the man's cheek and gave him a kiss. “Hey
