The next morning, the Harrison mansion was unusually quiet.

The night’s laughter and music were gone, replaced with whispers.

Clara was in the kitchen making tea when her mother came in.

Her face looked tired. “Have you seen Eric this morning?” she asked.

Clara shook her head. “No. Why?”

“He left early. He said he had urgent business.”

Her mother frowned. “But the men who came last night—why were they looking for him? He said he never met them.”

Clara sighed. “Mom, maybe it was just a misunderstanding.”

Mrs. Harrison forced a smile. “Maybe.”

But deep down, she wasn’t sure anymore.

---

Ryan stepped into the kitchen quietly. “Good morning.”

Her mother crossed her arms. “You made enough noise last night, didn’t you? Fighting like some gangster.”

Ryan smiled. “I just don’t like trouble.”

“Hmm.” She looked him up and down. “Well, thanks for scaring them off. But don’t think that changes anything.”

Ryan nodded. “I don’t.”

He poured himself some water and left without another word.

His silence made her more uncomfortable than his presence.

---

Outside, Ryan walked down the street, phone in his pocket buzzing again.

He stopped beside an old car parked by the road. A voice came from the other end of the call.

“Commander, we traced the name Eric Harrison. He’s not who he claims to be.”

Ryan’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Go on.”

“He’s been using fake business papers to collect money from investors. The men who came last night were his victims. If this leaks, the Harrison family will be in trouble too.”

Ryan looked back at the mansion. “Handle it quietly for now. Don’t act until I say so.”

“Yes, Commander.”

Ryan ended the call and slipped his phone away.

His calm eyes turned cold for a moment, then soft again.

---

Meanwhile, at the city office, Eric sat nervously in front of his computer.

He kept checking his email — one from a man named “Mr. Duke.”

The subject read: **FINAL WARNING**.

Eric swallowed hard. “No… he can’t have found me.”

Just then, his phone rang.

It was a strange number.

“Eric Harrison,” the voice on the line said, cold and slow. “You thought you could run from me?”

Eric’s face went pale. “W-who is this?”

“You owe me money. Two hundred thousand dollars. Pay before midnight, or everyone will know the truth about your ‘company.’”

Click.

The line went dead.

Eric’s hand shook. Sweat rolled down his neck. He slammed his laptop shut and whispered, “No one can find out. Not Clara. Not her family. And definitely not that useless Ryan.”

He didn’t know Ryan already knew everything.

---

That evening, Clara sat on the balcony, lost in thought.

She still couldn’t forget what happened at the party.

Her mother came out beside her. “Clara, that husband of yours is strange.”

“I know,” Clara said softly. “But after all, what does he have? He’s not contributing to the family, so there’s nothing good about him.”

Her mother nodded. “Exactly. Don’t let last night confuse you. Maybe he just got lucky.”

Clara forced a smile. “Yeah… maybe.”

Down below, Ryan was fixing the garden light quietly. He heard every word, but his face didn’t change.

He just whispered to himself, “One day, you’ll see.”

---

Later that night, Ryan stood by the window again.

The city lights flickered far away, and the air was cold.

His phone buzzed — another message from his team.

**“Commander, should we take down Eric Harrison tonight?”**

Ryan’s eyes glowed faintly under the moonlight.

He typed back: **“No. Let him dig his own grave. Then I’ll move.”**

He slid the phone into his pocket, closed his eyes, and said softly,

“The legend doesn’t rush. The legend waits.”
