With a deliberate motion, Roderick pulled something with an otherworldly glow from a dimensional space.

Some of the people that looked at Mei Li, who was standing beside Roderick while protesting, recognized what Roderick held in his hands. Gasps erupted from the onlookers.

“Look at what Roderick is holding! Isn’t that our world’s fortune source,” exclaimed someone with a bewildered look.

“Yes, that is it, but why is it in his hand in the first place,” another person mused.

Whispers filled the air. Something was amiss. Roderick was holding our world’s fortune source, and the people looking at it noticed and questioned themselves.

“Wasn’t Roderick the one who told us that Ngwan Le seized the world source for his own benefit,” a woman’s voice pierced through the chatter. “Didn’t he claim that the world source was the wellspring of Ngwan Le’s formidable power?”

“Yes, he even recounted his encounter with Ngwan Le, insisting the world source was stolen and that the whole situation was merely a cover-up,” chimed another individual.

A gasp of realization swept through the crowd.

“So the real culprit behind the case of the stolen world source was Roderick,” a shocked voice broke through the murmurs.

More voices rose in unison, and the atmosphere thickened with tension.

“And he’s the one who came up with the theory about the world source having the ability to make its holder invisible, saying Ngwan Le’s power came from it.”

They kept speaking, but I wasn’t concerned at all. After all, my power growth isn’t limited by the world I inhabit.

I held my chin as I shook my head. “Interesting. What a significant secret, and to think none of your allied forces knew all of that.” I spoke as if I knew precisely what they had done.

His allies protested, but he didn’t mind them at all. And Roderick continued, “Now that we remember, Roderick was born a cripple.”

“He was indeed born a cripple. I was his neighbor,” replied someone who claimed to have been Roderick’s neighbor.

During this scandalous revelation, everyone came to know the truth hiding behind these ongoing conflicts, but it was already too late. They were already part of this conflict. It was a betrayal. They all quickly stopped their chatter upon realizing they too were implicated, knowing exactly what would happen to them based on their understanding of me.

Roderick who pulled out the world fortune source and gave it to Mei Li, who sacrificed it to increase their chance of summoning the power that would kill me. The divine treasure absorbed the fortune of the world source and activated.

With a bewildered look, I asked, “What is happening here?”

The whole world changed color the moment the divine treasure activated, it was a mixture of different colors painted in an ordered way. Then, a strange form of power, never seen before, started gathering all around the divine treasure. As it gathered, the moment it came into direct contact with it, a shock wave was produced, sweeping everyone 1000 miles away and knocking them unconscious.

Then, a destructive power emerged from the divine treasure, destroying everything within a radius of 100 miles. Everybody who was knocked out by the shock wave was sent flying 1000 miles away before the emergence of the destructive power, which completely obliterated the area where they were standing. But I was still standing in the same place. Neither the powerful shock wave nor the destructive power produced by the divine treasure could make me budge an inch or leave a scratch on my body.

I put my right hand on my face and shook my head.

“Why didn’t this destructive power come out first, It would have made my work easier, but now I will have to go search for them one by one and kill them all after crushing this move of theirs.”

The destructive power didn’t reach the area where those people were sent. It’s truly unfortunate for me, these twisted people are still alive.

I looked at the divine treasure as the destructive power that came out of it dissipated. Then the treasure shattered.

My eyes widened. “Ah, was that all, To think they went so far as to sacrifice our world fortune source for this,” I whispered, lips pursed with a monotone expression.

Each world fortune source has a different shape, and ours had a spherical shape, with the power emanating from it being of a purple color. I turned, intending to hunt those twisted bastards who betrayed me. But the moment I moved my left leg, I felt an overwhelming aura. “This aura, it’s familiar.” I felt threatened, so I stopped and didn’t move any further.

What is going on, I asked myself. Was there another enemy hiding in the shadows, A formidable one.

While deep in thought, an enormous amount of energy came out from the shattered fragment of the divine treasure and poured into the heavens. Now I was certain it wasn’t someone’s presence I felt, but the fluctuation coming from the divine treasure due to the massive amount of energy that poured out from it.

“What is this thing reserving for me?”

I turned and looked at the beautiful scene produced by the upward energy flow from the divine treasure. As the weather changed and the whole world turned black, I saw a figure from afar.

“What is it?”

It was a pillar. The sky cleared, and a pillar descended from it with the mark ‘1’ imprinted in front of it. As I looked at it as it approached, I felt the aura that emanated from it. It was different from the one I felt before the emergence of the massive amount of energy from the shattered divine treasure. Still, this aura was familiar, and it seemed I knew what it was.

As I looked more intensely, “Don’t tell me, is it really what I think,” I whispered with a frozen expression. The pillar’s number imprint radiated with ultraviolet light, shining brightly. At a glance, I knew what this was.

My body started trembling as I was about to shout out its name. “The primal origin manifestation!”

Sweating nervously, my lips shivered as I clenched my teeth. “What is this thing I am feeling, It’s coming from within me.” “Is this what they call fear?” “So this is what my enemies felt when they were at my mercy.”

“Ha ha ha,” I laughed maniacally, full of joy. “I like it, do you hear, Mei Li, I love your gift, this is what I have been waiting for so long.” “Consider your transgression forgiven.” For the first time in my life, I felt fear. But still, I was excited. For me, this was a real opponent, in fact, it was the adversary of my desired dream. My impression of Mei Li changed, I now saw him in a new light, as a real man.

While I was enjoying myself in laughter, the pillar pierced through my world’s protective layer and entered.

“Oh my, it’s no joke, it has already entered my world and is diving towards me. It seems there is no room for me to slack off any more.” I used my divine power of light.

“Great Light Soul, materialize.”

*Swoosh!*

A translucent giant body of human form, full of divine light power, materialized and expanded far into the sky. As it expanded, I raised my left hand, palm open. At the same time, the Great Light Soul also lifted its left hand towards the pillar. The pillar was diving towards me at the same time my Great Light Soul was expanding.

*Boom!*

They came in contact, and I felt the pressure on my left hand. Then I shouted, “Hand Grip (Realm of Touch).” As I used my Hand Grip Realm power, an invisible red line came out and surrounded the pillar like a net. A coalition occurred, caused by the power of the interaction between the two opposing powers. This tore apart the space in my world, and fragments of it fell. The coalition kept going on.

This pillar was twice as big as my Great Soul Light’s palm. But the more the coalition continued, the more it grew in size and power. I felt great joy. My body was trembling.

“More, more, I need more.”

The pillar’s power became overwhelming, and my Hand Grip Realm of Touch was breaking. Then I felt a surge of power coming from within, it was the power of light integration. This power of light integration activated automatically and flowed all over me. “Let me release it.”

“Light Integration Release!” The Great Light Soul, which became coated with the power of light integration, pushed the pillar away.

Ngwan Le, who knew the power of the primal origin manifestation, had never seen it. This pillar has a chain attached to its back whose length was limitless. This chain attached to its back brought another pillar that merged with it and formed a new pillar. And after the merged, the number in front of the previous pillar changed from ‘1’ to ‘2’. This newly formed pillar with the imprint ‘2’ pushed back the hand palm of the Great Light Soul to a 90-degree angle, crushing it completely with its body, and continued moving toward me with speed.

The moment the words bond and link echoed through the gathering, a ripple passed among the disciples of Light. One of them, the boy whose eyes were pale, parted his lips. “The Bond of Light,” he muttered. As the words left his mouth, his white eyes bled into yellow, the transformation lasting no longer than a heartbeat—yet it was enough.A disciple who had been yapping incessantly earlier could no longer contain himself.“The Bond of Light?” he asked eagerly. “What is it?”Ngwan Le fell silent. Why don't I share my thought, he thought. What I know about it.“It began with a decree,” Ngwan Le finally said, his voice calm yet carrying an unseen weight. “And after the decree… came manifestation.”The disciples leaned in.“After the words Let there be Light were spoken, manifestation followed. Yet what that manifestation truly was—no one knows clearly.” He paused, frowning slightly. “What is certain is only this: there is a Then, a Before, and an After… and beyond that, something without

  • chapter 49: The effect of the bathe

The pool was anything but quiet. It brimmed with murmurs—layer upon layer of voices weaving together like drifting mist. Some disciples spoke excitedly about the sensations they had felt upon bathing in the liquefied light. Others indulged in their own fantasies. And then there were those who whispered with barely concealed awe about Ngwan Le—about the uproar he had caused.“May I ask you a question?” The voice came from the figure closest to his left.Ngwan Le turned his head slightly. The boy hesitated, clearly wrestling with himself. Should I say it… or should I not?“Speak,” Ngwan Le said calmly.“For you… what does all this mean?”The words fell into the pool like a pebble. Many did not even hear them—not because they were unwilling, but because their minds were already drowned in the restless muttering that filled the air. As for those who did hear, confusion flickered across their faces. A simple question mark formed in their thoughts before they turned away, choosing instead t

  • chapter 48: Takstu mission

How many days had it been since he left Earth?Ngwan Le’s thoughts drifted for only a heartbeat before he released them, like a leaf surrendering to the current. Time meant little now—not when he didn’t even know how days converted between worlds, and not when his mind was already chasing something far more urgent. What comes after the massacre? That was the real question. His gaze lowered to the shimmering water around him. It wasn’t water, not truly. It was light—liquefied, softened into a glowing pool.If I’m not in some kind of test… then what is this? he thought.A test. “If this is a test,” he whispered, voice barely disturbing the surface, “then what kind of test needs… all this?”The very idea was absurd. A realm like this—an immortal fairy domain filled with floating islands and laws that laughed at reality—could such a creation exist merely to judge him?He doubted it. Yet for the first time since arriving here, the question finally surfaced.Am I truly living in an immortal

A doorway that wasn’t a doorway. An entrance that didn’t bother to pretend it was meant for people. And this… this was the place where he was supposed to come take his “bath.”Ngwan Le narrowed his eyes. There wasn’t even a door to open.Through the hollow between the iron legs, he could clearly see the other side—empty land stretching on, wind drifting over the lowest floating island like a sigh.Yet that wasn’t the strangest part.It wasn’t the only signboard. There were more.Hundreds… no—thousan

The words lingered heavily in the room, and so the next day came by Ngwan Le lay flat on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Minutes passed. Then. “Damn it…” Still laying on his bed “That professor really knows how to say impressive things,” Ngwan Le muttered. “But when it comes to how to actually do it—he didn’t explain it properly.” Afterward, he woke up and went to meet Saint Clair. On his way, he was sure he kept thinking about how he the professor had firmly implanted the idea that he was a genius in his mind—so firmly, in fact, that he had forgotten to tell him what he needed in order to initiate the nourishment process for the flower. Crack. He opened the door—the door to the meeting room where Saint Clair currently was. It was a Tuesday afternoon.
