At that moment, the demon began

scanning the bushes, searching for Hermes. But it couldn't find him. So it reached into the spiritual side of its being and enhanced its vision. Instantly, it began to see beyond the physical realm, allowing it to see through solid objects. Within seconds, its gaze locked onto Hermes, who was hiding behind a short, thick tree. It could even hear the rapid beating of his heart as though he were standing right beside it.

"There you are, Dragon Knight," the demon said with a sinister smile. "You can't hide from the invisible." It burst into cruel laughter.

The demon then turned to Richard and whispered, "Relax, fresh blood. I'm coming for you."

Without another word, it turned and started walking toward Hermes.

The moment Hermes saw the demon approaching, he turned and ran. The demon wasn't concerned. No matter how fast Hermes ran, it knew it could catch him whenever it wanted.

In an instant, the demon vanished and reappeared in front of Hermes. It grabbed him by the neck with its left hand and lifted him high into the air. It studied Hermes carefully.

"Dragon Knight... so you still haven't learned?" it said coldly. "After being killed by my creator, you still have the courage to return to Earth."

Hermes had no idea what the demon was talking about.

"Get your hands off me! You've got the wrong guy!" Hermes shouted as he struggled desperately for air.

"Hmm... you never change, even at the moment of death. Today, you die," the demon whispered.

It tightened its grip around Hermes' neck, intending to crush the life out of him.

But at that very moment, a massive log of wood burst out of the ground and shot toward the demon's head. It struck the demon with tremendous force, throwing it off balance and breaking its concentration. The demon released Hermes, who crashed heavily onto the ground and lost consciousness.

Just then, a young woman descended gracefully from the sky and landed before them.

It was Vivienne.

Her glowing hair flowed elegantly in the wind, and her radiant eyes had transformed into deep crimson. The demon stood speechless, staring at her in disbelief.

Without hesitation, Vivienne stretched both arms sideways and manipulated the air surrounding the demon. The air instantly transformed into an invisible force capable of piercing the body from within, making its victim feel as though countless sharp objects were stabbing every part of them internally.

With a single thought, she compressed the invisible force around the demon.

The demon screamed in unbearable agony as it struggled to resist the attack with its own power.

Meanwhile, Hermes slowly regained consciousness. His neck burned from the demon's grip as he painfully pushed himself to his feet. Wondering who had saved him, he turned toward the battlefield.

The moment he saw Vivienne, his eyes widened in shock.

He couldn't believe it.

As far as he knew, Vivienne had only recently arrived in the city of Queensville to train and master her powers. There was no way she should have known where this forest was.

The thought disturbed him deeply.

The demon continued struggling under Vivienne's relentless attack while she maintained complete focus.

Then, suddenly, something changed.

Roaring in pain, the demon reached deep into its spiritual essence. It raised both hands toward the sky, and beams of pure crimson light erupted from its palms. The beams shot upward before spreading across the entire area like a blood-red veil.

The demonic energy overwhelmed Vivienne's invisible force, completely neutralizing it.

Seeing this, Vivienne stretched both hands wide and rose into the air. A massive wave of dark-colored wind gathered around her, swirling with terrifying power. With a powerful gesture, she unleashed it toward the demon.

The blast struck with devastating force, sending the demon flying through the forest. It smashed through bushes, crashed into several trees, and rolled across the ground like a football before finally disappearing into the distance.

Vivienne gently descended back to the ground.

"What are you doing here?" Hermes asked loudly as he ran toward her.

"I came to save you, you idiot," Vivienne replied.

"But how did you even find this forest?" Hermes asked, confusion filling his eyes.

Vivienne ignored the question. She grabbed Hermes by the hand and pulled him along.

"Don't worry. I'll explain everything once we get back to the city," she said as they ran.

As they fled through the forest, Hermes suddenly remembered something.

"Wait... I need to save a friend!" he shouted, stopping in his tracks.

"What do you think you're doing?" Vivienne yelled, staring at him in disbelief. "We have to leave this forest now! That demon is coming back!"

"I'm sorry... I have to go. I can't leave Richard behind," Hermes replied.

Without waiting for her response, he ran back toward the place where Richard had been left. Vivienne immediately chased after him.

When they arrived, Richard was sitting helplessly on the ground. Blood continued flowing from the deep wound in his thigh.

"Hey... you're going to be fine," Hermes said as he reached out and helped Richard to his feet.

Richard stared at Hermes in complete surprise.

Even after all the abuse he and his late friends had put Hermes through, Hermes had still returned to save him.

But before Hermes could lift Richard...

The demon returned.

In the blink of an eye, it snatched Hermes away with incredible speed.

With monstrous strength, it hurled him toward a massive tree.

Hermes slammed headfirst into the trunk.

A sickening crack echoed through the forest.

His forehead split open, and blood poured down the tree like a flowing river.

Hermes died instantly.

"HERMES!" Vivienne screamed uncontrollably as tears streamed down her face.

In that heartbreaking moment, it felt as though her entire world had come to an end.

Pity filled her heart as she looked at Vivienne.“My beautiful angel, I hope you are aware that Hermes is immortal while you are mortal?”Vivienne was shocked by the question.
