“You can leave now!” Reed said curtly the moment he has his gaze fixed on the man who seemed to be enjoying an evening wine with his phone fixed on his left ear as if that was all that mattered.

“Mr Reed, I don't know what difference you may have with Mr Cornell but I think you should give up now. This man is not someone you dare to mess with.

If you dare to try anything, he can kill you. A lot of guards surround him” Selena continued, her voice husky that he may hurt the gentleman she had come to admire cause of his simplicity.

At once, Reed could sense the brokenness laced in her voice. She had once been crushed.

Then, he held her hands and closed his eyes, travelling into her current mind while he hoped that she would not have to think about something else that could disrupt the whole process or have her hands jerked off from him.

Innermost whispers.

Then, he saw what Cornell did to her. A cold gaze appeared at the corner of his face. Turned out he must have hurt a lot of people than he imagined.

“I want you to know that man is just a fly in my presence.” Reed continued.

However, Cornell who had stayed long on a conversation while he had a sip of alcohol in his hands suddenly glanced at a distance and a woman walked out.

At first, Reed would never have believed that it was his ex who looked stunning over the period of years he hadn't seen her. However, he knew there was nothing money could not do.

A while later, he discovered that the woman was not Sharon. Only then did a scoff appear at the corner of his lips.

The man was actually cheating on her!

So much for choosing a loser over him.

“Oh, no one knows but that's the daughter of the prime minister of the country. Rumors has it that he wants to divorce his current wife to be with her because of power and status.

He gave up half of his wife's promised asset to acquire more fame forr himself also just to please her!”

Do you see more reasons I do not want you to go near Mr Cornell? He's dangerous!” She exclaimed.

The prime minister’s daughter? It was rumoured that she was nothing but a slut who would do everything possible to have whatever she wanted because of the acquired wealth of the citizen they managed.

Now, she went to be with Cornell?

Life really could be funny at times. Reed thought with a sinister gaze.

However, Reed looked at her intently that made her seem uncomfortable.

If only this woman knew that she had to watch out for other things than a very useless man.

“Do you like what he did to you?” He asked her. Confusion hit her immediately as she looked at him. For some reason, he seemed extremely strange.

“What?”

“Leave. I don't want you to get hurt” Reed said again. At least, she was the only sane person who had attended to him so well. The least he could do for her is to make sure that she gets back safe while she torments that man who thought that enjoyment would last forever.

“Huh? I can't….” Selena said in a panic. As a top security officer, she knew it was just a snap of finger that was needed for security personnel to get across them.

Apart from that, standby security officers were around also. A lot of secret hidden cameras were planted just in case anything went wrong.

“You will definitely lose your life. Don't you get it? I… I can't attract him. Just leave while you can”

Reed exhaled out and shook his head.

Only then did he grab her walkie-talkie and snapped his fingers. Immediately, it went off.

Selena hurriedly had it turned on in shock to see that nothing worked.

“What… did you just do?” She asked, her voice filled with tremor.

“Enough proof to make you know that he can do nothing to me. I'm a man of few words. Now, lead the way!” Reed said firmly, his teeth clanking.

Selena's shock tripped as she walked towards the man who embraced Beauty, the minister’s daughter.

“Sir!” She called out in a deep, baritone voice that was sensed to Reed that he actually did hated the man that made her life so miserable.

“Haven't I told you I do not want to be disturbed on occasions like this?”

Cornell asked, his back still turned against both of them while Reed scoffed again.

It was their anniversary moment and he was shameless enough to be with another woman.

When he chased after his ex, she must have thought she won a trophy by buying her way to the top. A man who can't keep his groin in a place would chase everything possible to acquire more wealth illegally than he could ever manage.

“I'm sorry, sir. You have a visitor”

Only then did Beauty turn around to see who the visitor was. Immediately, a frightened plus irritated look because visible on her face.

“Yuck! Who the hell are you? Who the hell did you bring to this place? Are you out of your senses, Selena?” The woman yelled out.

Only then did Cornell became attracted to her fanthom as he turned around to see a homeless looking man stare at him coldly as if he was around to kill him.

At first, a cold shiver ran down his spine. However, when he realized he had no reason to be scared all because of the numerous guards he had, he calmed down a bit.

“Who the hell is this gigolo?” Cornell asked plainly.

“I am sorry, sir. He claimed to see you and….”

“Do you bring everyone that wants to see my boyfriend to this place? What the hell is wrong with you?

With just a snap, I can fire you and…”

“Do you remember who I am, Cornell? I should strike a bell now!” Reed said in the most coldest voice ever that could send one off guards.
