However, Conrell snorted as if what the man said was gibberish.

Never had he seen such a man who looked so unkempt. After all, he never had anything to do with commoners.

Only then did he glare at Selena whose figure still attracted him. Yet, he did not want to offend the prime minister’s daughter.

She'd always seen him as someone of a high standard. If he talked rudely, she could change her mind toward him. Yet, he could not jeopardize the opportunity.

“Baby, would you give us a minute?” He asked softly just as the woman was about to carcass his chest. Only then did the woman glare at the homeless man before she left.

“Selena, what is the meaning of this? How dare you allow a stinky man to come into this premises? Worst still, my private garden?

You must have grown wings, huh?” The man asked her, infuriated.

Selena who had exhibited a presence of mannerism and professionalism earlier became hitched with fear as she looked downwards.

“You don't have to threaten her. As a matter of fact, I am here because I insisted on seeing you.” Reed said, cutting through the short silence.

Then, Conrell scoffed.

This man…. Seemed to have some hidden grudge against him and he must have thought now was the perfect time to iron it out.

“What? Commoners and audacity! I bet you are here because you want me to help you with a few bundles of cash! I do not have that! Now, get the fuck off!”

Cornell continued, his irritation itching. He couldn't believe he was standing next to a haggard man who had nothing to offer.

“A cash? Do you think I am really here for that, you thief?”

Reed wanted to say.

Yet, Reed who stayed silent after continued to watch his movement the moment he managed to know what was going through his mind. He knew at that instant that he was about to call his guards to lock him up.

“I'll suggest you do not do that or else, you will regret it!” He continued coldly while the trio looked at him.

Only then did Conrell realize that he really wasn't someone ordinary.

“What the hell do you want?”

He asked, not hiding his displeasure.

“Reed Sinclair. Does it ring a bell to you?” Reed asked him coldly, his anger unable to be kept under control.

What the hell is that name? He couldn't help but wonder as he stared at the homeless man intently. Only then did he realize that he was the same man from three years ago.

At once, laughter erupted from him so much that he almost fell off.

He was sure that he killed that commoner that wanted to stand in as a threat to him three years ago. Who the hell is this person then?

“You possibly could not have risen from the grave and if your boss, the real reed, sent you to me, don't you think your life is at stake? Or do you think it's all because you just got out of a dangerous prison, you can just show up at will?”

He asked and without waiting for an answer, he walked towards Selena who still seemed anxious.

“Oh my! This crazy man must have threatened you.” Conrell said and leaned towards her, “Why don't you come see me past midnight? I can teach you how to do your job well since you think it's everyone you can bring to see me!”

At once, Selena shivered. She knew what the man could do and what she had been avoiding all these while was slowly coming to pass.

“Do you remember this scar?” Reed asked and stretched his shoulder towards him. It turned out that was the same mark he was injured by the loan sharks Conrell had organized for him three years ago.

With no one to treat it, it started to decay even while in camp because Cornell specifically ordered for the medical center not to attend to him.

Worsened still, the prison mates bullied him constantly and made it bad. It was only after he got his powers that it healed up and obviously created a mark that could never fade off.

However, Conrell knew that he was injured but he wasn't sure what part.

“How the fuck am I supposed to remember that, you Scion?”

Reed scoffed. He still found it hard to believe it was him.

“You ordered the loan sharks to kill me and sent me to the most dangerous prison in the world even after taking away my father's business and constantly bullying my brother through the same people you sent to me!”

At once, fear enveloped him as he clenched his fist. It was really him. The same man they told him was dead.

How on earth was he still alive and worst still, what the hell is going on?

What exactly must he have done to have threatened Selena to make him come see him?

“It can't be…” He muttered to Reed's hearing who scoffed again.

Then, he hurriedly snapped his fingers and just as guards were starting to troupe in, Reed snapped his fingers to halt their movements.

Immediately, they stopped, frozen in time.

“What… who are you?”

Conrell asked with a gasp, his mind reeling.

The Reed he knew three years ago was nothing but a weakling. How did he get so many powers?

Now, he was nothing without his guard.

Reed however had made sure to wipe that memory from Selena.

Then, he dropped to his knees. First, this man has read his thoughts and knew that he was about to call his guards earlier and secondly, he created a disturbing chaos in his mind.

He still could not understand how the man suddenly became powerful. Could it be some kind of voodoo?

Instantly, he promised himself that he would look into it as soon as everything ended.

“Do you still want Sharon? Of course I can give her to you! Not like she's that sweet in bed. You can have her now! After all, she was meant to be yours! Just don't hurt me. I don't even know if you're a demon or not!”

He said, his mind clasping all together.

At once, Selena's eyes widened. Could it be that this haggard is actually Cornell's wife's original husband?

Just what the hell is going on?

Seventeen hours later~“Quick! Move the safe into the booth!” Mario screamed out in an order as he watched his subordinates did as he asked but it still seemed as if it was not enough. Suddenly, it felt as if someone was watching him but no matter how much he turned, he did not seem to see anyone. “My imaginations… that sick, strange man doesn't even know where I work. All he does it bluff!” He said with a sneer as he hurriedly went ahead to help his workers pack the loads since it felt as if they were wasting so much time. Inside his exquisite workplace were expensive furnitures and materials that he didn't want to leave behind and so, he'd ordered that every single piece of items including the slightest pin be moved. As for the building, he'd made sure to have it sold the previous night which wasn't difficult for him since most people wanted his space which was situated at the outskirts of the city. “How about this, sir? We can't take it along” Fabian asked, holding a piece of i

“Your boss?” Fabian asked with a stutter as he looked at Reed. It was that moment he realized how extremely bad he just made the situation become. “Yes, you idiot! And don't you ever refer to him as an ordinary person or else, you will cease to be my assistant!” But how could someone like this man be his boss? Didn't he know how embarrassing this situation seemed?Fabian asked. Then, he watched his boss’s lips curve into a light smile as he focused on the man. Something he hadn't don't to him for years. “Sir… do you know me?” He asked again. “I know who you are. You work directly for the gang Ruckus that go about stealing from people. Almost immediately, a thought ocuured to Fabian. If these silly people he called guards could not defeat Reed, he would call his boss who would definitely show up with about fifty million squads. Then, Fabian turned around. His heart skipped multiple beats at once when he realized that people were staring at him. He knew that if he did not hurriedly defeat this man, words would go to many places that he had probably lost his sense of reasoning and could not stand a pauper! At once, he dialled his bosss’ contact with mixed reactions. He knew his boss would tell and tackle him because he was not able to get a man below his status down. At least, that was better than there people who held him in high esteem judge him!“Hello, Sir Mario!” Sir Mario? That sounded very familiar! Reed thought as he took a closer glance on the Ruby as if he had not seen it before. However, he was only trying to check if it was not contaminated during the process of snatching it from him by Fabian. Intentio

“He better be taught a lesson that this isn't a calibre of his people!” Anna replied with contempt. At the other end of the hall was Reed. Within him, he was being calculative. He knew that these people could not stand a chance with him when it came to power. However, something bothered him. Among the men they sent over to fight him was a particularl man he was not sure he could contend with in power because he did not have the inner depth energy to fight him because of how drained he was. In one of the teachings of Xavier, he'd warned him never to fight off people he was not sure because it not only would drain him, it could take so long before he got his powers restored back. Then, Reed smiled coldly at the thought of something. His fingers fisted almost immediately. If he could not fight him with his energy, he definitely could manipulate his mind using the Quarter’s energy. At once, he completely compelled his mind under a special spell using his eyes while the man he thought

“How did I not see the beauty in this?” A cold stern looking man asked as he observed the natural ruby. For a start, he was known as Fabian- the greatest naturalist’s assistant. They went about gathering a lot of natural valuables and craft them into something else- more like fake to sell to rich people. However, they were too naive to understand that whatever he and his boss sold were just not original and hence, they took the original ones to themselves. On seeing the treasure in Reed's hands, he could not help but want it. At first, he'd called the person who auctioned the natural ruby. However, the man claimed to have sold the last piece to the bidder earlier who turned out to be Reed. Hence, he could not let go of it. Fabian was sure that if he brought the ruby to his boss, there would be great reward for him. After all, he and his boss did not seem to be on good terms for a while now because they had internal issues. “Boy, let me have this. I will pay you a million dollars”
