Alvin climbed back down and found a mask to cover his nose, in addition to a short broom and brush. He endured another torturous climb up and returned to his initial position.

The space was so compacted that he needed to crawl on his belly like some rat.

Rat! The moment he thought about it, he shuddered at the thought of a little rodent jumping on him. He shook his head, suppressing the disgust he felt, and used the broom to carefully sweep dirty matters aside, while also removing cobwebs to make a way for himself.

Soon, he arrived at the spot indicated on the digital map as the room he was looking for.

“System, is there something that I can use to see what's going on down there. Like an X-ray vision of some sort.” He said in his mind, sweating heavily.

He felt like someone in an oven, there was no source of air circulation in there, making his body look like steamed dumplings.

“There's an X-ray vision glass available indeed. You can have it, consider it a bonus from the

  • TOUGHER THAN EXPECTED

The robed figure raised a hand lazily. The air imploded. Alvin crossed the sword before him, blocking the attack. The impact hurled him back like a rag doll, smashing him through two containers. Ribs fractured, and he felt a warm sensation in his throat. Blood. He knew that much. Luckily, his absorbent material didn't let any blood drop. His face was covered with visors, protecting his eyes Pain detonated through his body, white-hot and blinding. He swung his sword around, destroying the container and swiftly emerging out of the rubbles. The grandmaster floated forward, feet still not touching the earth. “You dare steal from us? Does your family have enough lives to pay back?” Alvin activated his ghost step techniques, disappearing from the spot. Tens of attacks descended on the man in a nanosecond. With a swift swing of his bead, the man formed an arc, bouncing the attack back. Stray energy hit the masked men who were loading the remaining ones into the trucks. Three pul

  • Interception 2

Alvin slammed his palm onto the ground. “Shadow Step!” He became a blur, moving like a phantom, with each step more cartons disappeared, while the bullets caught other unfortunate people. But none of the men acted as if they felt the pain. Alvin reappeared atop a container, blood already seeping from a shallow graze along his ribs. The man in ripped jeans appeared behind him a black whip flying out like a snake tail. Alvin dodged the whip, bending in a position that defied gravity, forming a thirty degree angle with the container surface where he was. The man's eyes narrowed and he smirked. “Quite a bold one huh? Either you're unfathomably brave, or incredibly stupid. You even came alone.” Alvin scoffed and disappeared from the spot, making the bullets and dagger pointed at him hit others. “To deal with wastes like you…” Alvin whispered behind the man, stabbing four nails into his back. “Only I am enough.” The man groaned and expelled the nails. Too late. The nails

  • Interception 1

The person who seemed to be the leader of the little group of anomalies was saying something to the man in ripped jeans. “What are they saying? I can't understand a thing.” “The language seems to be from Uzbekistan.” The system answered. “Can you decode what they're saying?” Before the system could answer, one of the masked men tapped two points on the container, and the container’s two sides folded out, exposing the interior. There was a smaller shipping container inside of it, and it slid forward. The container was unlocked, and boxes of items wrapped as ‘fragile’ were being unloaded. The men seemed unnaturally strong, hurling four huge cartons at the same time, per person. One of the cartons was opened, and the man in ripped jeans brought out one, sniffing slightly. “Meth. Heroin. Soul Enchanter Weed.” The man in ripped jeans listed the items calmly, as though he were naming vegetables at a market stall. He snapped the carton shut and nodded, his expression unchanged.

  • ARE THEY TERRORISTS?

Bay AreaThe day workers who unload cargoes had ended their day's jobs, and accepted their pays from the various agencies which hired them. The wharf was slowly clearing out. By eight, roadblocks have been set up to prevent trespassers from entering. A man dressed in ripped jeans and black singlet came out of one of the temporary shelters, holding a flaming cigarette. He took a long drag, a slight frown on his face. The exhaled smoke formed rings before him. He walked around slowly, his eyes sharp and vigilant. Alvin concealed his aura where he hid. The man who looked like a regular thug didn't seem so simple to him. On the surface, he looked like every normal thug out there… just with a rougher edge. Yet, there seems to be this undertone of power around him. His eyes are melancholic, his demeanor calm like still waters. He leaned against a container, took another drag of his cigarette, and let it out. Alvin's nerves were taut. The smell of smoke permeating the environment was i

  • Environmental anomaly

One hour later, Alvin arrived three states away at Linois bay, the wharf where the contraband landed, awaiting movement once it's nightfall. He made his way to a deserted downtown area filled with abandoned industrial warehouses, which contained dangerous chemicals that could corrode the body and cause numerous illnesses when inhaled. The area was out of bounds, except for people with nefarious intentions. The government didn't need to enforce the restrictions or send anyone to monitor. The level of danger there was enough deterrent, even for daredevils. This place used to be a very popular chemical factory area. But the owners got careless, disposing of chemical wastes and heavy metals as they pleased. Poison permeated the environment as a result, making even the air deadly. Acid rain became a normale, making crops of nearby villages die or get toxic. The potatoes and carrots planted by the nearby village cleared out the entire population due to levels of toxins being absorb

  • Critical mission 5: Intercept the drugs

The moment Alvin arrived in his dressing room, he punched a series of spots on the wall, and the eastern partition slid open, ushering him into his secret space. “System, give me details.”“A drug ring suspected to have connections to blood zone mafia groups and shadow abyss, an affiliate of the evil organization, just brought in a batch of contraband materials. If those drugs enter the country market, the results would be devastating. We suspect there are other evil items hidden therein. That's why we must not let the cargo reach the headquarters. Stop them and steal the consignment at all costs.”He exhaled a deep breath, feeling a volcano pound in his vein, throbbing wildly with raw need. He needed to feel alive and immerse himself in the thrill of danger. This was what he was born to do. What he's destined to shoulder. “Drug rings huh? This is the first time you've ever asked me to intercept drug packages. What changed? Or could it be that there hasn't been any drug ring in Amer
