VILLA NUMBER SEVEN

The house was eerily quiet. Most people were done with their cultivations, now sleeping. Alvin was the only exception. He was still hunched over his workstation, investigating trails left by senator Bertrand.

“This conspiracy runs deeper than expected. If all these high ranking officials are part of the evil organization, then it would get more troublesome than I expected.”

“Master, another lab affiliated to the evil organization detected. Do you want to send a satellite to take a peep?”

Alvin kept silent. There have been lots of reports of gifted kids getting missing and it got worse after he confiscated their cargo, as if the evil organization was racing against time itself.

The amount of youth blood being lost was alarming. If Alvin didn't know better, he would have thought that a core member got severely injured and needed the blood for rejuvenation.

He sighed again, indeed, this was too troublesome.

“System, I've not gotten everything in place. I ca

Speed lane garage The moment Ryker rode into the workshop, he knew something was wrong. Percy was outside the broken gates, and an expensive car was parked just outside the gate, blocking the entrance. Ryker managed to weave between obstacles, because of his years of professional driving experience, involving many extreme activities. Percy rushed to him without waiting for him to park the bike. He removed the helmet, and got down, swinging his head to give his hair some air space. “Boss, someone is here again to see you, and they seem to be a big deal.” “Ah?” Ryker was confused. Didn't he already promise the General? They even fixed a time to meet later. Why was another person here? Percy looked uncomfortable and subtly motioned to the limited edition customised blood-red Rolls Royce boat tail, which was blocking the entrance. “Bro, be careful. The moment they arrived, I felt a chill deep down. Who did you offend? Weird people seem to be hovering around you a whole lot. T

  • Difficult decision to make

Ryker's Workshop, 1 a.m It's been two days since Alvin visited, and he couldn't stop thinking about it. Tonight also, while others slept, he remained wide awake, considering his options. The night was especially hot despite the cooling system. He was lying shirtless in bed, in his arms was a smiling Xinara sleeping without a care in the world. She was dressed in sheer white lingerie that seemed to cover her body while hiding nothing. Xinara's arm was coiled around Ryker's chest like a barnacle, as if afraid he would run away the moment she closed her eyes. He sighed, stroking her back absentminded. His eyes drifted worriedly to her, then at the picture of his family on the bed stand. He sighed again, a lot was going through his mind. What if Alvin didn't approach him with honest intentions? If it doesn't work out or they fall out mid way, would he come after his people? A light blinking on the night stand attracted his attention. His phone was ringing. Carefully, he dise

Dark island Like before, in the ghastly hall, the undead sentinels stood in rows. Strings of blood energy from the unknown ore suspended above a volcano formed hexagons which floated before their chests. On the throne carved from an unknown black stone, was the white haired Lord Min. He was wearing a special cloak which concealed his cultivation and current state of his body. His face was also covered to prevent others from seeing the terrible state he was in. Their organization was a dog eat dog type, if anyone notices he's not in top condition, they might gang up to try their luck. So that they could kill him and replace his spot. Although he was fairly confident of smacking down oppositions, he would rather not stress himself with the current state of his body. Lord Min's heart was filled with bitterness. Even after five days, he had not recovered from the ordeal caused by the problematic blood silk worms. He nearly suffered qi deviation, watching helplessly as some p

Soon, the energy settled down, healing all his old wounds and internal injuries he never told anyone about. For example, the wound from the metal spike during a street fight where he was ambushed on his way back from the Wright garage. Although the surface healed, leaving only a scar, deep inside, he knew that something was damaged, but couldn't bear to pay for a full body checkup when there were people who needed the money at home. So he convinced himself it was a tissue scar, and continued to endure. Unexpectedly, his chance encounter with Alvin made him whole. Other wounds and unnoticed sequelaes were erased. He felt more energetic, whole, and peaceful than he had in a very long time. He realized that the mysterious man truly didn't lie to him. It was even better than he initially thought. The healing was comprehensive, not just surface injuries. A new light began to ignite in his heart… it was hope. Hope that his sister could indeed make full recovery. He dialed a numbe

  • Definitely a magic trick

Ryker watched Xinara run out, towards the outdoor kitchen, and a small smile appeared on his face, full of doting affection. “Lovestruck fool.” Percy shuddered as he watched the scene before him. Ryker gave him a side eye. “It's because you're too ugly to find a girlfriend.” Percy’s expression changed instantly, and he glared daggers at him. Ryker looked away, pretending not to notice. He motioned towards another apprentice walking past while eating a sugarcane. “Ken, go check on little Xin. Watch her so she doesn't set the kitchen on fire. Help her light the gas. Be subtle about it, don't let her notice you're there to help.” Ken made a salute sign towards him, and turned to obey. He was slightly chubby, but cute. He was also intelligent and fiercely loyal. Half of Ryker's apprentices were older than he was, but it never stopped them from showing him the respect he deserved. He was that kind of person that commanded prestige wherever he went. Ryker was close to his subordi
