Jack ran to reach Hillary’s room before anyone could see him. Every so often, he turned around to make sure no one was following him.

The hallway leading to Hillary’s room was very dark and lonely. It felt like he was walking into a dungeon in some medieval castle.

He finally reached Hillary’s room and knocked hard so he would be heard.

“Hillary?”

There were a few seconds of silence, and Jack knocked again with his hand.

“Hillary... it’s Jack,” he whispered next to the door.

“I recognized your voice the first time. It’s obvious I don’t want to open the door... Go away!” Hillary shouted from inside the room without opening.

“Please, Hillary. I have something very important to tell you about Ricco.”

Those words turned out to be magical. The sound of the lock opening from the inside came quickly. In a matter of seconds, Hillary opened the door and looked Jack straight in the eyes.

“What happened to Ricco? Is he okay? Tell me right now!” Hillary demanded, clearly worried.
