Richard stepped inside the room and entered what seemed like a study. There was a huge and neat desk with glass top and a mahogany stand in the room and behind the desk sat an old man. There were some documents littered on the table and it seemed that the old man was going through them before James walked into the room.

Richard had expected the master to be someone who was high and haughty with plenty of women surrounding him ready to obliged to any of his demands. After all,it was a known thread that happen with wealthy men like this. However his imagination was a little too wild and completely different from the actual scene.

The master was no high and haughty person, but a simple old man.He was different from the actual person he has thought him to be.

As Richard was staring at the master, the master was staring at him in return. He narrowed his eyes and adjusted his glasses to take a closer look at Richard. After a few seconds of studying Richard turned to James who had been staring at him.

“Is this Richard Morgan?”

“Yes master. He is indeed young master Morgan.” James answered, bowing deeply to the old man.

The old man's eyes shone and if he was seeing who he had always been expecting to see.He stood from his chair and rushed over to Richard.

“Is it really young master Morgan!”The man said, touching Richard all over his body.

Richard felt uncomfortable at first, but decided not to move the old man away from him.He could tell that the old man was having a moment as tears fell continuously from his eyes.

After a few minutes, the old man was finally satisfied with touching Richard. He held Richard hands, showing no regards for his poor clothes and his look.Although Richard did not know the old man,he felt really warm in his heart at that treatment. It was nice to see someone not judging him because of his outfit.

The old man could not let him go,he held him and led him to the chair where he was sitting down and gave him a seat next to him.

“After 20 years we have found you,Richard Morgan”

Richard didn't understand what they meant. He was never missing,so why would they say that they had found him?

The old man noticed the confusion in Richard's face and sighed.

“I know you are very confused right now.You must have been very perplexed with all of this,so I will explain what really happened to you”.

Richard noded. He really needed an explanation for all of these. The old man sighed again before speaking.

“You see,20 years ago, when you were just five years old,my son Jasmine Morgan and his wife Diana Morgan was coming back from the office one day when they were caught up by a violent riot staged by some unscrupulous individuals. We all thought that they would be safe but that was not the case.”

Richard could see that the story the old man was about to tell him was a very painful one for him.But he needed to hear the story,no matter how painful it was for the old man,so he kept quiet.

“The the riot became so severe that it lead to the destruction of properties and claim the lives of people including that of my son and his wife” The old man said and Richard could see tears from the corner of the old man's eyes. The memories were still fresh to him although it happened 20 years ago.

When Richard heard what happened to his parents he felt really sad and a huge sense of loss overwhelmed him.

“We thought you died during the violent riot, but since there were no traces of your corpse found at the scene.I had strongly believed you were alive somewhere.

“I had my personal assistant James search the world constantly for you.We didn't know you were still alive or not. Finally after 20 years,we were able to find you.” The old man said, tears rolled down his cheeks as it was tears of joy.

Richard looked at the old man with warmth in his gaze now.It turned out that his parents had died from a violent riot and his body was not at the scene of the incident.

He remembered what the matron at the orphanage had told him.She had told him that a good samaritan man had bought him to the orphanage, and told her his name. She was obligated to retain his name and not change it.

The old man reached out to James, his personal assistant, to hand him the family picture they once took. The old man had treasured that picture so much because that was all he had left of his son but since his grandson was alive things will have to take a new dimension.

He handed over the picture to Richard. “These was a family picture taken years ago.You should take a look”The old man suggested.

Richard could clearly see the resemblance on his face with the people in the picture.

“Are these my parents?” Richard asked.

“Yes.They are Jasmine Morgan and Diana Morgan, your parents.” The old man nodded.

Richard remained silent.Everything was too much for him to take in at the moment. It still felt so unreal to him. After a few seconds of silence, the old man spoke again.

Richard,I know this is alot for you to take in,but I hope you can understand. We did want to find you sooner, but we never expected it to take this long.I heard from Jame the life you lived.I'm sorry for putting you through all those hardships.” The old man said apologetically.

“It's not your fault, old man. There was no need to apologize.If.at all I should be grateful that you found me” Richard replied.

The old man nodded. After all these years of shouldering the huge burden,he was finally liberated. He looked at Richard again before speaking and there was a different gazed in his eyes as he spoke.

“It's time for you,Richard Morgan to forget your old life aside and claim your proper place as the heir of the Morgan Empire”

The large, polished windows of Richard's mansion offered a view of the city below. He had spent the better part of the past few weeks reclaiming what was rightfully his, maneuvering through legal battles and business challenges. The weight of those battles had been exhausting, but at least the storm seemed to be passing. His empire was starting to rebuild itself, piece by piece, but Richard knew that he couldn’t rest on his laurels. He had far more to give, far more to achieve. As he sat in the warmth of his home, sipping on a glass of water, his phone vibrated in his pocket. The familiar ping caught his attention, and Richard glanced down to see the notification. It was from an email address he hadn’t expected to hear from. An email from the orphanage—the very place that had shaped his childhood, the place where he had learned the true meaning of survival. His heart skipped a beat as he read the subject line: Urgent: Orphanage in Need of Help.Opening the email, Richard felt a pang o

Richard stood in front of his mansion, the cold wind biting at his face as he stared up at the imposing gates. He had been here many times before, but this time, there was no sense of pride or ownership in his heart. Only anger. Anger at Linda for taking everything from him, and anger at himself for being manipulated. He could still hear the echo of her voice in his mind—the way she had treated him, the lies she had spun, and the way she had used his son, Jacob, as a pawn in her game. The gates, once a symbol of power and wealth, now felt like an impenetrable fortress. The guards at the entrance recognized Richard immediately but gave him no special treatment. Linda’s influence had extended far beyond the walls of the house, and the tight security measures she had put in place made it clear that she was prepared for any attempt to reclaim the empire she had stolen. But Richard wasn’t afraid. If anything, the weight of the truth he now held in his hands made him more determined than ev

Richard’s heart skipped a beat, his stomach twisting with dread. "What do you mean?"Dr. Matthews looked down at the floor for a moment, as if he were gathering his thoughts. “The results of the DNA test… they were fake.”Richard’s jaw dropped. “What?”The doctor wiped a tear from his cheek before looking Richard in the eye. “I never intended for you to find out like this. But it’s the truth. Linda… she approached me months ago. She offered me a hefty sum to manipulate the results. She promised me a generous reward when she gained control of the Morgan Empire—she said she’d make sure I was well taken care of if I helped her claim the empire as her own.”Richard’s chest tightened. He felt as though the air had been sucked from the room. “So you lied to me. You fabricated the results. That boy…” Richard trailed off, struggling to understand what he was hearing. “He’s not my son?”Dr. Matthews’ face twisted with regret. “No. I’m sorry, Richard. He’s not your son. The drive to Dr. Matthews’ home felt like an eternity. The weight of the vial in Richard’s pocket seemed to grow heavier with each passing minute. When they finally arrived at the doctor’s house, Richard followed him inside, where a soft light emanated from the living room. In the corner of the room lay a small, frail boy, barely older than six or seven. His skin was pale, his breath shallow.Dr. Matthews rushed to his son’s side, his face etched with worry. “Jacob,” he whispered, gently shaking the boy awake. “Jacob, I’ve got something for you.”Richard watched from the doorway as Dr. Matthews carefully opened the vial of Xan Ling. With shaking hands, he poured a single drop onto his son’s tongue. The boy stirred, his eyelids fluttering, but there was no immediate reaction. Richard could feel the tension mounting in the room.“Please,” Dr. Matthews whispered, almost pleading. For a moment, nothing happened. But then, slowly, Jacob’s breathing began to steady.
