“You couldn’t even trace the signal Tommy! Whoever sent this tip is someone we can’t deal with right now, lets first worry about what we know, this case Is going to change city 17 forever.” Said Demetri to the young tower observer, his facial expression crumbling in dissatisfaction, he took this case so he could meet Perla Brinlin, now he will have to be the lead investigator on a massive case.

‘What a rotten luck I have today!’ he sighed, he was too lazy to even do field work, and if he drop this case, he will never hear the end of it from his boss.

Every peace keeper in the vicinity of the park that Adam just flew out of, started playing one message in unison, as if they all had one voice.

(Attention! All citizens of city 17, this is emergency. For your safety, Return to your home in orderly manner. Any outside activity is banned for the next 48 hours. Hostile actions against property or personal will be retaliated.)

This message played in Adam and Mela’s ears until they entered the building.

“What is going on Adam! Is there an alien invasion?!” Mela was scared, she kept watching the peace keepers guiding the citizens to their homes and occasionally arresting some people and trapping them inside the peace keeper drone, the drone would then fly towards the tower.

“Aliens are not real Mela. I think they found some criminal organizations or something! Lets go watch the news.” Adam said with slightly visible smile, he didn’t think his actions would trigger a city scale emergency curfew.

This kind of emergency didn’t happen in the city for more then a 100 years, most people alive now didn’t even know of the existence of the emergency protocol.

After all citizens return to their home, the peace keepers will start an all out war against the criminal organization. isolating them to guarantee the safety of civilian is the highest priority of the emergency protocol, the peace keeper drones would scan every one in the city after it ends, and those who were in contact with the organization would be questioned.

‘Not even the tower knew about this organization!’ Adam thought to himself. ‘Or maybe they knew and turned a blind eye to their existence until we tipped the press.’

Adam didn’t know that he could send and receive signals from his constructs, until he received the notification from the exoskeleton suit on Mela when the stranger approached her.

He was surprised a second time when the symbiote revealed that it can scan electronic devices using the signal produced by the constructs.

‘Is there any thing else I can do that I don’t know?’ he asked inwardly, he wanted to know the limits of his abilities. so far, he only got to test the cluster fabric manipulation skill.

[Electromagnetic manipulation: gained by consuming amplifier stone. can manipulate and produce electromagnetic waves on any length and frequency. Further testing is required for the full application of the ability.]

‘what amplifier stone??!’ Adam wondered.

[The main component needed from the robotic system core. Amplifier stone is a natural radio active element that magnify electromagnetic waves, it’s used in long range electronics and machines. found mainly on planet Gliese 876d.]

‘So I only needed to eat that stone! and you made me eat the whole core?!’

[To mimic and produce the correct wavelength and frequency of human technology, consumption of electronic component is required for deep analysis.]

‘Deep analysis my a*s! That felt like sh*t.’ Adam snapped when he remembered the pain he felt when he ate the 60 cores.

Mela noticed his facial expression and thought there is something wrong with him, she didn’t want to be a burden, so she decided to go home.

Adam didn’t stop her, he escorted her to her door and withdrew the cluster fabric from her body, he had too much on his mind right now, including his father’s whereabouts. After taking his mind off things for a while and having enough fun, it was about time to start working again.

“Contact my father.” He ordered the core when he entered the core area.

The house system core started contacting Adam’s father, every time it tried it couldn’t get an answer.

Meanwhile, Adam opened a shopping window. ‘how many nutrient packs do I need for the next storage capacity upgrade?’ Adam didn’t want to continue the plan or to consume the gravity stone before enhancing him self further, he hoped it would hurt less if he got stronger.

The amount of gravity stones in the astrogravitational engine, is several times more than the amount of amplifier stone he absorbed, it was bound to be a world of pain.

[Bodily tissues and functions are still adjusting, any further upgrade can damage the process. 10 days Cool down is advised. For the next upgrade, estimated 100 nutrient package is required, or a more efficient nutrition source.]

‘so I have no choice but to endure the pain!’ Adam sighed.

His father trained him on how to fight and defend himself whenever he was home, learning how to escape various scenarios and how to assemble and disassemble weapons was a part of the training. The way he got familiar with the pain is because he constantly failed the training.

No pain was ever at the level of what he experienced since he found that stone in the forest. He endured the pain with his desire to get stronger, and thinking of the rewards he gained so far, the pain seemed insignificant.

He bought a robotic core for Mela, which cost him way more then any toy core would, and also bought her a top grade cluster fabric, the best cluster fabric authorized for civilian activities.

Adam intended to alter the programming of the core to allow Mela to use her own exoskeleton suit, which would make her life way easier, he hoped the symbiote could accomplish this task.

While on the shopping window he decided to check the prices of the exoskeleton suit blueprints, and he was astonished. The cheapest exoskeleton suit had a power of only 250 kilogram of force, and it cost 125 thousand coins.

He didn’t yet know how much force the exoskeleton suit he designed with the help of the skill had, but was definitely sure its way more then 250 kilogram.

The exoskeleton suit with the highest force in the shop had a one thousand kilogram of force, costing a 700 thousand coins, and it came with its own core and cluster fabric, it couldn’t be used on just any core.

‘is it possible to adjust the core’s programing to add a blueprint?’ Adam wanted to be sure it’s going to work, if it’s not possible he would try to find another way to help her.

Mela is his first friend, he would spare no effort in helping her. And money is not a problem for him, the time he got caught by the department taught him that having money is useless when he is too weak to even reach the money his father left for him, and he would have no access to it any way if he escape, so why not use it to the fullest.

[Using the connected cluster fabric to modify electronics should be possible, success rate estimated to 75%. Further testing is required.]

Hearing this, Adam had an idea, what if he could use the amount of cluster fabric in the apartment to defend himself as well.

He approached the house system core and rested his hand on the ball that had a diameter of 30 cm. ‘scan this core and see what kind of modification can be applied to it.’ Adam ordered, previously the symbiote only used the core to access the global network, and due to the overload that occurred, it didn’t have any chance to scan the core itself.

The dense smooth ball fell to the ground, bypassing the gravity field that previously contained it. It plunged a few centimeters deep into the hard metal floor, a ton of force was concentrated in a small area, making it hard to contain it by regular matter. It was still sinking through the metal floor slowly, as it was being mercilessly pulled by the planet’s gravity.[Connection established. recalculating blueprints to adapt to the signal of the new nanite cluster fabric. More physical contact with the material is required for a faster result.]“Was it successful?!” Keet’s eyes were asking the question before he even moved his lips. He was startled by the sudden disengagement of the sphere from the gravity field. He kept his eyes and scanners on Adam to detect if he is in danger before any thing, and he was relieved for once to see Adam’s expressionless face unchanging. “Can you control it?.”“Yes! The signal is different from any other cluster fabric, my blueprints needs to be modif

“she just disappeared a year after you were born, and in her place there was a message, telling your father to provide them with a certain type of technology if he ever wants to see her again.” Keet said desperately, his voice struggling in a way.“People don’t just disappear!” Adam chuckled, he was hearing about his mother for the first time, and the first thing he hears about her is that she just disappeared. The first thing that came to his mind was that she might have abandoned him and his father. Or that she could be working with the Rinvar clan.“They don’t, but when you see this you may believe the opposite.” Keet created a screen and played a video of a woman singing a sweet lullaby for an infant wrapped in a sky blue blanket with twinkling stars all over it that seems to be moving about. The woman was sitting on a flowery wooden chair rocking back and forth. She appeared to be on some kind of a ship traveling in space, a foreign star constellations were visible from a window

  • Supernova.

“please continue!.” Adam said. Seeing the shocked expression on Keet’s face, Adam thought that the symbiote created something amazing, so he inwardly requested the details of those spiders. However they were just normal spider scouts, like the one Adam used to kill the man who attempted to kidnap Mela.Keet’s surprise wasn’t triggered by the blueprint itself, he counted 8 spiders rushing in all directions at the same time, and the 8 if them seemed semi-intelligent while moving all over the base exploring about. Even Keet wouldn’t be able to accomplish such a level of control without automating the constructs.Which means either the spiders were all automated and the young kid already knows how to automate drone actions, which would be scary at his age. Or he was directly controlling 8 individual actions while still focusing on their talking, which would be horrifying. The reason Keet didn’t consider the probability of an artificial intelligence, is that the spiders were mostly just to

Adam plunged into the ground raising a cloud of dust and creating a small crater around him as he landed like a super hero on one knee and a closed fist.[The modified armor blueprint features ionic thrusters with up to 8 tons of pushing force.]‘you telling me this now?!’ Adam shouted inwardly at himself, he had no idea that the symbiote modified the armor already. his cognitive abilities and thinking speed were on another level compared to yesterday, but still he was a human that easily got distracted by the feeling of freedom and liberation, and forgot all about the need to stop and land at some point. He also wanted to show off a little in front of Keet to pretend that he wasn’t in need of help or assistance, which resulted in a minor knee bruise and a sore knuckles.“That was a cool Landing. Was it painful?!.” Keet chuckled, commenting on his landing and making sure to save the footage of it in his memory for later use.“You noticed! Well! It just needs some practice.” Adam smile

  • Not again.

“You should come with me to the main base first.” Keet said to Adam, pointing at the middle of the island. The main base wasn’t far from where they were, the whole island was 20 km across, it would take them less then a minute to reach there flying.“Okay you go first and set a beacon, I’ll test some old tech with this new unlimited energy.” Adam didn’t argue with him, but he was still going to do his tests. He turned his clothe into a skin tight jump suit with a helmet covering his face. Two long thin wings grew from his back, ending with a jet engine each.“Do you know how loud these things are?! If you break the sound barrier with them you could damage many equipment on the island. You should try something else.” Keet stopped Adam from firing up the engines. he hated this era of technology for its too little care for the planet’s well-being. Unlike the mock engines that Adam was planning to use, the real ancient jet engine used a dangerous fossil fuel, which didn’t just endanger th

  • A small conversation.

Adam was sitting on a wooden table behind the house, eating his big breakfast while surrounded by trees, flowers, and whistling birds. The rich sunlight bathed him in its warmth and its wide spectrum of electromagnetic radiations. “Birdy didn’t wake up yet?! He sure doesn’t miss Gem.” He said stuffing his face with more food, He stopped focusing on chewing much, the food would disappear in a few seconds anyway. He was worried about Birdy, it was unnatural for the kid to sleep in.Birdy used to wake up earlier then every one, Adam would sometime Hear him laughing on the top bed, he thought at first that he was having some weird dream. When he asked him about it, Birdy Said that it was the only time of the day he would quietly enjoy reading his comics.“That boy is actually quite something! He trained for four hours straight after you went to sleep, not taking any rest until he passed out on the living room’s floor.” Keet informed Adam while aiming a barrage of scanners and detectors at
