After Duncan issued his orders, Michael quickly headed off with a grim expression.

"I’ll give you... Let's say, ten minutes. After ten minutes, a bar named X.O will no longer exist."

With that, Duncan sat back down in his original spot.

"Coke really is the most reasonable choice."

Hearing Duncan’s words, the waiter felt as if his entire worldview was crumbling.

Demolishing a bar just because they didn't have Coke? What kind of logic was this?

Harry stared at his phone and swallowed hard, feeling completely at a loss. He still hadn't discovered exactly how terrifying the power of that mysterious family was; he only knew their influence and potential were immense. If he followed Duncan's lead, would he survive? But then again, if he didn't follow Duncan, he would likely die right here, right now."I... understand..." Harry replied, his voice wavering slightly."Are you still doing well, Mr. Harry?" The voice on the other end belonged to a woman, and it was quite sharp.Duncan found the female voice somewhat familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before. However, he couldn't quite place it."And how exactly should I be?" Harry glanced at Duncan's expression and quickly adjusted his tone."It's good that you're fine. But as for Leopold... I’m afraid he can't be kept.""Naturally. He must be discarded. He no longer has any value," Harry replied in a deep, somber voice.

  • Chapter 64 - The End of Harry

Harry looked at Duncan’s face, feeling an intense sense of unease. He had always prided himself on keeping everything within his grasp, and this was the first time things had spiraled completely out of control.Even back when he was affiliated with that mysterious family and manipulated by them, he had still managed to pull some strings behind their backs. But facing Duncan, he felt a sheer, overwhelming terror. Perhaps compared to that great family, the man standing before him was the truly terrifying one."Very soon," Duncan repeated once more.Harry offered no further resistance. He knew that the more he struggled, the faster he would lose his life."Cloud-Mist Mountain..." The road leading up to the mountain appeared before his eyes."Could it be... You are..." Harry’s eyes widened as he recognized the familiar scenery, and then he turned his gaze back to Duncan.Duncan said nothing, but his eyes confirmed everything. He hadn

  • Chapter 63 - Sweeping Away the Goodrich Family

The waiting hall was now occupied only by a group of bodyguards, Leon Goodrich and his daughter, and Leopold, who was hunched over on the floor as if kneeling. Harry, meanwhile, waited on the sidelines for an opportunity to escape."Well, consider this a little exercise," Duncan said, stretching his arms. Before the guards could even swing their batons, Duncan had knocked them out. Some were kicked, flying into the rows of guest seats, while others had their arms snapped on the spot. Simultaneously, Duncan utilized a protective array around himself, making it impossible for the guards to even lay a finger on him.Harry watched the carnage, knowing full well that with Duncan’s strength, these men were completely useless. However, he was currently pinned down by a restrictive formation and found it difficult to break free. A thought flashed through his mind."Leopold.Quickly, throw me that knife." Harry shouted.Duncan heard the cry and s

  • Chapter 62 - The Madman

Before Harry could even comprehend what had happened, he saw Duncan standing back in his original position. Meanwhile, on the other side, Leopold was already sprawled on the ground."You... you dare..." Leopold was in so much pain that he couldn't even form a complete sentence. It seemed his leg had snapped during Duncan's very first strike. The most uncanny part was that Duncan had moved so fast that no one had actually seen how it happened."What? Done acting?" Duncan smiled like a demon from the depths of hell, looking down at Leopold as if he were already a dead man.Garrett watched this scene in horror and scrambled backward, her previous display of affection for Leopold completely vanishing."The two of you really are a perfect match. I suppose I should offer my congratulations, shouldn't I?" Duncan rubbed his chin, appearing to be deep in thought. The surrounding crowd watched him, drawing in sharp breaths as they waited in silence fo

  • Chapter 61 - Astonishment

Duncan looked at Harry and curled his lips into a smirk. He knew all too well that Harry and Leopold had exchanged some sort of illicit benefits; today, he intended to sweep them all up in one net."Garrett, what should you be calling Edward? I wasn't aware that Miss Garrett had broken off her engagement with him," Duncan said, completely ignoring Harry’s remarks."Hmph, that’s ancient history. Now he’s nothing but a convict, a useless man whose morals and character are beneath contempt," Garrett said, raising her voice. After all, with various families and the media present, she believed Duncan wouldn't dare strike anyone, no matter how reckless he was. The sheer weight of public opinion would be enough to drown him. Thus, Garrett spoke with an air of self-righteousness.Even if people knew about her past relationship with Edward, so what? Wasn't it a fact that Edward was in prison for rape? Did they expect Miss Garrett to marry a sex o

  • Chapter 60 - Exposed

Duncan looked at the two members of the Goodrich family, feeling an overwhelming sense of disgust. When Edward was in his prime, they were the ones who had proactively sought him out, making countless promises. And now? They were desperate to scrub away any trace of their relationship with Edward."So, it seems I was mistaken?" Duncan remarked, wanting to see just how far their deceit would go.Leon Goodrich stepped down and approached Duncan, leaning in close to whisper a threat."If you're smart, you'll get out of here. At the very least, I can throw a little money your way."He assumed Duncan was merely there to cause trouble and that, ultimately, it was all about the money. Leon had seen all the potential Edward possessed back then; he only blamed the man for being unlucky enough to be framed and ruined.Who in City Neon didn't know they had played a part in that downfall? But even if people knew, so what? Neither of those two men
