When Leit opened the door to the outside world, he found himself just outside the apartment he was living in. There was a long hallway with many doors with numbers on the them. His apartment was numbered 499 and seemed to be the last apartment so Leit chose left and walked calmly in the hallway.
Everything he came across didn't feel new to him, it was new to him. At the end of the hallway was the elevator and Leit entered it. Anime had taught him many things about the outside world and technology and it was now time to apply this information in real life.
The elevator opened a bipedal iguana family walked out of the elevator and ignored Leit who was looking at them with curiosity and awe. Leit then quickly entered the elevator and pressed one. The elevator doors closed and for the first time in his life, Leit experienced inertia and it wasn't a good experience. A few minutes later, the elevator doors opened and a huge lobby with different bipedal species was revealed to Leit.
The place looked luxurious and high class like it was for the wealthy. Leit looked at everyone with curiosity but they just ignored him, who would care about a skinny old man, they got better things to do. Leit saw the entrance and exit of this building and quickly walked towards it and the doors opened automatically and finally, Leit was out of his hell hole.
Once outside, Leit didn't expect it to be so dusty.
‘So that's why everyone was wearing scarfs and masks.’ he thought as he chose a random direction and ran away.
Swoosh!
Leit's speed was so fast that he left a dust trail behind since the road wasn't paved or built using any special material. Leit was running at an impressive speed of 45 000 kilometres per hour, 750 kilometres per minute and 12.5 kilometres per second. He was ten times faster than bullet speed but he didn't know that, at least not now.
‘How do I stop?! How do I stop?!’ thought Leit as he was about to crash through a group of fancy armoury wearing people.
“Rirr, incoming!” said the bird headed man and a tall and muscular beetle headed person wearing heavy armour stood in front of Leit. The heavy armour was D-Rank equipment so it was strong but when this Rirr guy came into contact with Leit, he knew, he fucked up.
Bang!
Whoosh!
Rirr's armour shattered and Leit passed through his body like he was a curtain of water. Leit then tumbled on the ground before coming to a stop. His clothes were dirty and covered in blood and sand, even his hair and face had blood on it.
Plop!
“You killed him… You killed Rirr! Why did you kill our teammate?! Huh, why did you kill him when he was only trying to help?! If you don't give me a valid reason then I'm calling the cops!” said the bird headed man but unfortunately, he didn't understand a word he was saying.
“Captain, I don't think he understands a word you're saying.” said a gorgeous lady with snake eyes and tongue.
“Take this! Put it around your neck! Put. It. Around. Your. Neck.” said the bird headed man, slowly, while also making gestures. Leit had seen Tom wearing a similar gadget so he also wore it around his neck.
“Do you understand me now?!” shouted the bird headed man.
“Loud and clear, there's no need for you to shout.” said Leit while covering his ears.
“Why did you kill my teammate?” asked the bird headed man while pointing at Rirr who had a humanoid hole and nothing in that hole.
“I'm sorry for what I did and I'm sorry for your loss. This is my first time outside my room so I got a little carried away and didn't control my speed, if there's a way to peacefully solve this then I'm all for it.” explained Leit.
“What? Your first time outside your room? Do you think I'm going to believe your nonsense?! Why would you keep yourself cooped up in your room your entire life?”
“Huh, I was… practicing! Yes, I was practicing. I started practicing when I was seven years old and I'm now eighty two years old. I've been practicing for seventy five years and a few days ago, I was enlightened and my strength rose from F-Rank all the way to B-Rank. That's why I'm behind the times.” said Leit calmly.
“Wait a minute, you're a B-Rank Awakener?!” exclaimed the bird headed man.
‘Phew, fortunately you didn't ask me to explain how I got enlightened.’ thought Leit.
“I'm a Low B-Rank Awakener.” answered Leit.
“Really, then would you like to join my team and become a mercenary? We travel a lot so you'll come across a lot of unbelievable things, make friends and go to different planets. Someday, we can even go to Earth where all the strong people live.”
The bird headed man was no fool and wasn't a mercenary leader for no reason. From the little information that Leit gave them, he collected it all and created a larger web then connected the dots. From Leit's bumpkin-like appearance, no devices on his person and lack of strength control, he deduced that what Leit said was mostly the truth.
“Earth?! I went to go to Earth, take me there!” said Leit with glowing eyes.
“Join our mercenary group first.”
“Okay, I agree to be a part of your mercenary group now take me to Earth!” said Leit.
“Calm down. I'll explain everything to you on the way, let's talk while we walk.” said the bird headed man and began to explain everything to Leit.
It turned out to be far more complicated to enter planet Earth. Firstly, you had to have not just a lot of money but also connection with people in high places because there were only two ways to go to Earth, either with a spaceship or with a teleportation channel which was very expensive. Secondly, one had to be an A-Rank Awakener or just one A-Rank Awakener in a group would suffice and thirdly, you had to register at the Awakener Association and have a clear record.

“Excuse me but are you the guys selling S-Rank corpses of Minotaurs? You seem l fit the description perfectly. We'd like to buy all of them.” Jason and Tony were blocked by a group of cloaked figures with only their mouths visible under the cloak. ‘Are we famous already?’ thought Jason.“Hey, do you know what you're saying? We have at more than eight hundred corpses, can you even afford to buy them all?” asked Tony. “Eight hundred?! Good, good! I believe this will be enough to cover the costs.” said the leading figure and gave Tony a storage ring. Tony took the storage ring, checked it and almost lost his life. “Who in the world are you?!” asked Tony with a shocked and fearful voice. “Just a bunch of humble believers.” replied the man. They took the storage ring filled with Minotaur corpses and left. Tony and Jason also didn't dawdle around and left in a hurry.…Ganzo stood in the middle of the round table where he was surrounded by holographic projections with different colours
Chapter 35: Blissard Family Wealth
The splattered blood of Canva entered the Minotaur’s corpse through the openings, the nose, ears, mouth and even the pores. Once inside the Minotaur’s body, Canva’s blood started to devour the Minotaur's blood and the corpse started to deflate and dry up. “What's happening?” asked Tony. “He's evolving.” answered Kodin. “Evolving?”“Yes, the process by which Vampires evolve is very unique and envious but it's only applicable to pure blooded Noble Vampires. Canva isn't just absorbing the blood of the corpse but also absorbing its strength and assimilating it into himself. When he's done absorbing, Canva will be an S-Ranker with all the powers, abilities, memories and everything that the corpse has.” explained Kodin. “Wow, such a mystic ability. Then doesn't that mean that Vampires can quickly grow stronger and are probably very strong?!”“Yes, this ability is really amazing but it also has its drawbacks. For example, a person killed by you and a person killed for you yields differen
Chapter 34: Elderly
In a 50 million mile radius, all kinds of sea creatures were floating at the area's surface and before them was an absolutely colossal dragon and an even more colossal mountain where the dragon was staying. Every sea creature present was holding a treasure and offering it to the mighty dragon. ‘With so many treasures, I'm sure I'll finally be able to level up to the next Rank. I never expected to reach the Legendary Rank to be this difficult. Why does it even have a Period of Accumulation!’ thought Leit. The Period of Accumulation was the stage upon which something or something couldn't just advance to the next level but had to slowly accumulate on what they wanted to level up. For example, a swordsman, after reaching the peak of salesmanship, the swordsman still had to practice everyday even though there no longer was improvement. After training for some time then the swordsmanship would undergo a qualitative change, this was the Period of Accumulation.‘F-Rank to D-Rank treasures
Chapter 33: Sea Emperor
A wingless dragon and unicorn clashed again and again in the sky, creating shockwaves that spread through the ocean and constantly created sinkholes that weren't filled because of the immense gravitational force that prevented the water from even flowing. To fight the ten of thousands of kilometres big dragon, the Unicorn also enlarged itself to the same size and its speed didn't reduce in the slightest. In fact, it was the dragon that was full of puncture wounds and hadn't even touched the Unicorn even once. For a dragon, this was a very embarrassing moment but the dragon didn't seem to care much about its wounds and kept on fighting. Dark clouds had condensed in the sky and the tides were rising in places not affected by the gravitational pull. [Give up! If you continue fighting me, you'll end up dead!] said the Unicorn but Leit didn't listen to it, continued to claw and throw boulders at the Unicorn which it easily dodged. …In the heart of the Oppenheimer territory where there
Chapter 32: Unicorns
When Leit opened the containers, some of them had beasts caged inside them and amongst these beasts, there was one beast that stood out the most. And it stood out in the way that as soon as it was released from its cage, it brought light to the world. [A baby Unicorn, how cute it is. As it's a Treasured Beast, will my appearance be the same as it if I obtain the Unicorn Transformation Skill from it?] wondered Leit. Arklo had already disappeared into the sea with his orca army.[Mhm?] as Leit pondered about his Unicorn Transformation, he felt something fast approaching, like really fast. said Dream. [Unicorns?!] exclaimed Leit as he checked the interior of the container and figured out what was going on. The containers were built in such a way that there was no leakage of energy or any way to send signals or communication. Inside this container, a beast or person was separated from the rest of th
Chapter 31: Arklo
“Captain… come take a look at this…”“What is it?”“Just come and take a look!”A massive cargo ship that was approximately a kilometre long moved through the ocean with large containers on it. The cargo ship moved very slow and its horn scared all the fish away. This cargo ship had the word “Oppenheimer” painted on it. The captain of the ship who was an old man took the binoculars from the scout to see what he wanted to show him. “Is that… is that a sandstorm?! But… but… we're in the ocean, how can there be a sandstorm in the middle of the ocean. Code Red! I repeat, Code Red! Go wake up the young masters! Quickly!” the old man gave out command after another. The alarm of the cargo ship also went off, alarming everyone about the impending danger and to be prepared for battle. Soon, the sandstorm reached the cargo ship and completely engulfed it. Inside the sandstorm, everyone squinted their eyes to block the dust from entering their eyes. The old man felt like he was in the desert a
