Chapter 24

Carl was on his way to the VIP table that had just been assigned to him when he noticed Dianna. He stopped by her table and took off his Mexican hat. He was dressed in one of his exotic three-piece Italian suits.

William went on with his opening remark.

Carl extended his right hand toward Dianna. She placed her palm into his with a smile. Carl leaned and kissed the back of her palm.

“Congratulations Dianna. You’ve always been a star.” He said, flashing a dubious grin.

Dianna gave a half smile and slowly withdrew her hand from his. “Thank you.”

After concluding his remark, William declared the event open and headed straight toward Carl.
