“This system interface… it’s different from the one I remember.”

“Tch. Everything feels unfamiliar.”

Marcus sat up straight, brushing away the storm of negative thoughts.

He wasn’t the type to give in easily.

Even if the situation now felt chaotic—uncertain, disorienting—it didn’t matter.

Because now, even if he didn’t fully understand the purpose of this new panel, the functions he did recognize… were enough.

Enough to make him stronger—far stronger than before.

He scanned the interface closely.

In the past, it didn’t display things like his name, age, spirit, or physical stats. Back then, it only showed the skill he was focusing on, his unlock points, and his Eternal Energy.

He shook his head and kept observing.

Physical Fitness reflected his bodily capabilities like healing speed, reaction time, muscle density, bone strength, and more. All things tied to the body.

Spirit, on the other hand, represented his spiritual potential.

For most ordinary people, those values sat around 3 or 4.

Anyone with more than 4 points in either could be considered worthy of becoming an Eternal Warrior.

His physical stat was 5. Spirit: 9.

It looked good… but it wasn’t.

At his age, 5 points was decent among civilians or regular Eternal Warriors. But Marcus had inherited a superior bloodline—that of the Abomarian clan. For someone like that… 5 was on the low side.

As for the spirit stat?

9 was a lot. But Marcus suspected that had something to do with his return to this alternate past. Otherwise, it would probably have been around 5 too.

His gaze moved down… to the Eternal Energy line.

He sighed.

“I remember having close to a million and a half units in reserve… but that was due to my overuse of ‘All for One’…”

All for One—a forbidden technique he invented after 13 years of research.

Its power was worth the cost, sure.

An SS-rank forbidden ability, it compressed the body’s cells into a unified structure for short bursts of overwhelming force. But afterward? Some cells died permanently. It crippled future potential and drained energy reserves drastically.

Marcus had used that technique to rise to fame across the six nations.

But that fame brought greed, betrayal… and eventually, death.

In this life? He would only rely on that skill if he had no other choice.

He shook his head, refocusing.

Then—his eyes lit up with joy.

“The Abomarian bloodline…”

Even in his original time, the Abomarian bloodline was feared.

Not because it was the strongest—but because it was the most dangerous.

Its main trait: the Seal Body.

Once awakened, the user would gain an enormous reserve of Eternal Energy, along with access to a terrifying sealing technique: Eternal Energy Seal—which could lock an opponent’s energy flow and render them powerless temporarily.

Other people could use sealing techniques too, but the process took hours.

Abomarians could do it in seconds.

And the seals?

They weren’t taught—they were inherited.

Etched into the genes.

All it took was evolving the bloodline, and the knowledge would awaken.

Marcus’s eyes dimmed slightly.

“Unfortunately…”

He exhaled, disappointed.

Typically, Abomarian clan members awakened their bloodline around age 10.

Not all did… but the majority did.

Only the unqualified few failed.

Unfortunately, this body?

Was one of those few.

No other explanation made sense.

The vessel’s potential was simply too low.

And now… that problem was Marcus’s to solve.

He had ideas. But they all required massive energy reserves.

He looked at his skill bar.

Only a handful of abilities were displayed.

He knew more techniques than this—far more. But apparently, only the ones he or the original vessel had used appeared.

The only advanced skill visible was All for One.

Marcus guessed that was because of its extremely high level.

“Hmm… is it because I haven’t used them yet?”

He frowned.

With that thought, Marcus tried something.

Based on the memories in this body, he circulated Eternal Energy and formed five hand seals in sequence: 0.1.0.1.0.

The seal system here closely resembled the digit-based arrays he used in his original era.

The hand seals were clumsy—he still wasn’t fully synced with this body.

Still, he moved the energy as required and attempted to perform the Disguise Technique.

Nothing happened.

He frowned deeper.

“I thought my experience could compensate for this body’s lack of talent…”

“Wait—”

His eyes narrowed, shifting back to the skill panel.

A faint distortion blinked across the screen—and then, a new line appeared:

> – Disguise Technique: Level 0 (50)

His confusion didn’t last long.

As the skill registered, new information surged into his mind, showing how to interact with the system and take advantage of it.

He leapt up, filled with sudden joy.

If anyone else had been in the medical wing with him, they would’ve thought he’d lost his mind.

“Holy—this is insane!!”

He forced himself to calm down.

“Relax… breathe. Let’s test this properly first…”

He sat back on the medical bed, closed his eyes, and began channeling the Eternal Energy Triangle—a technique requiring the body, spirit, and mind in harmony.

A phantom black triangle appeared on his forehead—the convergence point of those three forces.

The body was the vessel, the spirit was the efficiency, and the mind… was control.

Marcus maintained the technique for almost an hour.

Then, he stopped—or rather, he was forced to.

His spirit had hit its limit.

Though his body could’ve continued extracting energy, his spirit stat wasn’t high enough to keep up with continuous refinement.

If he wanted to keep going, he’d have to rest for at least four hours.

Still—this was enough to test the system’s true capabilities.

He halted the technique.

As the black triangle faded from his forehead, Marcus opened his eyes.

A smile touched his lips.

His energy reserves felt renewed.

With a thought, he summoned the panel again…

The sky was covered with black clouds, and thunder roared above the deep valley, while thousands of soldiers faced each other in a merciless battlefield. The ground shook under the pounding of feet, and the clashing of swords mingled with the roar of explosions. Across the horizon, the two front lines merged in a torrent of blood and smoke. "Taron Kilva" charged from the front ranks, his hand seals forming at an astonishing speed, before he extended his arms forward: "Lightning Style: Thunder Dragon!" A giant blue dragon surged forth, roaring as it tore through the enemy lines, destroying everything in its path. The burning soldiers fell to the ground, and sparks flew around it like rain. Beside him, "Larina Vest" retreated slightly, her eyes gleaming with a deadly coldness. She closed her fingers in a rapid sequence of seals: "Ice Style: Grave Cage!" Ice rose from beneath the earth, coiling around a group of fire knights, before closing in like the fangs of an icy beast, turnin

The air in the tent was heavy, saturated with the scent of burning wax and damp leather, the warmth of breaths mingling with the dampness of aged fabric. The eyes fixed on Marcus were like drawn swords, weighing every movement, analyzing every breath, as if trying to peel away his layers until they reached his core."What do you think, Marcus?" Teris asked, her tone sharp as a blade, her hands tightly clasped on the wooden table, the joints of her fingers showing white under the skin.He lifted his head slowly, as though some hidden weight was pulling his neck toward the ground, and stared at the row of faces waiting for him. "Here lies the role of the Kingdom of Rika..." Marcus slowly raised his hand, as if every movement was calculated, before extending his finger toward the map laid out in front of them, precisely indicating a small gray spot located near the town of Nekolia. "The Kingdom of Rika?" General Korvan asked, his eyes narrowing as suspicion settled across his face. "This kingdom... since ancient times, it has maintained strict neutrality, never once involving itself in any political or military conflict between the great powers..." "I don't know..." Marcus said in a neutral tone, immediately noticing how Korvan’s expression deepened into an even harsher frown, as if Marcus’s words had failed to satisfy his curiosity or ease his doubts. "Truly, I don't know. The information I obtained from the member of the Shapeshifters Clan was extremely limited, and it didn’t go beyond this..." Darius, who had been silent for a moment, leaned forward slightly and said sharply, "Simply put, this informa
