Chapter 7: Divorce

Natalia rolled her eyes at my words and placed her hand on her hip.

"It doesn't matter how you feel about this all that matters here is me and how I feel" She replied with arrogance.

"Are you out of your mind?" I asked in annoyance.

" You want me to accept the child of your lover?" I asked in disbelief, staring at her as if she had grown two heads, because honestly I am starting to think she did.

" If you knew you were going to cheat on me you should have done it properly and not get yourself knocked up,you should come up with a better plan for your child because I am not going to accept someone else's child as my own!" I shout in anger.

"I think we will have a problem there because I am not getting rid of this child Thomas, you have to accept it,there is no other way around this, We are married and it's normal for us as a married couple to have kids. I think we have waited long enough." Natalia said with on single remorse as she stood her ground.

A frown on her face.

Did she actually expect me to accept the child of her lover after she cheated on me?

 How low can this woman go? 

"What exactly is going through that brainless head of yours ,to think that I would accept a child I know nothing about...damn Natalia you are pathetic." I hissed at her.

At this point I was fuming in rage in front of her as I glared daggers at her.

"Thomas, don't insult me." She said,

"Get out of my room!" I yelled at her pointing at the door.

"You're asking me to get out of your room in my own house?" She asked before bursting out in laughter.

My hand fell to my side when it dawned on me that I was the helpless one here.

I am an orphanage,tossed from one foster home to the other and now I got here with her.

I bit my lower lips and clenched my fists.

How could she hurt me this way after everything I had done for her.

I gave her all the credit for my work.

If I had gone to work for her Father I would not have received half the insult this family had given me and what people now say about me.

A golddigger when I only wanted Natalia to love me.

I scoffed at my pathetic state.

"Accept the child or be kicked out of this house, your choice Thomas." Natalia gave me that option and she was unrepentant of her actions.

"Get out of my room you cheat!" I yelled at and when she didn't move I got a hold of her hand and dragged her out of my room shutting the door behind me.

Natalia, why did I meet you that day?

I stumbled down on the back of my door thinking about my life and how I let it get this messed up and get insulted by Gabriel's family that I was actually helping.

 Shortly after I heard a lot of banging on the door with thunderous screams coming from Gabriel.

"I will break down this door and drag you out myself if you don't open it!" He yelled in anger.

I went to my nightstand, took my laptop and wallet and a few clothes and put it in a backpack before opening up the door and Gabriel threw a punch at me which I easily caught his hand.

The guards with him got a hold of me and under Gabriel's instructions they dragged me out to the living room.

"After all my family did for you, you had to do something like this to us. What do I expect from a low life like you!" Gabriel continued shouting at top of his lungs insulting me while I kept quiet.

When we got to the living room I saw Natalia shedding fake tears as her mother consoled her.

"I didn't know that you were grateful to this point that you would get my daughter pregnant and ask her to get rid of it!" Mrs Gabriel shouted at me as he charged at me slapping me hard across the face.

Now Natalia has twisted all these and I knew no one would believe me.

"I knew that it would get to this point one day , he dares bite the hand that feeds him." Logan hissed at me.

"Kneel and apologize to my daughter or you will leave this house." Gabriel threatened.

"That child isn't mine and I won't accept it. I would rather leave." I said firmly and pushed the guards hands away from me.

"Call the lawyer to draft the divorce I have had enough of you. I don't want to see your face anymore." Gabriel ordered and the lawyer was called.

Natalia seeing that I was not willing to accept this child and seeing my resolve wiped her tears away as I stared at her in disgust.

"Dad...dad you don't have to go so far I just wanted to accept the child." Natalia tried pleading with her Father but he refused to listen.

"He is just a waste of space and air in this house. He needs to leave this instant and no delay." Gabriel shouted.

" Where is the Lawyer call him now!" Gabriel shouted ignoring Natalia and the lawyer arrived shortly after with the drafted divorce papers.

 My backpack was searched and when they saw only my old laptop and wallet and clothes they handed it back to me.

"Sign the divorce papers and don't expect to get anything from me." Gabriel said to me and Natalia pleaded that he stopped.

"Daddy please he is my husband please don't make me divorce him he is my husband." Natalia cried out and I don't know if she was crying real tears or fake tears.

"You don't deserve such a man,you deserve a man of your status,a man that would treat you with respect, don't worry about your child, I will take care of it" He told her.

"Let Natalia sign it first and I will sign it." I said picking up the paper and reading.

It stated that I would get nothing and that was all.

I was fine with that.

Nothing attached to it.

"Sign it Natalia so he would leave this house...you would be the future heiress, you deserve someone better than this lowlife." Gabriel ordered Natalia.

"Dad please no I don't...I don't want a divorce i..I just wanted him to accept his child,that's all I wanted dad not a divorce, daddy please don't make me sign it. " Natalia pleaded with her father who wasn't ready to change his mind.

"Sign the papers Natalia." Gabriel's voice thundered in annoyance at her reluctant attitude.

"Thomas, don't do this to me, think about our marriage,our child." Natalia turned to me, seeing that her plan to threaten me to submission would not work.

As if I haven't had enough of this.

"Sign it and I will be out of your life Natalia ,I don't want to be tied down to you or this family anymore." I told her.

Her parents and older brother Logan persuaded her and in the hot seat she signed it and I signed the divorce papers as well and a sigh of relief left me.

"You all would regret this action today, mark my words today ." I told them.

"You would come back begging." They said as I left out of this damn house and my freedom was gotten back.

I would make Natalia pay for insulting my love for her and her family….They would regret everything they did to me.

Meeting Natalia ruined my name. I would make sure I ruin her life and the name I got for her.
