Untouchable Arnold Hayes

Chapter 1

"You're out of here, and don't come back." A man with an eagle gaze spoke with great emphasis.

He moved his hand, patting the shoulder of Arnold, who was standing quietly.

Arnold had just taken off his prison clothes. He looked at Paulus and nodded his head. He looked calm. "Of course."

Arnold immediately left Paulus' presence. Walking with vast strides, he left the cold prison walls.

His steps were viewed with intimidation from the people around him. Ignoring all of that and walking calmly.

Arnold exhaled his breath. Lowered his gaze and spoke softly. "I'm finally going back home."

Arnold did not want to look back and stare at the large gates of the prison again.

Solidgate Prison was a very famous prison for high-class and dangerous criminals with a terrible security system. It was a very horrible prison house. Almost every day, news of inmate deaths always haunted whoever was in it.

Rumour has it that if anyone enters Solidgate Prison, then no one can survive.

At the beginning of being there, Arnold thought that he would die. Either get violence from fellow prisoners or violence from a warden. Especially when Arnold was the only person who had entered this prison without committing a crime.

Arnold's face hardened as he remembered four years ago when he received a call from his girlfriend, Starlla, during a rainstorm.

Starla had called him frightened, saying that her father, Fran, had accidentally killed someone. When Arnold arrives, he learns that the man, Fran killed was a man from the Waston family who entered suddenly and wanted to attack him.

Starla explained that business competition had made them enemies. That was very surprising to Arnold. He knew about the Waston family, which is a very influential family.

At that time, Starla was very scared, saying that she didn't want to lose her father. In the end, Arnold decides to become a shield, taking over Fran's punishment.

At that moment, Starla felt very happy. She held both of Arnold's hands and said, "Arnold, after you get out of prison, we will get married. I promise I'll wait for you."

Arnold's gaze looked cold, staring at the warden who was busy with the lock. Until then, the gate opened wide, allowing Arnold to step through with a satisfied smile.

"Finally, after four years, I have been freed from here." He breathed in the air of freedom.

He looked up, letting the sun's glare penetrate his skin. He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. For four years, he had only spent his time inside the dungeon. And getting to feel the sunshine and the breeze again was something he had been longing for.

Arnold looked at the ring on his finger. Paulus had given it to him a few months before he was declared free.

Paulus had been his teacher when they were in prison. But he was a death row inmate who would never get out of prison, and he had only one year left on his sentence.

Unfortunately, Arnold's realization that he would no longer be able to meet Paulus left him sad.

"Paulus, I will miss you."

Arnold's eyes were still fixed on the black ring. In the end, he parted ways with his teacher. All this time, he remembered how Paul had taught him many things in prison.

Arnold took something out of his bag. A breath came out of his mouth. He saw the black box Paulus had given him and other things. He remembered Paulus saying that Arnold could open it when he was outside the gate.

"He's always so bossy."

Arnold smiled bitterly as he thought about Paulus. Arnold tensed up, knowing that he wouldn't be able to see him again after this. Then, he stared at the black box in his hand, opening it slowly. But he was very surprised to find out what was inside.
